Mom said the reason why I watched so much Baby Einstein as a baby was because back then there was a popular belief that if your baby listened to classical music a bunch they'd grow up to be intelligent. Obviously that's been disproved since though

No one day she randomly came up to me and was like ‘you know if you wanted to wear thongs you’re allowed to, I don’t mind. Plenty of girls and women your age wear them because they don’t show off panty lines. I never found them to be super comfortable but you might like them,’

Who knows lol Probably something about a girl wanting to wear thongs but not being able to. She reads the strangest things

Also reminds me of when I was in school I’d paint my nails with Dry-Erase Markers because I was bored in class and Dad sat me down and said ‘I’m not like a regular dad you know. I’ll let you wear nail polish and any other kind of makeup,’ and I was like ‘but Dad I already do wear real nail polish...I’m just a bored fourteen-year-old’ lol

Mom: “I think I just respect those films more because they’re darker. I mean, that movie ends with the dog dying at the end!”Me: “Well it’s not called All Dogs Go to Heaven for no reason!”
I randomly remembered when somebody said the best part about the Sims is that you can walk around with a thousand eggs in your pockets and nobody cares, and someone else said ‘women do that in real life too except with their vaginas’ and it took me far too long to understand what they meant because I thought they were referring to women shoving chicken eggs up there and I was like ‘but I’m a woman and I don’t do that!!! and your vagina can’t hold a thousand chicken eggs anyway!’

Me: “I haven’t seen any of these movies aside from like one, so I for one, as the Danganronpa fans like to put it before they make everyone gay and transgendered, am mad excited,”

Mom and I are doing Disney-O-Rama inspired by other people on YouTube who did the same thing; we’re watching every single animated Disney movie with a few omissions. We’re in the Dark Age currently(70’s-80’s) and I said I’m excited because I haven’t seen anything from this era aside from The Black Cauldron and Robin Hood

I kinda want to see Black CauldronThere are actually a lot of Disney movies I've never sene. both new and old
I love that movie. My mom has never seen it so I’m stoked for her to watch it. She loves that book series it was based on

UwU? Steins;Gate: My Darling's Embrace is finally coming to English-speaking audiences? This truly deserves all the UwU's and the OwO's and the nyans~ too

Hearing you say stuff like that made me uncomfortable :P or at least confusedis that a game or anime?
What UwU? Why lol It's a game. It takes place in a universe where Okabe accidentally destroys his lab and needs money to repair it, so he decides to go about that task by dating all of the girls in Steins;Gate. It's a huge tongue-in-cheek satire of harem/fanservice things while also being a huge harem/fanserivce game
It's kinda like the School/Island Modes in Danganronpa now that I think about it, but as like an entire game instead of just a bonus feature

My favourite comment was someone saying 'just remember one of those beautiful girls is actually a guy' and someone else saying 'he doesn't have to be ;)'

Because you don't normally do that so it's kind off bizarre :P
TAKE MY MONEY!!
My mom is always really confused by the fact I can wake up and instantly be ready to eat and I'm like 'isn't everyone though? that's what breakfast is for' She calls me a newborn because of it lol

What the heck is the appeal of lo-fi music? I've listened to a bunch of it in my day and it all literally sounds exactly the same no matter what the theme/aesthetic is meant to be

It's a bit hard to describe to someone who hasn't heard it before. It's like...really aesthetic, low-quality sounding songs like stuff you'd hear on sixties radio. That's the best way I can describe it

I told Mom about how when I went to Disney World, at one point I started crying and an employee came over to comfort me and Mom said if that happened to me again an Olaf might come over and try to comfort me and I told her I would much rather have literally any other Disney character in their whole entire arsenal come over and try to make me feel better than Olaf

I wasn't having a very good day and this one ride I really wanted to go on had really confusing rules about who could and who couldn't ride it and it was too much for me so I started crying and one of the employees who ran the ride came after me and made me feel betterI fail to see how it was awkward, I was still a child and that's kinda their job lol They probably see thousands of crying children and have to deal with them
Well, you were a teenager were you not? Cause I was 14 when Frozen came out so you would have been..16? :PI guess I should have clarified though: I meant they tried comforting you with Olaf and that was the one character you absolutely cannot stand above all others so that kind of backfired on them.
Oh no, I wasn't comforted with Olaf. I was comforted by a staff member at some Epcot ride called Visions of the Future or something like that. Mom was saying if we went to Disney World now and I started crying for whatever reason an Olaf might come over to me and I don't want Olaf to comfort me lol

So, I finally bit the bullet and watched Hazbin Hotel. Because much like here on GoodReads, whenever people start getting up-in-arms about things, the best thing is to just read the book for yourself and form your own opinion. And in this case it was just watch the pilot. Well I did. And I must say....I'm absolutely floored by how much I ended up loving it. I knew next to nothing about it except for the target demographic and thus it sounded like something I'd find decent but nothing I'd really consider going back to. But man was I wrong. It's a super creative and unique plot, it's a musical which is really rare for television shows though it's becoming a bit more common, I already love Princess Charlie. I also really love the dieselpunk vibe the show has as well as the character designs. While I'm not very big on the actual animation, I won't deny it's stylized and as I already said, the character designs themselves are solid.
It is just a pilot, however because of that I felt like a lot of character introductions were rushed through, as if the creator really wanted to introduce as many major characters as she could but knew she only had a limited amount of time to do so. The biggest dividing point for everyone seems to be the humor, which....I really don't get. I laughed a few times, but overall the humor is very reminiscent of the same-old TV-MA style of humor you see nowadays. People swearing at each other, references to drugs and sex, things of that nature. That's what I don't get. Why is everyone acting like this show's humor is the coming of the Anti-Christ? (excuse the pun) It's no different from any other adult-aimed cartoon. If anything I think it makes way more sense in a show like this given its subject matter. People need to stop being so sensitive about these things. There are far worse shows with this type of humor that are far more tasteless and uncaring in it. Go after one of those shows.
Anyway, the point is that I really enjoyed this. A really enjoyable premise with a unique setting and style with fun characters and songs. It's just a pilot but I'm already desperately asking for more. This is such a good show already and has the potential to go really far and become super popular; it's already blown up in fact! Consider me a fan too!
It sounds like you didn;t want to watch it at first ((biting the bullet as you said)). How come? Assuming I'm right in that analysis :P

Because it didn't really seem like something worth my time. Not being mean to the creators or anything, however all anyone ever talked about was the crass adult humor in it, so I figured it was just a typical adult show with a cutesy art style and believe it or not I'm not a fan of being crass just to be crass in most circumstances. So I simply avoided it until eventually I was just like 'well it's only the pilot, might as well just watch it and if it's truly that terrible I can just turn it off'
