He didn't want to drive me because he thought my own fucking graduation was fucking pointless.
I think I cried that night or something, I don't remember. But I did want to cry the next day at school when everyone asked me why I wasn't there. I wanted to cry when I found out we all had cake that night and I got two slices since there was a bunch left. I wanted to cry when I had to go to the office to get my official paper saying I had graduated.
And my brothers get to do something I wasn't able to and they don't even care.
I'm probably being selfish about this but that was the first time I ever had a graduation because I didn't have one for Kindergarten or sixth grade. And I couldn't even go because of my stupid dad. So basically the only graduation I've ever experienced was my high-school one.
And I bet Dad would've refused to drive me to that one too if he still lived with us.

Like, I would be absolutely heartbroken if I found out people did things like that to me, no matter how much money I made.

They think she's a bad author. Which you know what, opinions are opinions, they're entitled to them, but they shouldn't be calling her names, especially food puns because that seems really offensive to someone who's overweight. They shouldn't be doing anything like that. THAT is what I have a problem with.

*Nods* I understood that, I just wasn't sure if it was because of a political agenda or she did something controversial or what.
Very rarely do you see people who make stories criticized for being a poor storyteller anymore.

Seeing all of these numbers makes me really fearful for this year's season. What if we have something even worse? I know people say it can't possibly get any worse, but it can. I mean, they said the same thing about Hurricane Camille in 1965. It couldn't get any worse. and then Hurricane Katrina happened.

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... That's Europe my newest character

I wanna see now :D

One of my favourites was someone posting a picture of a sign outside a bookstore in Germany. Basically Germany held minor elections and one of the people was a really bigoted candidate who wanted to get rid of immigrants and things like that. The sign said: "Did you vote for him? Then you can't buy your books here. Oh, do you feel discriminated? Good, now you know how it feels."
Wish we could put signs like that here in America but I feel like it would just make the problem worse.

Yeah, You-Know-Who would throw a hissy fit on Twitter and say that they shouldn't belong in this country and are traitors...wait...he already did that with the NFL kneeling!

I think...you missed my point just a little bit....

It took the others a while to return from the pool and they didn't come back until there was only an hour left before the club closed for the day. I asked my brothers what had happened and they told me the lifeguards made everyone hide in the bathrooms.
I remember that obviously but I think it was just a really huge wind threat. If we had a tornado warning we would've heard sirens and we didn't. Though there could've been a tornado watch.

I don't really hate this character or anything, I'm annoyed that Mom is making me make her and isn't even offering me any really helpful suggestions about how to make her a good character. She wanted me to make her, so I was hoping she had some really good ideas, you know?

Oooooh! Nice to know historical YA fiction isn't entirely dead! Even if a lot of those titles are more historical fantasy than straight fiction. Even if I'm the only person excited for them, I'm still glad there are authors out there who write this sort of thing.

It doesn't matter how bad of a writer you think someone is, you don't harass their fans to the point of deleting their accounts for their own safety. That is extremely low and shallow and there is a special pit of Hell for people like that. It is a high form of elitism that I cannot stand and I hate elitists anyway. I genuinely feel so bad that he was harassed for simply having a fucking opinion and all of his friends were really upset by the event.
