It always amuses me whenever I see people complain about manga adaptations of Star Wars stories as part of the reason why the original trilogy even exists is because George Lucas visited Japan and saw their samurai epics and really liked them, but wondered why America didn't have an equivalent to that. So he came up with the idea for Star Wars and I think that influence shows even in the prequel trilogy. Heck I'd even go so far as to say even the newer trilogy despite not being made by George Lucas himself has some very anime-ish ties to it

Yeah, a big part of Star Wars was the idea of westerns and Ronin storiesThe Jedi are partially based on Samurai but the relation to European knights and monks is a bit more obvious.
You know..mI don't think the movies ever elaborate on the code. The expanded universe does but I don't know how close to Bushido it really is.
Well from what I'm reading it seems the basic codes for Bushido are righteousness, heroic courage, compassion and benevolence, respect, honesty, honor, duty and loyalty, and self-control, as well as respecting those around you, being wise, and respecting your elders
'do LGBT people honestly even wear pride flags or anything of that sort' Me; with two rainbow flag pins on my backpack: 'no'
They're doing super loud construction next door and I hate it. How can my mom even sleep through this?
I've played way too much RCT2; I started listening to the soundtrack and I'm not even looking at the names yet the instant a song starts playing I readily recognize it by name
Mom thinks it’s funny how her favourite era of Disney is the Renaissance and mine is the Revival lol
Because Mom was eleven in 1989 when The Little Mermaid came out, starting the era, and twenty-two in 1999 when Tarzan came out, ending the era, while I was eleven in 2009 when The Princess and the Frog came out, starting that era, and twenty-two in 2019 when Frozen 2 came out, ending the era lol
OhhI mean Frozen 2 just came out so maybe it's not quite time to talk about end of an era, especially since it's thje most recent(?) animated Disney movie?
But what do I know :P
It might still be the end of an era, might not be, who knows, though the majority of Disney ones usually only last for a decade give or take
I was surprised when Mom said she really likes the song Bad Guy because she doesn't really like a lot of modern music but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised either since it sounds like something she'd really like lol
I actually like that tooand this cover of it I've heard.
I never would've heard it if not for the radio though
Ugh I have to go to the store today but I don't really want to, it's really cold and it's going to start snowing around the time I have to be out. But I don't have anything here to eat, if I want dinner I'm going to have to go. But I'm afraid of it getting super cold while I'm out in it and not being able to do anything
Because it's my food Well technically if I go I have to get some other stuff for Mom, but the understanding is that it's mainly for me that I'm going
I’ve walked in temperatures far colder than that honestly. It’s more the snow I’m concerned about I said the car has no gas in it
I told Mom I felt awkward on the bus ride home because the driver asked if anyone had transfers because we were running late and everyone said they did but me and literally everyone got off except for me lol And then we laughed about how everyone had a transfer for 3E but one guy had a transfer for 4W

I also went to Antique Mall earlier to see what new things they got and they have this huge area set up near the front where people in town can send in their own antiques and set their prices and tell about the antique’s history if they want to. There’s always interesting stuff there but today I saw a set of real jade earrings the seller said were from the Qing Dynasty in China and that their mother received the earrings as a present from their father back in 1942 when she lived in China. I really wanted those earrings, not to wear but just to own because how many people can genuinely say they own a pair of earrings dating back to the Qing Dynasty?
Once they had a huge selection of necklaces made entirely from amber that washed up on the shores from the Baltic Sea
