I'm worried the new game I'm currently addicted to, Helix Waltz, will just die like those other games. It's a mobile game too, like a few of those games were and that just seems to be the final kiss of death. I wish I could figure out why those games keep dying. It can't be the cost, as two of those games were Japanese and one was Korean, good nations for games. It surely can't be from lack of interest, as all of those games were some of the most downloaded/played/highest rated in their short life. Perhaps it's an issue of not having enough translators? But that can't be it, as when the English version disappears, the original version goes as well. I just don't know and it frustrates me and saddens me both.
I'm working on a new fanfic and of course I got one of those stupid comments on it, and I'm annoyed because I spent my whole entire morning thinking about it when I should've just let it go. So I guess that person's wish was fulfilled. They basically asked why the names of the characters' children weren't the same as they were in a side story the author wrote where the main character goes into the future to defeat an enemy and meets his future children. I explained that the author said that story was just something he wrote for fun and wasn't canon to the series. And even if it was, it's still a fanfic, and mine at that. I can do whatever I want. Tons of people have done similar things in the past because they're just fanfics.
They also demanded to know why two certain characters got married and their tone suggested they thought that was the most appalling fact about the whole fanfic. They seemed like they had no idea why the girl would 'lower' herself to do such a thing as marrying that guy. I again reminded them that this was my fanfic and that was a favourite ship of mine that I shipped.
Seriously, this is like the second or third time I've had to deal with people like this. Why me? There are other people in this fandom who write similar ideas as what I wrote with different names for the kids and they haven't gotten called out on it. They are called fanfics for a reason. And there are far worse canon-breaking fanfics out there than just mine.
I've been annoyed over that stupid comment all morning and the fact that I'm annoyed just makes me even more annoyed. I'm actually not that angry over them talking about the side story, I understand that. I'm more upset that they're reading something that I wrote and had the audacity to complain about one of my ships. You'd think I'd be used to that by now, but I guess I'm not.
Since that person dislikes that ship so much, I'm going to spend the rest of that fanfic having the daughter of those two constantly mention how much she loves her parents and how cute they are together and make her parents go out on adorable little dates and have cute moment together. That is all thanks to that person :D
My mom compared my favourite shipping trope to those people who have a rape fetish and I told her I don't think that's a very good comparison at all lol

I told her I like the trope of the shy, awkward, and geeky weak boy with the dominant, bitchy, princess-y and confident girl and how it makes me feel strange and bad since I like it when the girl is really overbearing and dominate towards the boy and even doing stuff such as trying to seduce or manipulate him, but I know it’s wrong and if it was genderswapped I would hate it and consider it sexist and everything, but it’s still pretty sexist and wrong with the strong girl/weak boy anyway, and Mom said it’s okay if it feels wrong since lots of people fantasize about things they know are wrong, like those with rape fetishes and I told her I don’t think my example is that drastic.
It's not sexist in either situation IMO. Nor is it rape if you ask me.
I can't say for 100% sure but I think I'd find a girl like that hot tbh.

Title/Summary: Meet the Parents; Chihiro and Celestia have been a pretty serious item for almost a year now and Chihiro suggests they meet each other’s families. Celestia can’t even begin to hide her disdain towards the idea, but it’s not like she can just lie her way out of this one.
Notes: OTP!!!!
“You don’t need to get all dressed up,” Was what he insisted to her several times in a row for the past week. Clearly, he knew her better than she knew herself and figured she would show up to his house in a full-out evening gown. But why was that so wrong? Excuse her for wanting to make a good impression on his parents.
So she eventually decided on wearing a lacy black cocktail dress that was sleeveless and tanned out into a sheer tutu; black wedges with white bows pulling back her extensions. She still wore her usual earrings and rings, but decided on a simple black choker for this occasion. After gazing at herself in the mirror for a while longer, she steeped outside and got a taxi, telling the driver to let her off a few blocks away so at the very least she didn’t die from embarrassment.
“You’re here! I was afraid you’d be late,” Chihiro greeted her politely once she reached the front door, ringing the bell. He himself looked quite spiffy in a light green sweater vest with a white dress shirt and khakis. He even smelled heavily of mouthwash, which was a great change from his usual stench of pizza and lingering body odor.
“I do not think I have been late for anything ever in my life,” She replies boredly, walking inside the house. She tightly gripped her black clutch. “Let us get this over with,”
“They’ve already sat down for dinner,” Chihiro nodded in agreement, blushing as he looked her over. She stared back at him as she followed him to the dining room. The house hadn’t impressed her at all yet. Just a bunch of mismatched, bright colours along with the maddening hum of too many electronics turned on at once.
“Mama, Papa, this is...my girlfriend...Celestia Ludenberg,” Chihiro introduced shyly, motioning her into the dining room. She briefly bowed from politeness and took her seat next to Chihiro, already starting to size up the other members at the table.
“Who knew our son could get a girl as pretty as you?” A woman with a long blonde ponytail and silver glasses mused as she started to serve the various dishes. “I’m kidding, you know. I figured my son had it in him. I’m his mother, Rika,”
“I assumed,” Celestia stared down at the food she was served. Hamburger steak and salad....at least it wasn’t too awful.
“I’m Taichi. Nice to meet you!” A man who had an uncanny resemblance to Chihiro aside from the glasses beamed at her; she subtly rolled her eyes when he looked away. The last member at the table was a big-busted girl with blonde-pink hair, dressed just as elegantly as the rest of her family. She had her focus set specifically on her pink gaming system and didn’t seem to notice the current conversation at all.
“My older cousin, Chiaki-chan,” Chihiro whispered to Celestia, beginning to eat his food.
“Now, we don’t want you to feel intimadated in our house. We wanted everything to be just perfect for you tonight,” Rika started to explain as she ate. Celestia nodded slowly, twirling her fork around in her salad. That explained the food and the outfits, at least.
“Sweetie,” Taichi gently nudged Chiaki’s arm, making her glance up in surprise and look around the table. She then set down her system and began to eat slowly. “Normally, we are a very pro-electronic household, even at the table. But we’re entertaining tonight,” He continued, smiling.
“Yeah! I can text while I eat a lot!” Chihiro added, nodding.
“Why did you get accepted into Hope’s Peak, dear? And do you have any other hobbies?” Rika addressed Celestia.
“I am the Ultimate Gambler. I do believe that speaks for itself. As for other hobbies....I enjoy partaking in reading, fashion, and sewing,” Celestia replied, taking a sip of her milk. She was a bit miffed that only the parents got wine, it seemed.
“Such a well-rounded young lady!” Taichi laughed.
“How did you two meet?” Rika pressed, which made Celestia pause in her cutting and look over at Chihiro. He proudly boasted to her almost constantly about how he could tell his parents anything and everything concerning his life, yet he never actually told them how he met his first and only girlfriend? Or did they simply want to hear it again from her own perspective? Even Chiaki had stopped eating for a minute and stared at her eagerly with her big eyes.
Celestia finally set down her silverware. Classical music was playing quietly from somewhere. It was definitely Chopin. “To be entirely honest, for a long time our paths never once crossed. I never really wanted anything to do with him. We have gym class together though. One of our male classmates was bothering me one particular day and when I persistently ignored him, he yanked on my jacket too hard and ripped the fabric, exposing me. Nobody else said or did anything, they just stood and stared. Then Chihiro-kun arrived and tossed me his own jacket. At the time, I believed him to be a girl and merely ignored him. He would not leave my mind though; I invited him to eat lunch with me a few weeks later as a result. And we continued from there,” She picked up her silverware again and started to eat again.
Chihiro nodded in confirmation, smiling at his parents.
“Ah, so the little white knight saved his princess, hm?” Rika teased, making Chihiro blush heavily.
“It’s just like something out of a video game!” Chiaki announced, speaking her first words of that night.
“Mama!” Chihiro blushed further as his family laughed, assuring him they were just teasing.
“I met my wife in a very similar way. Who knows....maybe you two will last for a while too,” Taichi suggested, making just the slightest blush appear on Celestia’s face.
“Perhaps.” Was all that she said as she resumed her meal once more.

“Just wear whatever you want,” Celestia snarled at him in the hallway a few days ago when he anxiously asked what he should wear to meet her parents. The whole idea left him incredibly on-edge, and Celestia seemed even more stressed-out by the idea than him. And he found he couldn’t blame her. They had been dating for nearly a year and yet he couldn’t recall her ever talking about her parents or home life once. Did she even live with anyone?
He supposed he would find out soon enough.
With no specific dress code, he put on a simple white baggy sweater with equally baggy jeans and black sneakers, his blue backpack by his side. Celestia had ordered him to meet her at the public bookstore, and he did so; they walked for quite a while before reaching a claustrophobic neighborhood with near-identical houses.
“You live here...?” Chihiro asked nervously.
“Yeah. Is there somethin’ wrong with that?” She asked, all traces of an accent gone. She wore no hair extensions, instead pulling her black bangs back with a purple headband that matched her sparkly sweatshirt, purple sneakers, and black leggings. Luckily her sweatshirt went down to her knees.
“No...” Chihiro sighed as she unlocked one of the doors and tossed the key onto the coffee table; the room inside was dark, cramped, and deemed of cheap pizza and perfume. He nearly sneezed.
“Our little star! Did you come home with your boyfriend? We’re very excited to meet him,” A man who Chihiro assumed to be her dad hurried into the living room, turning on a few lights and flooding them with light. Celestia clicked her tongue in annoyance and wandered into the kitchen, ignoring the cheerful greeting of her heavily-pregnant mother as she eyed the pizza boxes on the dining room table. She then shot a glare at her parents.
“Pizza? I told you today was a special event. My boyfriend was coming over for dinner, and the best you can do is fucking pizza?” She complained loudly.
“But we splurged!” Her dad protested.
“Plus, your boyfriend will likely enjoy it. He’s not one for fine dining,” Her mom tried to reassure her even as Celestia flipped her off.
“This must be him! Welcome to our humble abode!” Mr. Yasuhiro laughed nervously, offering a hand for Chihiro to shake that he anxiously took. Already he felt extremely unwelcome and tense.
“I’ll put something on the TV for us to all watch while we eat,” Mrs. Yasuhiro eagerly clasped her hands together.
“You never told me your mother was pregnant!” Chihiro whispered to Celestia as they got out the slices they wanted. Celestia clicked her tongue in annoyance again.
“Twins. Isn’t that fucking disgusting? They can’t even afford to have one and now they’re going to have two,” She angrily slammed the lid of the pizza box shut and joined her parents in the living room. Her parents remained sitting on the couch while Celestia and Chihiro sat down in front of the TV, plates on their laps.
“How did you two meet? Our daughter never told us,” Mr. Yasuhiro questioned Chihiro, who took a moment to think about it. Somehow that didn’t surprise him at all. He had only been at her house for a few minutes and could already tell Celestia venomously disliked her parents. He wasn’t sure why and figured he would never know, but it was pretty clear to him that they didn’t have an incredibly close relationship.
“We’re both in gym together and one day were given a free period to do anything we wanted as long as it was related to gym. I was practicing my hitting skills with some of my upperclassmen when I heard Celestia-chan starting to grow agitated for some reason. I ran over and saw one of our classmates had torn off her jacket and had left her there, exposed. I didn’t know if they did on purpose or on accident..but either way she didn’t look very happy at all! So, I handed her my jacket. One thing led to another...” Chihiro blushed heavily. He finished his story and his food at the same time as her parents beamed happily at him.
“I hope our daughter is the one for you! You’re adorable together!” Mrs. Yasuhiro smiled.
“Yes. Plus our daughter can be quite nice when she wants to be,” Mr. Yasuhiro quickly added.
“Shut the fuck up, Dad,” Celestia flipped him off as she kept her focus on the television screen. Chihiro nervously wrung his hands together. The Celestia from school seemed so above a life like this one....he heard the neighbors on one side trying to soothe loudly screaming kids and the neighbors on the other side playing loud music. He glanced over anxiously at Celestia. No wonder she kept this side of herself a secret. What else was she hiding...? Would he ever know...?

Since ships like that can get abusive really quick but I like the strong girl/weak boy dynamic in a ship but always call out the genderswapped version for being abusive if it is, but if the strong girl/weak boy ship is the one being abusive then I usually tend to defend it.
And I never said it was rape. Mom was using an example to better compare my current situation.
The way I see it, call out both or neither *Shrugs* and even if it is that doesn't mean you condone it. I like lots of things I would be horrified at if it actually happened. That's just my two sense on the matter.I like both. Or..maybe I would. I haven't..experienced (?) enough to really get a feel i guess.

Title/Summary: My Hero; Yoichi manages to save Shinoa from a low-leveled, hungry vampire. Of course, being the noble that she is, she is eternally grateful and ready to do whatever it is he wants as a reward.
Notes: OTP! I really wish something like this would happen in the actual series!
This was it. She was going to die. And did in such a stupidly easy way too. She used up all of her energy on the nobles and completely forgot that they tended to have lower-leveled henchmen hidden in the shadows, ready to take down anybody in the group who wasted all of their energy.
And that just happened to be her today. She was currently pinned down to the ground, feeling the vampire’s eyes trail hungrily up and down her body, hungry not for flesh but for blood. She had enough energy to glance up to see the rest of her team still fighting, seemingly unaware of the danger she was in. It hurt, but it was also protocol. Vampires were far too dangerous and powerful to waste a team’s resources and energy on just one fallen member. They were doing the right thing by ignoring her, leader or not. She just wished her death was going to be something more dignified and deserving of her status than this.
“Get away!” A familiar voice called out just as she closed her eyes, preparing for that bite that never came. Instead, the vampire was pushed back into a destroyed building with an emerald arrow that pierced it right in the heart, dissolving it into ash and nothingness.
Shinoa slowly rolled over onto her back, blinking curiously. Only one person in her team had arrows....why did they allow a teammate to come back for her? Did the other vampires run off? They must’ve, as Shinoa was unable to hear them anymore. She took a deep breath, still feeling the aderaline spike from her earlier predicament.
“Are you okay?” Yoichi asked curiously, running over to her. He was still holding onto his bow, indicating that he was indeed the one to come to her rescue. She blushed lightly as he held out a hand to her.
“Of course!” She smirked, taking his hand and gently helping herself up. “I wasn’t scared of that vampire at all! I had faith you would save me!”
Yoichi blushed, laughing awkwardly. “I didn’t think I’d make the shot...but you’re our leader. I couldn’t just leave you to die. I had to do something,”
“And I thank you!” Shinoa continued to smile her trademark smirk at him. “In fact....I think I’d like to give you a reward!”
“A-A reward?!” He blushed even more at the idea, no doubt perverted ideas filling his head. She chuckled. Boys would be boys.
“Yeah, silly, a reward! For saving me! I’m like a princess, you know! I can give you whatever you want!” She flipped her hair at him dismissively.
“Anything that I-I want...?” He continued, walking after her.
“Yup! No pressure!~ In fact...I could just give you a sneak preview right now!” She quickly spun around and planted a kiss right on his lips, making his whole face turn dark red in embarrassment. She pulled away, satisfied and smirking.
“The princess thanks you for your valiant and noble effort, o brave knight!” She laughed, running away to join the rest of the squad. “I can give you the full version tonight!” She yelled back at Yoichi once she caught him stalling, which in turn made him blush heavily again and race to catch up with the rest of the group.

But I still feel bad since they can get awfully abusive especially in a subtle way and I hate how I’m perfectly fine with and encourage it even in my ships but hate it when it’s genderswapped and fall it out.
Like, even strong guy/weak girl doesn’t sound like it could possibly be a healthy relationship, can it?
We started to have this conversation by the way because I brought up a ship I liked in this one video game that is practically a textbook version of strong girl/weak boy and Mom asked me if I would’ve liked this really awful webcomic about BDSM more if it was about a strong, bitchy girl dominanting a weak and girly vampire boy and I said I actually would, then felt bad about it because the comic’s story itself is actually quite abusive.But I was thinking more along the lines of...I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dominate, bitchy girl order a weak and girly vampire boy around and punish him with BDSM. That is why I was interested simply because I don’t think I’ve ever seen that dynamic done before.
If something isnt a cultural norm it's often viewed as odd and different. I suppose that's the case here.I've seen things like that before but strong guy weak girl is no doubt stronger.
As long as it's just fiction nothing wrong with liking either. This is no different than liking fictional stories of war or murder mysteries. They're fiction so enjoy it.
I never really said I was wrong for liking it, I just said that a lot of times I feel like a hypocrite for not calling out ships like that if they're abusive.

Mom said I might be sick because of how much I've been sneezing and my current appearance. I told her I'm pretty sure it's just allergies because I usually tend to get super bad ones around this time of year, and the weather certainly doesn't help. She said she's pretty sure it's an illness. I guess we'll see who's right in a few days.

The fact a girl can't get pregnant with herself is something that haunts me and keeps me up at night
I was telling Mom about this one game I'm playing where at first I thought you could date a princess but it turns out you can only date commoner women, and at first she was totally on my side but when I brought the issue up again, she instead said that was really realistic because most girls just aren't lesbians in real life and how princesses tended to not be lesbians and even if they were they had to get married to men while commoner women were able to love whoever they wanted, albeit more secretly. And I told her I just thought it was a bit unfair how the game gives us a gay nobleman we can't even romance but the game doesn't give as at least one lesbian princess when there have reportedly been a few in actual history, such as Queen Kristina of Sweden or Marie-Antoinette
Someone came to our door to ask us a question and they smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that the whole living room smells like that now even though they didn't come in. I hope it fades soon, I don't want Mom asking me again if I smoke
Blech. Cigarette smell is disgusting. I don't know how anyone can stand it.
Almost everyone in my family aside from my parents smoked in at least some part of their lives, so I'm used to it and even somewhat comforted by it, oddly enough. I just don't want it in this house because I don't want Mom to assume I've been smoking
OhI have relatives that used to or still smoke. I never liked the smell.
Mom said my Christmas present this year will be a drawing of whatever I want. You know, like how she promised she'd draw me something for Halloween....and my birthday...and all of the other times over the past few years she promised she'd draw me something and never did. And this isn't her being too busy or unmotivated because she's almost always drawing her own stuff.

Of course I have. And she just says something like 'oh I'll get to it eventually' but obviously she never does. She hasn't 'gotten to it eventually' since we did that stupid art-swap back in like 2015 or whatever.

No. It's kinda hard to describe but it's super echoy and sounds like the sound is coming from behind me. And the volume is busted; it's either too quiet for me to properly hear or blasts out my eardrums. And it's not even turned down or turned up to extreme levels, it's at a normal sound for volume. I actually had to turn it down fairly low because of how loud it was.
Lol my ex seems to think that just because we talked on my birthday that that gives him a free pass to just chat me up where-ever whenever
The people who were supposed to work on our Internet tomorrow never came so now I'm going to have to deal with that today But it's not like I need to announce this to anyone. I'm not even going to be missed. I doubt anyone will even notice me gone

Someone praised the creativity of fanfics in this one fandom and I just know they're not referring to mine because I can see who reads mine and their name never shows up lol That must be why they think the fandom is super creative because they haven't been exposed to my stuff yet
I thought the technicians had shown up early and I got excited simply because that meant they would be done earlier, but nope it's just the neighbors fighting again
The new Nutcracker movie makes me really annoyed because it has literally EVERYTHING it needs to make it a perfect Nutcracker movie in my mind but then I remember a major plot point is trying to stop this revolution in the Gingerbread Kingdom and I always sigh to myself and try to move on but then I remember literally everything else looks perfect and it's tearing me apart on the inside because I just don't know if I'll like this movie or not because they were literally this close to making a perfect Nutcracker movie and then they had to go and make it about a stupid war in the GINGERBREAD KINGDOM like why gingerbread first of all
I'm going to the movie theater on Wednesday! I'm so excited! I haven't gone since last year!

I understand how demanding it is to be an indie game company. But sometimes I wonder if these companies bite off far more than they can chew with games like these. It's also kinda disrespectful to all of the players who had supported you since day one and spent countless hours and dollars in the game.
