I think the real reason people don't talk to me anymore is because I keep showing them those horrible mobile game ads as a joke lol

I have a bunch that I saved from Reddit and FaceBook from people mocking horrible ads and I save them to make jokes about, like I had a few Game of Sultan ones I gave to Sarah that reminded me of our RP lol I think I gave you a random one for some coin game with a joke I made that said something like 'japanese commercials be like'

Me: "I don't want to watch Yuri on Ice, it's not really my thing,"

Sarah's been so busy because of graduate school and I was glad she said something since I was genuinely wondering what had happened to her, she usually is extremely on-top of RPing but it is nice to know nothing is actually wrong with her. I wonder what she's studying, I should ask her the next time I get the chance, I know she has a minor at least in Russian/Eastern European history but I don't think that was her main field of study, I think she just did that because she wanted to, but she has an actual career choice in mind

I saw a comment saying 'you listen to lofi when you study? can I introduce you to electro-swing?' and I was like 'HECK YEAH ELECTRO-SWING'

Look I know people my age poke fun at Heathers and the fact they all have the same name but they only find it funny because they haven't had the experience of that basically being their life, when I was younger there used to be so many Elizabeths in my school, we'd make our own little group and dress similarly and did everything together and in intermediate school I was in a class with another Elizabeth and they'd all call us that, the Elizabeths, and we always had to write our last initial on our papers so the teachers knew which Elizabeth it was and had to specify who it was when we were asked a question or told to do something, and us two would just continuously call each other Elizabeth and so did our friends, not to mention Mom said the movie was poking fun of how common a name Heather was back then and was seen as a 'mean girl' name, mine is a basic white girl name and that's why there are so many Elizabeths, kids should be lucky their parents were just a small bit adventurous with the names, prevents stuff like that from happening

I don't think I know anyone named Heather, I don't think I ever did. I knew people with names far better than mine though lol

Reminds me of Mom saying she finds middle names to be really stupid and frivolous because they do little in the way of identification, they're just basically extra fancy names to put on yours and people don't need them and I said dead-pan 'you gave me two middle names' and she said 'obviously, you have an extremely fancy name now because of me!'

She hated middle names so much she gave my baby brother my dad's first name as his middle name purely because 'i'm not giving him thomas as a middle name, do you know how many little boys at the church are named thomas?!'

Mom and I watched an anime episode before my brothers woke up for school and I had breakfast and for once it felt normal to be doing this, sometimes we'd watch anime together right after the boys went to school and she'd make me breakfast like a parfait and even though I feel like it's bad to relax in times like these and claim everything is how it was, at the same time I want to try and settle back into normalcy in some way and this morning was one of the few times I genuinely felt like that

I randomly thought of when Mom used to listen to B97 all of the time which is a radio station here and it plays popular music and there was this one song she'd always get super excited when it started to play, only to realize it was a One Direction song and be like 'oh man is this that one direction song again?!' to the point I have those first few verses memorized just waiting for Mom to comment on them lol

She feels neutral towards them, I think she was upset since she felt like the song didn't seem very 'One Direction' to her it sounded like an alternative song lol

Why'd this person censor 'sexual desire' in this song? They'd have to censor the whole entire song then since the whole song is about sex. G.U.Y. literally means 'Girl Under You' it's about how you don't need to be the dominate sexual partner to feel sexy and 'worth it'

I remember when I was in jazz band my junior year and that meant we got to play at my school's annual swing-dance and I was so excited; I had never been but I was absolutely ready and prepared to have a good time, Mom even made me a cloche hat which didn't really fit the flapper theme I gave myself but it was good enough, I went to all of the swing-dancing tutorials my school had, and on the day of the dance, I went to school in my 1920's-inspired dress despite it being very cold and snowy because I was going to be staying after to help with everything. I was so excited, not even the fact my blood drive failed yet again could bring me down. Then during lunch I found out my mom was in the hospital. I don't remember why, I just remember she was in the hospital. My grandparents told me to come straight home after school because they didn't know how long she'd be kept and my brothers needed me at home. Deeply saddened but knowing I had to do what I had to do, I told my conductor at the end of the day I wasn't going to be able to play at the swing dance. I was super remorseful and would've stayed if I could but I couldn't. He asked me suspiciously why I couldn't stay for such an important event and I said my mom was in the hospital and thus I was needed at home to take of my younger siblings since they didn't know when Mom was going to be released. He basically told me I already had a prior engagement and I can't just call it off like that without prior knowledge because everyone was needed in the band and I was one of the ones who worked the hardest towards the show and was even dressed for it, and I tried to say I legit couldn't stay, I was needed for a family emergency, but he was persistent and tried to get me to stay, so I just walked straight out of his office. I loved everything I was doing and I was devastated that I couldn't do it anymore, but you can't get in the way of my actual duties. I thought I was going to get in trouble with him the next day but all was forgiven. Still, what kind of a conductor would try to force a student of theirs to fulfill their role at some dance when their mom is in the hospital and they have younger siblings they need to watch as a result? I was only third trombone! I was hardly a requirement!

     What about a blood drive?
What about a blood drive? I can't believe bed say that. Especially if there's more than one person on the same instrument!
My school would do a blood drive every year but you had to be sixteen at least to do it. My sophomore year they sent me away since I was 'too nervous' and my junior year they literally never showed up, like the whole place was set up and everything but they showed up late, only did a few people and told everyone else to leave. So I just took the remainder of their snacks. My senior year I honestly forgot to sign up but after the previous two failures could you really blame me?

Actually third trombone is an actual position in music, it's not how many there are. There's usually several first and second trombones for example, but I believe I really was the only third trombone

I guess I was just confused as to why you mentioned it :p
I guess I was just confused as to why you mentioned it :pis it different from the other trombone parts in any way? Like how there's Soprano 2 and Alto 2?
Yup, I'm usually trombone 2 but was specifically trombone 3 only in jazz band. Trombone 1 is associated with the harder and higher parts while trombones 2 and 3 had shorter parts that were mainly under whatever the trombone 1s were doing

I found it uncalled for, I was always at every other single band event ever put on that was obligatory, I even went to the jazz contest even though it lasted until midnight and I had a bad sour throat that night but I stayed for the whole night, yet the one time I genuinely truly cannot be there due to an actual family emergency you try to force me to stay?

One trend I hate in YA nowadays is that everyone always has to spell their main character's name in some weird way, I'm not talking about if it's a name that genuinely comes from another country or culture, and maybe a lot of them do, it just sometimes gets distracting, especially that 'y' as an 'i' trend

Reminds me of that post that says the extent of white people's creativity is changing the spelling of common names to be more unique

I saw one named Ceryse and I don't want to be mean to that author however it took me way too long to realize she likely meant Cerise. Why not just name her Cerise?

It's a shade of red. I heard of it because in Ever After High, Cerise Hood is a pun on her mom's name Red Riding Hood, though I will admit I've never heard it used as an actual name before. I thought the book in question was a Little Red Riding Hood retelling at first

Mom told me she actually finds Borat to be a funny movie and wanted to watch the sequel with me. Once again, I feel the more I learn about her the less I understand

My brothers ended up getting grilled cheese, turkey sandwiches, and pizza from their school today and my baby brother literally opened the freezer and said 'ugh we didn't get anything good today!' Joke's on him though I'm eating good tonight

Yeah it gives them breakfast and lunch. Last year, or more like second semester, I was able to get some too but now it's just purely for them. And it's actual school food, I recognize a lot of it as stuff I used to eat

Are people just not as flexible anymore? I was on the Food Fantasy Wiki the other day and one of the characters was posed a certain way and someone was talking about how both of their poses are super hard to do in real life. The first one was just standing slightly bent over with their arms outstretched, and the other was sitting cross-legged with your knees up and your arms out to play the drums. They said they were hard to replicate in real life and then hold for a long time without some kind of pain. I tried both poses out and they weren't hard to do at all? They were super easy and I felt no pain at all. Now I am also willing to admit I'm way more flexible than most people my age so I'm able to hold a lot of strange-looking poses for a long time and feel perfectly fine, but still

I'm glad Clone High has gotten a lot more recognition and became more popular since it was super unpopular when it first came out and hardly anyone knew about it, it's a good premise with funny jokes and maybe the fact that it's popular will finally give me the incentive to watch it for myself. It reminds me a lot of Hetalia except with famous historical figures as the main characters and not nations, and they actually do something with the school setting unlike Hetalia where they're just...there in school
