Originally because we did a ‘I pick a book for us to read and you pick a book for us to read’ because she was sick of me telling her about books she’s never read and never will read But I kept dragging my feet and making excuses about not reading hers but I did eventually get the book from the library but she was sick of waiting and started reading it to me
She just needs to get me in the right mood but she never does
I never really had any interest in reading it in the first place and her constantly shoving it down my throat is making me absolutely loathe the book though I don’t mean to
The best part? It’s got like twelve books in the series or something
I did for the longest time, found out about five years ago
NoooWhen they started doing the live action puppets or whatever there were commercials revealing Blue was a girl. I remember
I went to the store again today and in the line in front of me was this cute college guy who didn’t buy a lot. When he finished paying he suddenly sneezed really hard a few times and the cashier asked: “Are you alright?” And he said: “Yeah, I think I just have one of those autumn flus,” I was in the middle of unloading my basket and I just froze up so fast when I heard that lol
I will never forget that one time when I told my mom about a review I saw of The Gingerdead Man and how the reviewers said the movie was already so ridiculous there should’ve been a scene of him jerking off or something and someone in the comment section said: “Speaking as someone who has seen the sequels; yes, he does jerk off, and yes, it is a breadstick,” And then my mom said, without absolutely any hesitation or pause: “But why would it be a breadstick? That’s really disturbing to me because breads and pastries are made with two different types of dough. Things like breadsticks are made with a more starchy dough and things like gingerbread cookies or any sweet are made with a more sweet dough. You can’t just mix them together like that because the textures and mixtures are two completely different things,” And I just looked at her like: “THAT’S the thing that disturbs you?!”
I should've known better than to tell that to a woman who worked at a bakery for a good chunk of her life lol
I told my mom that she heavily reminds me of Winona Ryder since they have the same vibe and Mom even looked a bit like her in high school and she said she was so flattered because she thinks Winona Ryder is one of the most beautiful women she's ever seen and one of her first celebrity crushes as a teenager
My baby brother is really sick and is staying home today. But then like a dumbass he came downstairs for no reason, looked in the pantry, then collapsed on the couch and I ordered him to go back upstairs but he said he was in too much pain to, and so I asked him why he came downstairs in the first place and he stupidly replied: "I don't know," Now I have to sit here and listen to him moan and groan in pain all because his stupid self wouldn't stay in his room
He thinks he's sick with strep throat and I told him he wouldn't know what strep throat was if it hit him Seems like just a regular sore throat, probably a cold but he isn't sneezing or anything, just coughing
My dad's had strep throat many times and it's so bad he can't even get out of bed, let alone go up and down stairs.
i don't think he has it though. He was sent home from school yesterday because he had a bad cough and a red throat and he threw up, but the nurse said he wasn't running a fever and strep throat makes you run a fever I think Meh, something's going around town lately I noticed. He probably caught it from school because he's one of the most unsanitary people I've ever met
That's what I was saying. it's so agonizing it's hard to even get out of bed and he managed to go down a flight of stairs. There's no way
True but I think he did that just to spite me since he claims he's in so much agony. He's asleep now though I think I think he's trying to garner sympathy by saying it's way worse than it actually is. I think he just a regular sore throat and probably some kind of cold as I said
Not looking forward to possibly getting this though whatever it may be
I keep snickering about yesterday when I saw a squirrel trying to climb up a tree, angrily chittering at me but the winds blew too hard and it fell right off the tree a few feet away and I think it's hilarious when squirrels fall out of trees and Mom was like: "Well now you understand why Nick did nothing but laugh at that deer, you're laughing at a squirrel!" Me: "A squirrel in it's natural habitat, and also, I'm not laughing over it for weeks on end like he was!"
I told Mom about that Forward book series on Amazon Prime since I thought she'd be really interested in it since she really loves Black Mirror and she did really like it but seemed very disappointed it was only a book series and was an Amazon-exclusive since she didn't know how to get it for me

Next month is November which means I genuinely have to start getting serious about that thing I promised myself I’d do over the summer where I wrote birthday one-shots or just any kind of one-shot for as many Sagittarius anime characters that I knewI’m really going to be hating next month
Reviews: “Well the new IT movie really doesn’t follow the book all that much at all,”Me: “I have no interest in watching this movie,”
Reviews: “But there is a memorable scene, for better or for worse, where a diseased man holds Eddie down and vomits on him,”
Me: “I suddenly have a huge interest in watching this movie,”
I might have to, Mom doesn't want to watch it anymore after I told her they made two of the main characters gay for each other lol
She just doesn't like it since in the books it's explicitly stated that they're both straight as a board; one is even married. It's a plot point they both develop crushes on the same girl as kids. She says she doesn't care if they make characters gay for diversity, but it shouldn't be with characters who are actually explicitly stated to be straight. And yes, she'd be mad if it happened the other way too; a LGBT character explicitly stated to be and then made straight. She says things like that are better reserved for characters where the sexuality is more ambiguous
I don't really think it has much to do with familiarity, I think it's obvious they're not intended to be gay even if you don't know the story since that's not a common thing to write especially back then
Mom even brought that up saying he's never once cared about what other people think of him, and if he wanted to put a gay person in his books, he would've been explicit in saying they were gay instead of beating around the bush
Mom and I had a really interesting conversation earlier about cursed images and their differing effects on people after I told her about an interesting article I read about the subject
Then yeah, those kinds of images I think posting that cursed my computer, a bunch of tabs suddenly crashed at once lol
*everytime there's a hurricane somewhere in the world and it starts storming or raining here* My Baby Brother: "Is this the hurricane?!"
