Oh really? Do tell! I'm fascinated by the paranormal and supernatural as you probably know

I was doing dishes at 11 pm ish. Everyone but me was in bed
I looked in the corner of my eye and saw a girl with really long, black hair drooping in the front and covering her face. She was wearing an old fashioned white nightgown.
Now, that looks like a character type commonly seen in horror movies so I would have dismissed it as my imagination. Except in the brief moment I saw her, she vanished and left behind a deathly chill.

That's really freaky. I once had a physic connection with a ghost who lived in this house, but she's passed on now. Her name was Candace and she lived here in the 1950's. She wouldn't show me her appearance for a long time, then one night she said she felt comfortable enough to show me and her whole face was burnt off. A few days after that, she said she was ready to move on and did so. I haven't heard from any specters since then in this house. And nothing unexplained has happened since then. Like the kitchen used to smell like really delicious cooking sherry in the middle of the night. But not anymore

I HAVS seen alien spacecraft though. no actual aliens, sadly

Dad doesn't believe any of that stuff which is weird since he watches shows about real life paranormal encounters!
Obviously the UFOs were weather balloons. or swamp gas :D

So it's basically Sailor Moon but French lol

I just can't figure out what it is. Is it because those games have super detailed sprites? Is it because they're older? Is it because it's harder to find a compilation of sprites taken from the game in good quality?
If I knew how to sprite edit, I'd take it upon myself and just do it, I swear

Me: "This is either going to be ChihiroxMondo or feature a trans Chihiro, I can just tell by the set-up,"
*Tags recently added include 'trans female character' AND 'chihiroxmondo' 'it will be a slow burn though'*
Me: "This has been fun but I have to barf now,"

Transgendered means you literally do not feel like the gender you are born as. I'm questioning my own gender currently and it actually kinda sucks. However, that is the key phrase there. It does NOT mean you are a crossdresser. It has nothing to do with passing off as another gender. Now, there are indeed documented cases of both men and women crossdressing for various reasons and the more time they spent pretending to be that gender, the more they experienced gender dysphoria and realized they were mentally the other gender. A lot of people who think Chihiro is trans believe that of him. That he started out as a boy, but since he spent years dressing and acting as a girl, he experienced that same dysphoria and believes he is a girl.
I suppose that could make sense, especially since you never get his POV on the issue in the actual game.
HOWEVER, I dislike the idea of Trans!Chihiro because it takes what is left of his character and knocks it into a back-alley. Making Chihiro trans absolutely ruins the brilliant commentary on both him and Mondo about toxic masculinity and how society expects men to look and act a certain way. Making him trans ruins that because it's such a cheap way of saying 'oh but he was a girl all along!!!! so he had no reason to be concerned!!!' Also that 'he makes a convincing girl' thing is stupid. I have watched gameplays of people playing blind and many of them suspect something is up with Chihiro because he acts very boyish and makes references to it, like 'is it really so strange for a girl to like programming?!' He doesn't live as a girl, he is just barely passing!
I know that was long, but every time I see Trans!Chihiro fanfics I just get a special kind of angry and have to drop whatever it is I'm currently doing just to complain about it.

Aside from his looks and clothes he didn't seem girly at all. But i already knew the truth about him before I started playing so I guess it was obvious to me.

But transphobic is a better copout I guess

He said the lessons will be a bit grueling because it will be mainly self-taught practice with a few videos here and there as a supplement, but it also sounds like he helps out people like me who already have their foot in the door when it comes to the language. He had a similar backstory to me about why he became interested in the language and pop culture and it encourages me. I hope maybe his lessons can help me feel more confident about actuasly knowing the language, since whenever I translate things at the monent, I feel upset because 'oh it was just super easy stuff anyone could figure out'
I really hope he teaches me how to read it as well though, as due to my interest in literature and video games I'm more interested in learning how to read it than speak it. But I literally just started his lessons, so I'll just have to wait and see.
I have a strange feeling about this. Not a good feeling, not a bad feeling, more of a 'let's wait and see where this takes us' kind of feeling. However I still feel like I'm wrong for accepting these lessons. Should I?

...watch anime
That is highly cautioned against because the way Japanese is spoken in anime is often very stylized and over-exaggerated and people don't actually speak like that in Japan. I guess it's similar to our own cartoons. Imagine if someone tried to learn English by watching something like Danny Phantom. Do you think they'd learn a lot and sound fluid?

So why are you going through with it? I mean that's your choice but if you know it's a bad idea..

Like there's one character who gets anally raped with a pistol, and another character who gets very sick with a stomach bug and when he tries to get medicine for it, he gets jumped by a psycho nurse who rapes him
I somehow feel like I've made a horrible mistake in agreeing to this lol

Mom said she thought it'd fit very well with Danganronpa and here we are lol
