Reminds me of this kid in my homeroom in high-school who wanted to be a programming entrepreneur and once talked about a friend of his who got involved in a huge programming scavenger hunt that only a programmer could figure out because of the references and coding, but the company that set it up was a really shady corporation that practically enslaves anyone who finishes the riddle and gets to the end because it says a lot about their intellect and make it impossible for them to quit and work someplace else, and the friend relayed that while he was trying to solve the riddle, he was also getting anonymous messages related to the riddle that said stuff like 'you don't really want to work for them' 'if you don't quit now you'll regret it' Needless to say the friend stopped shortly after the second puzzle was solved
Me: "Mom's probably going to try and make me go to the store later to get stuff for me to eat, so I might as well see what the weather's like-" Weather: "Snow, gusty winds and subzero wind chills!"
Me: "Nah, I think I'll just go hungry,"
My middle brother made a bacon-cheddar quiche and I really want to eat it because it sounds delicious but it wasn't refrigerated properly so I'm extremely hesitant because stuff like that can make you sick incredibly easy if they're improperly handled

I randomly remembered when I was watching the Vine of that girl lip-synching to Ice Cream Paint-Job on the TV and my baby brother came in the room and asked if that was our aunt and to this day everytime I see that Vine I lose it because that's all I can think of lol
My baby brother is upset because some girl rejected him at school and all I can think is ‘please teach me your secrets I can’t handle you getting a girlfriend before me’
My middle brother’s teacher came by with some medicine and Gatorade for him and he took Night-Quil to go to bed and my baby brother asked super happily: “Can I take Night—Quil too?!”
Now Mom is starting to get sick from my middle brother yikes

Did I ever tell you guys that story about this one time I arrived in middle-school back in like seventh grade or something a bit late because I had slept in and a huge part of the school was closed off and I asked some of my friends what had happened and they said some drunk guy drove his car into the entryway of the school crashing into the boys' bathroom and he evidently thought he was at Taco Bell and the cops were called and arrested the guy but he didn't put up a fight, he just went with the police calmly, and they removed the car but it took them a week and a half to rebuild the entryway and the walls around the boys' bathroom and our teachers sent us home with a letter explaining what had happened and my dad demanded to tell him who the heck sends out a letter to parents that someone crashed his car in a middle-school and didn't even injure or kill anyone? Because that happened and I'll never forget it
Watch I'll go turn the TV off and my baby brother will wake up and get all upset at me asking why I turned the TV off when I knew he was still watching itDude you are literally unconscious on the couch with one of the worst colds you've ever had in your life, you are most certainly not still watching it
Someone on our block called the police this morning and Mom was hoping they wouldn't come questioning us because she had accidentally ripped her nightgown down the front, and she didn't want to come to the door with her breasts hanging out like 'hello officer did you need something?' and I said they're cops, they've probably seen far stranger things, it's part of their job, and Mom was like: "You're right, I should've known. I used to watch COPS,"

Like a part of me wants to give my future kids bizarre names that they’ll forever have to live with but the other part doesn’t want to because I know what it’s like to live with a name you hate and I also don’t think I could get away with it as authors are expected to name their kids conventional names and not something weird

I'm thankful that Mom had the power to name me anything she wanted and I'd have to deal with it and she picked a basic white girl name lol

I convinced Mom to watch The Lighthouse and I'm excited because I heard it was really super good but I was afraid she wouldn't be interested in it because she dislikes modern movies

It's a horror movie about two lighthouse workers in the mid-1800's where you don't know if they're just being driven insane by their long isolation or these things are genuinely happeningShe just doesn't think movies are interesting anymore. Not good, as in she still acknowledges a lot of modern movies are creative and risk-takers, but there's nothing that personally interests her anymore like she never sees a trailer and is like 'omg drop everything at once I must go see this in the theater!!!' she thinks TV is making more stuff she must see or die in comparison to movies
Yeah I feel that way too. But my dad mostly tries to get me to watch popcorn flicks which hasn't helped my passion for movies
