Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments I'm not sure if I believe in fae

but I DID see a ghost a few weeks ago!

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I'm not sure if it worked because nothing changed this morning when I woke up except for the milk bowl being put in the sink empty. I mean there's a giant piece of meat on the table but I'm pretty sure that's not from a fairy lol

Oh really? Do tell! I'm fascinated by the paranormal and supernatural as you probably know

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Someone did a really good TikTok cosplay of Ishimaru's unused execution and now I want to do one of Chihiro's unused execution but I don't feel very comfortable with being all drooly or wetting myself lol

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments I think fae like milk. I just read about it the other day

I was doing dishes at 11 pm ish. Everyone but me was in bed

I looked in the corner of my eye and saw a girl with really long, black hair drooping in the front and covering her face. She was wearing an old fashioned white nightgown.

Now, that looks like a character type commonly seen in horror movies so I would have dismissed it as my imagination. Except in the brief moment I saw her, she vanished and left behind a deathly chill.

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments They do like milk, and sweets too

That's really freaky. I once had a physic connection with a ghost who lived in this house, but she's passed on now. Her name was Candace and she lived here in the 1950's. She wouldn't show me her appearance for a long time, then one night she said she felt comfortable enough to show me and her whole face was burnt off. A few days after that, she said she was ready to move on and did so. I haven't heard from any specters since then in this house. And nothing unexplained has happened since then. Like the kitchen used to smell like really delicious cooking sherry in the middle of the night. But not anymore

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments I've heard footsteps and seen shadows at night but I dunno if that was supernatural or my head

I HAVS seen alien spacecraft though. no actual aliens, sadly

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I think I'm more sensitive to things like that for some reason. Maybe because both of my parents had a lot of supernatural experiences when they were younger. I had an out-of-body experience that messed me up really badly when I was younger. I haven't seen UFOs though

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments My mom's stepmom's ghost haunted her once ((literally just one time AFAIK)) and that's it

Dad doesn't believe any of that stuff which is weird since he watches shows about real life paranormal encounters!

Obviously the UFOs were weather balloons. or swamp gas :D

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I remember one time I was watching LoliRock with my mom in the room and there was a scene where one of the male villains mocks the main character for liking a necklace by saying things like 'did i say it was a pretty necklace? i meant it's a stupid necklace! a stupid, dumb girly necklace for stupid, dumb, girlies!' and Mom asked if that's how James from Pokemon acts lol

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments She's not wrong

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Actually the villain duo in LoliRock give me major Team Rocket vibes lol

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments What is Lolirock?

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments A French cartoon about magical girls from different planets reuniting on Earth and trying to defeat the one who destroyed their leader's planet several years ago.

So it's basically Sailor Moon but French lol

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I think it's a bit disappointing that sprite editing isn't as popular for other Japanese game series as they are for things like Persona and Danganronpa and Fire Emblem. Especially back in the day Diabolik Lovers was really low-budget and thus they couldn't give everything a sprite but I'd love for people to edit some of those outfits onto Yui, like Cordelia's dress from Laito's route or Kanato's uniform from his route. Or even her wedding dresses, they never got any sprites, just the pictures! Same for other games like Code;Realize. Cardia only has like three outfits or something. Give that girl some gorgeous, historically accurate sprites!

I just can't figure out what it is. Is it because those games have super detailed sprites? Is it because they're older? Is it because it's harder to find a compilation of sprites taken from the game in good quality?

If I knew how to sprite edit, I'd take it upon myself and just do it, I swear

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Dang I think I just found my new favourite Chihiro cosplayer. They look so freaking hot as Chihiro oh my gosh

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments My mom made cornbread and asked me if I wanted any because she'd give me the most if so since I'm literally the only person in the family that loves it majorly and when I answered my baby brother was like 'why the f**k is she so enthusiastic?!'

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Mondo: *kills Chihiro and leaves the body there*

Byakuya: "It's free real estate"

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments *reads a Chihiro fanfic from his POV*

Me: "This is either going to be ChihiroxMondo or feature a trans Chihiro, I can just tell by the set-up,"

*Tags recently added include 'trans female character' AND 'chihiroxmondo' 'it will be a slow burn though'*

Me: "This has been fun but I have to barf now,"

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments Seriously, why so much trans Chihiro? The game beats you over the head about Chihiro being a boy. That was his embarrassing secret, meant to be a motive for murder!!!!

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments According to people who headcanon it, it's because he spent most of his life passing himself off as a girl, which means he's trans to them. Except he's not?? And those people are often trans themselves so you'd think they'd have a better understanding of it.

Transgendered means you literally do not feel like the gender you are born as. I'm questioning my own gender currently and it actually kinda sucks. However, that is the key phrase there. It does NOT mean you are a crossdresser. It has nothing to do with passing off as another gender. Now, there are indeed documented cases of both men and women crossdressing for various reasons and the more time they spent pretending to be that gender, the more they experienced gender dysphoria and realized they were mentally the other gender. A lot of people who think Chihiro is trans believe that of him. That he started out as a boy, but since he spent years dressing and acting as a girl, he experienced that same dysphoria and believes he is a girl.

I suppose that could make sense, especially since you never get his POV on the issue in the actual game.

HOWEVER, I dislike the idea of Trans!Chihiro because it takes what is left of his character and knocks it into a back-alley. Making Chihiro trans absolutely ruins the brilliant commentary on both him and Mondo about toxic masculinity and how society expects men to look and act a certain way. Making him trans ruins that because it's such a cheap way of saying 'oh but he was a girl all along!!!! so he had no reason to be concerned!!!' Also that 'he makes a convincing girl' thing is stupid. I have watched gameplays of people playing blind and many of them suspect something is up with Chihiro because he acts very boyish and makes references to it, like 'is it really so strange for a girl to like programming?!' He doesn't live as a girl, he is just barely passing!

I know that was long, but every time I see Trans!Chihiro fanfics I just get a special kind of angry and have to drop whatever it is I'm currently doing just to complain about it.

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments It's honestly a shame since even though they're not a good writer, their portrayal of Chihiro's personality I quite like. I really like the idea of Chihiro putting on makeup and trying to look more feminine to pass off better as a girl and not raise suspicion. I bring it up many times in my fanfic of him. But the trans thing completely ruins it for me

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments I wonder how many people like that actually played the game. Chihiro told Mondo he was a BOY and that he dressed like that so people THOUGHT he was a girl and would leave him alone. But he felt brave enough to tell the truth about his gender and that's what lead to Mondo killing him. The being brave part, of course.

Aside from his looks and clothes he didn't seem girly at all. But i already knew the truth about him before I started playing so I guess it was obvious to me.

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments A lot of them have played the game but said it worked out that way because the writers were transphobic

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments Or because, like you said, they were addressing toxic masculinity and the abuse bullying victims suffer from

But transphobic is a better copout I guess

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Only good thing that comes out of it is now I have a new insult to yell at people who comment on my Trans!Nagisa fanfic saying he isn't trans, he just looks feminine and has a crazy mom

THE CREATOR OF ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM IS TRANSPHOBIC AND WOULDN'T GIVE TRANS!NAGISA THE STORY HE TRULY DESERVES

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments The thing that has hurt me the most is when I looked up tips on how to make your fanfics more popular, and I found out I was already doing exactly what they all suggested for me to do. Because if I was already doing everything right, then clearly the problem must be me, right?

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I saw someone who made children for all of the main ships I think from Fairy Tail and I'm a bit envious because I know Gray has a stripping habit and for his son the person explained that he didn't get the stripping habit but usually walks around shirtless and it makes me wish a fandom I'm in had a really weird character like that with an eccentric trait I could pass on in some form to their children because even though I watch a lot of anime with quirky characters I've never come across a character quite like that and I'm saddened by that lol

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments Well, the reason Gray strips is due to his rather specific magic training ((which oddly enough came from a woman)). So unless his son went through the same type of training it wouldn't make as much sense.

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I know that, I'm just saying I wish a character in a fandom I'm in was like that. It doesn't matter what the reason behind it is

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Imagine a YA romance novel where it's a little bit like Cinderella where a geek and a popular kid meet each other at a con, but they're both in cosplay and thus don't know what they really look like. Geek has to leave early and popular kid is determined to find them again because they liked their company, but geek was dressed in an outfit almost everyone cosplays as. Shenanigans ensue as the popular kid tries to find out who the geek was while the geek goes about their daily life unaware until they eventually meet again at the end of the book

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Geeky romance novels like that are becoming more popular for this generation but I don't think I've seen one yet that focuses mainly on cosplay like that

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments I'm not aware of them but I've been out of touch with reading since leaving school.

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Get your devil-words out of my journal lol

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I wanna play the new Five Nights at Freddy's game so badly but it's a VR game and we don't have a VR system! I'm actually a bit upset I spoiled the ending for myself because I just know that if I played it blindly that twist probably would've made me pass out from fright or something lol

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I started using a new teacher on the Internet to learn Japanese from. I'll admit I am quite hesitant about it because the way he's going about it is very...cautioned against in actual language-learning circles. But this guy can speak Japanese like he was born there. So am I wrong for wanting to follow through with the lessons despite my hesitance?

He said the lessons will be a bit grueling because it will be mainly self-taught practice with a few videos here and there as a supplement, but it also sounds like he helps out people like me who already have their foot in the door when it comes to the language. He had a similar backstory to me about why he became interested in the language and pop culture and it encourages me. I hope maybe his lessons can help me feel more confident about actuasly knowing the language, since whenever I translate things at the monent, I feel upset because 'oh it was just super easy stuff anyone could figure out'

I really hope he teaches me how to read it as well though, as due to my interest in literature and video games I'm more interested in learning how to read it than speak it. But I literally just started his lessons, so I'll just have to wait and see.

I have a strange feeling about this. Not a good feeling, not a bad feeling, more of a 'let's wait and see where this takes us' kind of feeling. However I still feel like I'm wrong for accepting these lessons. Should I?

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments Well, why do people in language-learning circles caution against him? His teaching methods?

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments They don't caution against him specifically, just against the way he's going to teach me Japanese. Because, he's going to teach me Japanese by telling me to..

...watch anime

That is highly cautioned against because the way Japanese is spoken in anime is often very stylized and over-exaggerated and people don't actually speak like that in Japan. I guess it's similar to our own cartoons. Imagine if someone tried to learn English by watching something like Danny Phantom. Do you think they'd learn a lot and sound fluid?

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments Yeah I can understand that

So why are you going through with it? I mean that's your choice but if you know it's a bad idea..

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Like I said, the dude speaks Japanese like he was born knowing the language. And besides, I'm just exploring my options. Nothing wrong with that, right? They're free videos. If I ever feel like I'm not learning anything, I can always cancel my subscription and go our separate ways

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments Wait they're free but there's a subscription? How does that work?

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments You give your email address

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments That doesn't make any sense but neither does quantum physics, so

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Actually, quantum mechanics forbids this

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments I'm watching someone review a published book originally from Wattpad and apparently at one point one of the characters refers to weed as 'the devil's lettuce' and I'm laughing so hard

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments Mom introduced me to The Stand and says if I write a Danganronpa version of it she will literally read it all start to finish and I'm going to do it just to get her to finally read a fanfic for once in her life, but I'm also intimidated because I'm going to have to write a bunch of super freaky sex scenes

Like there's one character who gets anally raped with a pistol, and another character who gets very sick with a stomach bug and when he tries to get medicine for it, he gets jumped by a psycho nurse who rapes him

I somehow feel like I've made a horrible mistake in agreeing to this lol

Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) (codenameagentmcmuffin) | 8243 comments 0-0 what the heck kind of show/movie is this?!

Elizabeth ♛Smart Girls Love Trashy Books♛ (pinkhairedwannabe) | 16707 comments It's a really long novel about how almost everyone in the world dies from the flu. The survivors are broken into two groups; good ones who try to rebuild society, and the bad ones, crazy people who are led by a demon to bring destruction to the world further. They meet in Las Vegas for a giant showdown. It's pretty much a basic 'survival in a post-apocalyptic world' sort of story and it's actually pretty grim and disturbing because the evil people do all sorts of horribly depraved things to please their 'master' and the good people are just trying to survive.

Mom said she thought it'd fit very well with Danganronpa and here we are lol
