Mom told me some rednecks tried to lynch a black guy on the 4th of July, what the heck I thought my town was better than this

See my town is supposed to be way better than that. People would always side-eye you if you stared at an ethnic person for too long here

I mean it kinda is, but it's more of a card game lol I am online every day though and I donate in-game money to the guilds and do boss battles with people
The book drop-box at the library was overstuffed with books and I had to literally jam mine inside getting it stuck inbetween other stuff and it was probably one of the saddest things I've ever seen in my life

I talked Mom into getting me some alcohol for a drink I want to try that's a milkshake with alcohol mixed-in basically and she wanted to try a new recipe so she agreed, and my brothers both instantly flipped out over me being allowed to drink alcohol; my middle brother said I drank a margarita once over Christmas a few years ago so he was allowed to try some too, and my baby brother said he didn't want me to drink alcohol because I'd get addicted and I said wanting to try an alcoholic milkshake wasn't going to make me addicted, and he said he didn't want a sister who drinks ten beers a day and I was like: "That's disgusting, beer sounds disgusting, I'd never do that,"
My mom and I were looking at alcohol milkshake recipes earlier :D I have some peanut butter whiskey
I don't think I'd like whisky, isn't it like really strong and bitter? I don't think I'd like bitter-tasting alcohol
I have no idea. I've had like, a few sips of rum mixed with soda and that's it. Nothing else.

Mom told me that it's now illegal in our town to go out without a mask, the police will give you a fine if they catch you without one. I kinda anticipated that though because almost every business in town if not all have made it absolutely mandatory to have a mask on if you plan to go inside, if you don't have one and refuse to wear a disposal one provided then they'll turn you away. They're on doors everywhere in downtown; 'Monroe County Health Department strongly advises citizens to wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19; therefore our business will not serve anyone who doesn't have one on, disposal masks provided at the door if you need one' There's also some places offering discounts to people who come in wearing masks to entice others to wear them
I don't know if it's illegal to be maskless here but some businesses have said they *have* to require masksWhat I want to know is how that's "taking away rights". What rights? There's no right anywhere that says "You don't need to take measures to protect yourself during a global pandemic that's killed more Americans than all but two of our wars"

WHen they go "muh rights!" it's about wearing the mask itself. People scream when they're asked to put on masks and people have literally been murdered over it

Reminds me of that one joke theory I see everywhere that oxygen is actually poison to us and drugs let us see reality how it actually is and that’s why they’re illegal

Maybe fixing my schedule was a bad idea because now I have even less time on the laptop!
How so?
Everyone is awake during the day now so Mom uses the TV and my brothers alternate using the laptop leaving me with the iPod which sucks because at the moment I feel way too sick to be dealing with letting it charge
It won't stop storming here, our power even went out earlier but I was asleep so I don't know the exact details. I just know I woke up very early and saw my clock flashing which meant it was reset
It was storming here yesterday..I got some video of the downpour

Reminds me of a few years ago when we had a massive downpour of large hail and I eagerly grabbed a piece afterwards because I wanted to count the rings but it melted almost instantly inside and I was so disappointed that hailstones feel almost exactly like ice droplets
