Even just thinking about it now is making me crave it desperately and I don’t really eat those things anymore

I always try to stress that Jesus let a thief, an actual criminal into the Kingdom.
if he loves criminals I'm pretty sure LGBTs are no issue
more people need to realize that

I've actually been accused of not supporting the LGBT community just because I spend a majority of my time calling them out for hypocrisy. But I still respect the community and support them for many reasons including the obvious. I'm just so sick of finding someone who calls out hypocritical liberal ideals and getting invested in their ideas, thinking we share some thoughts, and then having to stop following them because they slam down the 'transgenders aren't real, f**k actual gay people, mental disorders are all an illusion, oh and screw women too they have rights so they can't whine'

Yes, but she wasn't around in my life as much as she was other people and I feel deeply saddened by that. She died when I was around thirteen I think

Also My Mom: “Ugh, people actually liked this?! It looks so boring and overdone! If I ever am forced to watch it I can assure you I’ll be in agony during most of it,”

As long as you believe in the Heart of the Cards you'll be okay!

Game Website: "Don't forget to make sure all your characters take time to eat, sleep, and use the bathroom! Seriously, it's bad for your entire party if you don't!"
Me: *slams money on table* "I WILL NOW BUY YOUR GAME"

What is it?

Literally a group I made :D I think you were part of it? Maybe? I can't remember...hmm...

What is it?"
Servamp

And Mom told me if I ever want to live in Mississippi I'm going to have to learn to deal with super hot temperatures like that and I told her Mississippi is different because it's supposed to be that hot, it's not supposed to be hot here lol

Anyway, going in I thought it was going to be just a shot-by-shot remake of the first arc. Which I would've been fine with, but I've already seen Bleach: The Rock Musical and wanted something different. Thankfully, that's not what this movie's about. It does a good retelling of the first arc in a way that both pays homage and breathes new life into the series. It truly felt like it belonged in the Bleach canon alongside the actual manga and anime
The Hollows had a really great voice, they all looked creepy. I really liked how they changed the plot from Ichigo learning how to become a Soul Reaper into 'hey kill Grand Fisher otherwise Rukia kills you' and focused on Ichigo and Rukia training to get stronger. The fight with Grand Fisher was amazing, way better than how I remember it being in the anime. I even like the fight between Ichigo and Renji. The actors would good. The soundtrack was amazing.
I do kinda have qualms with some of the character designs. I understand it's live-action and thus things have to be more toned down, but wigs!! WIGS ARE A THING! In Bleach: The Rock Musical, the actors all wore wigs so they resembled the characters. It's so bizarre to see Orihime with not even brown hair but black hair. It's the thing she's known for. It seems wrong to see Masaki without her vibrant hair. And I didn't like how they gave Rukia really long hair. She doesn't get that until the very end of the manga. The actor they picked for Chad looked the part, but his acting was pretty stiff. Renji looked really feminine for some reason, and the actor playing Byakuya still wore his modern earrings while in costume. I don't recall Byakuya ever having pierced ears? Also, Karin and Yuzu were basically the same character. They dressed and acted exactly the same. In the series, Karin is a rough-and-tumble tomboy while Yuzu is a very sweet, caring, motherly girly-girl. They go to visit their mother's grave in the movie and Karin is wearing a flouncy dress. She'd never wear that in the anime! The only way you could tell them apart was Karin had a baseball cap and Yuzu had a flowery pink hat. Other than that, they wore the same girly dresses.
The guy who played Keigo though was freaking fantastic. Ishida's actor was great too. I loved his moment with Renji and how he helped Ichigo fight Grand Fisher unlike in the series. I also liked Ichigo telling Chad to protect the regular citizens as he fought, and Orihime going over to Chad and saying: "It's Kurosaki-kun, isn't it? You can feel him too....I know it's him," It seemed very reminiscent of the anime. So did the ending, with Rukia taking her powers and memories back from Ichigo with him saying: "I was protected by someone again, Mother. Even at the very end,"
AND THE SOUL SOCIETY'S DESIGN
You only see it for a second but wow I really want to see more! I love the dark, dank, almost hopeless vibe it has, with the numbers of the thirteen squads stretching high above the city like skyscrapers. I could stare at that shot of the nighttime, desolate Soul Society all day. It fits the location in a strange way, especially at that point in time before we learned about the Soul Reapers
Basically, it was really really good! Way better than I expected it to be. I can see why it peaked the box office rates in Japan and got nominated several times. It deserves all of its awards if it won any. I am desperately hoping they make a sequel of it, I am dying to see the live-action interpretations of the other Soul Reapers! Like Momo and Yumichika! Heck, I want it to adapt all the arcs! It was that good!

But then I remembered demigods aren’t really a thing in Japanese mythology because a lot of the gods and goddesses either don’t really communicate with humans all that much or think they’re above them and thus don’t want to be around them. A few had children but only with each other. Plus a few don’t even look like people, like Raijin is literally just a giant dragon
The closest example are various legends and sometimes real people too are often believed to be the child of a Yōkai if they can do extraordinary things, usually the child of a Kitsune since they were just that common. And there’s lots of legends of humans getting married to Yōkai and having whole generations of families with them, sometimes unaware. Although many Yōkai like Kitsune or nekomata or Tengu were historically and even now portrayed as being very violent and dangerous. Like nekomata were infamous for allegedly tormenting people by raising skeletons from the ground and forcing the dead to dance and do their bidding. That’s why they like the full moon. Or how kappa want to butt-rape you to forcefully expel your soul from your body. Because the Japanese believe your soul is located in your anus for some reason. It just doesn’t really seem like a series that would catch on for children
But I still kinda like the idea of them being the children of these dangerous and scary creatures. Their ‘camp’ could be a secluded temple in the mountains somewhere and they’re basically taught how to communicate with each other better, work together, and be respectful to humans and the world around them. The MC could have a father who is a creature typically associated with being female just so characters can look at her family portrait and comment on it and have her be all like ‘my dad is the Kitsune, not my mom!!!’ ETC They could wear old-fashioned kimono and clean the shrine and help cook and train. Their teachers could be the Seven Lucky Gods as well as a powerful human exorcist who knows of their world and basically keeps them in line
And it could be interesting to show more traditional interpretations of more well-known Yōkai as well as more lesser-known creatures
But I don’t know. As I said there’s only so many things you can do with everyone being the child of a disagreeable, evil creature. But at the same time, even if the story isn’t that good, the mythology could be solid and teach people new things

He flat out said he won't be doing mythologies he doesn't know for that exact reason: he would botch them. Instead, RRP is to help people who DO know the myths get their books published.
I have a Hindu and Mayan book that were published with help from the program.
