Someone else also said something that I’m pretty sure was intended to be offensive to non-Christians and they should be glad their message was hard to understand because otherwise I would’ve gone off on them lol Like normally I would just ignore them, but saying such a thing at a time like that in response to a really bad natural disaster is pretty freaking tasteless no matter who you are in my opinion, and shame on you for trying to say the situation was somehow ‘their fault’

I signed up to be notified when the library gets new materials and is it normal for libraries to get new materials on a daily basis? Since I get those alerts nearly every day
If it's not normal than my library isn't normal either. But it's not like every day every day. Libraries usually do a big buy periodically (like once a month or smt) and then it takes a while for it to go through the process. So there's almost always new books coming to the shelves

Yeah, I think that's pretty normal. And like, we're on a buying ban right now, but they have 8 boxes and 8 bags full of books that will take them the whole summer to put out. So it's like we never stopped!

That is unfortunately normal. And it could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on why. For instance, some libraries will enter in everything that's donated to them as long as it's in decent condition, or will buy whatever someone requests no matter how obscure. Or they just have the money and space to waste on something one random person wants.

No doubtIt's supercell thunderstorms that spawn tornadoes after all. I mean MAYBE they can form without a supercell but I've never heard of that.
Sometimes they can form from regular clouds especially if they’re water-spouts but it’s very rare
And water spouts are usually way weaker. I mean, they're still dangerous but not nearly as fast or dangerous as tornadoes. The fact they're over...water makes them less likely to cause damage too.

We get alerts for cold-air funnels sometimes here in the summer. We got one two summers ago and two alerts last summer

I finally saw Aladdin! The movie I’ve wanted to see ever since it was first announced!
How was it?
Really really good. I have no idea what all of the reviews are going on about. Even my mom agreed and the original is one of her favourite Disney movies. It was everything I had wanted it to be. It was definitely the best of these remakes so far by a long shot
