Looks like I'm going to the library today
My mom is making me read some old roleplays of hers featuring albino vampire twins who were locked in their old mansion for centuries and have to re-learn how to function in society and I can tell she's super annoyed because I don't think they're very attractive when she created them for the sole purpose of being attractive to me lol
I liked the girl a lot, she put cookies on top of her head and ran around screaming ‘I’M AN ALIEN BEEP BOOP BEEP BOOP’
I was supposed to go to the library today but for some reason I just feel so drained, so I guess I’ll just stay at home and go to bed

I find transgender people amazing in both appearance and personality.
I went to bed early and then I woke up and found out our car got fixed so Mom went out and got food for everyone except me because I was asleep? She never once thought to herself that I’d be hungry when I woke up? And she tried to tell me she's going shopping today so it doesn’t matter. Oh yes, you’re going shopping alright, shopping at like one in the afternoon while I sit and suffer for a very long time from hunger because your negligent self couldn’t spare a single thought for your only daughter
I showed my mom some RPs I did in a group I'm in on this site because she showed me some of hers and she absolutely massacred this one I did with someone with a vampire couple and I'm both offended and entertained by what she said lol

Pretty much 'oh god give them personalities please!!!!' Lol She said the style of RP seemed very amateur-ish because we just did the same thing over and over again and the personalities weren't apparent in the RP at all. She said to be fair, it's probably a lot of fun to RP like that, but it's boring to simply read it because it was mainly a lot of back-and-forth conversation and repetition

I'm annoyed that this group keeps threatening to kick out inactive members every so often and I finally decided to become active in the group just so I wouldn't get kicked, and then I'm hardly acknowledged by anyone. I know it's a large group and a lot of times people can slip under the radar, but it's just infuriating that they're always pushing for activity then ignore active members. I would leave the group but that won't teach them anything

Honestly maybe I should just leave that group and try to find another one, but I also don’t really want to because they’re actually a very mature and polite group which is rare for anime communities nowadays I hear. But I don’t really like how the focus is on stuff just coming out. I have no problem with newer shows, obviously, but it’s really hard for me to keep up and I also don’t want to watch something just so I can have a conversation with someone. A lot of anime I’m halfway through were new when I started watching them but then I got caught up in other stuff and never finished like The Royal Tutor or Bloodivores or Modern Magic Made Easy. The only anime they’re watching that I also am is Fruits Basket. Some of the new stuff does look good, but I can’t stick to a schedule like that. So I’m not really sure what I want to do.
That sounds frustrating.I can't keep up either. i'm watching these older anime friends suggest, then these other random anime i found on my own AND some new stuff and I'm screaming internally.
I need a group where we talk about a mix of both old and new stuff not just the new stuff coming out
My mom finally made me watch Violet Evergarden and I’m a bit sad I didn’t hold off on it for longer because something about the show genuinely makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable but Mom doesn’t want to hear it because she’s like ‘it’s not like I’m making you watch something with an explicit rape scene or something!’ I actually wanted to watch this anime way before she had heard of it, but she beat me to it and the way she talks about the show as well as the show itself gives me a very uneasy feeling that I can’t place
Well looks like my mom is upset with me because she’s upset about all of the times I keep promising to watch anime with her and then either changing my mind or complaining about what we have to watch. As if she doesn’t change her mind on me all of the time Besides my problem is that she keeps making me start all of these new anime and I am really not in the mood to start anything new until I finish something. Same goes for anything she wants to show me, but she has absolutely no respect for that. She’s even like ‘I don’t wanna finish anything we’ve started because they’re all boring to me now, I want to watch something new’ Well I am bored of starting things endlessly and never finishing them
We’re already in an argument about me not allowed to use the TV even though I can’t watch my anime on the computer and I’m so sick of her dumbass ‘watch it on funimation’ retort. She knows damn well why I can’t
She’ll probably forget about our argument after a while and ask me to watch anime with her again but I’ll still be upset. I’ve been upset about this for a while now

And it looks like they're making a Violet Evergarden movie. Mom will be happy at least. Though I do really have to wonder what's with all of these anime getting theatrical movies all of a sudden. I know anime have gotten movies in the past, but so much more are coming out every single year now for the past few years it's hard to keep track. In these past two years alone, we've gotten the My Hero Academia movie, the Bungo Stray Dogs movie, the Black Butler movie, the Steins;Gate movie, the Servamp movie, The Royal Tutor movie, I think there was a Yu-Gi-Oh or Digimon or something like that movie too It's really interesting at least to me. I can understand making movies out of animes that are currently really huge and successful, but some of those didn't really take off at least here in America. Is there some sort of popularity divide between us and Japan? Are producers taking a chance on lesser-popular shows in the hopes a movie will make them popular, or give them even more attention if they're already popular? Or are producers just throwing money at literally anything that sounds like it has potential?
Obviously I'm not hating on the movies, I like the anime movies I've actually seen. I just find it really interesting that this is becoming more and more of a trend.
I also find it interesting how a lot of those movies are actual canon stories from their respective source materials. It again makes me wonder if there's something going on behind the scenes of these movies and the creators are worried about getting their story out, so they turn it into a movie so more people will have access to it or something
Yugioh has had three or four movies in the past. I dont know their canon status, especially since one was a crossover with a protagonist from long after the original characters died
I know, and I even acknowledged that. It's not uncommon for anime franchises to get movies if they're popular enough. Things like Bleach and Sailor Moon had several movies over their course as well. My point was that this seems to be far more frequent and they're making movies for things that don't seem to be very popular at least here in the U.S.

My mom said The Quintessential Quintuplets looked like something I'd love because she only saw the picture and thought it was about quintuplet princesses living their life like in Castle Town Dandelion lol

I beat all of the boss fights in Shadowverse for the first story except for Portalcraft to fulfill an objective but I don't see the objective being cleared anywhere? The game still says it's locked even though I completed what I was supposed to do. It says to beat all seven boss fights because it was made before Portalcraft was added into the game. So I'm really confused? The only thing I can do is try beating Portalcraft's boss fight. Maybe they just didn't update the objective and that's the reason it says I'm not done
My mom asked if I wanted to be a voice actress myself and I told her that it’s actually something I’ve been considering as a possible career option for a while now and she said I should look into it further since she thinks I’d have fun with a job like that She then said I could make a name for myself by playing crazy little boys who cry and scream and whine and demand candy lol

What character?
One of my favourite characters in Fruits Basket. I got excited at first because he’s half-German and they remembered he spoke German. The old anime cut that out. But then I remembered it’s FUNimation and he’ll likely have a stereotypical German accent even though he’s lived in Japan all of his life and thus it wouldn’t make sense for him to sound like that
If his German lineage parent did and has an accent it'd make sense
Even if he lived his entire life in Japan? I don’t remember the manga ever saying he had an accent so I think it’s fair to assume he doesn’t. Especially since he hasn’t lived with his parents for a long time. But when has FUNimation ever cared about canon material am I right?
My mom got a new water bottle for me because my last one was ummmm very dirty and she thought a newer one would help me vomit less since it can’t be very sanitary to constantly drink from a dirty water bottle

I know, but it just seems....wrong somehow to give a foreigner an accent when they’re plainly stated to not have one. They did it with Black Butler where they gave an Indian character a stereotypical Indian accent even though it’s said numerous times in the manga he speaks perfect English with no accent. I actually think the Black Butler dub is fine in terms of actual voices and whatnot, but doesn’t it seem wrong to give an Indian character a super stereotypical accent when they don’t have one in the manga? Or the original Japanese if you wanna go that route
Mom said I should be happy that Onmyōji got an anime because it means she was right when she said it likely had one but I told her that when I said I wanted an anime made of it, I wanted a grand and epic one that followed the plot of the game with gorgeous traditional music and visuals, not three-minute long episodic vignettes about the characters trying to live their lives
I hate it when a fanfic you want to read has your NOTP front and center but every other ship is either a rare pair of yours or something that extremely intrigues you so you’re stuck with the delimma or deciding whether reading it in spite of the NOTP is worth it or not

Day 103 of Trying to Play Onmyoji: The game was trying to update again on Steam and it seemed like it was actually going to work this time because the last few times it didn't even load up if I remember correctly. It made it halfway through the updating process and then promptly froze up, crashed, and closed itself
