Basically I was watching a really super funny video in the library and was trying to keep myself quiet but I failed and an older librarian slipped me a note she wrote that said super happily: "Hi!!!! Please keep your giggles down as it disturbs other people. :)"

And I was teasing my mom for believing such nonsense and after reading some of these posts, I'm not saying I fully believe it like she does, but at the same time, there have been some things in my life that seemed odd, like how sometimes I am the only person to remember an event that other people were so clearly at, like afterwards I would ask them what was the best part of the event, and they'd look at me blankly or say: "I don't know, I wasn't there," when they so clearly were. I don't really want to overthink something like this, but it's interesting, is it not? But it's bad to overthink something like this. I mean, I've seen all the movies.

I actually do believe that theory.
I can give you the Reddit links to all of these if you're curious.

Check this out: https://www.historicmysteries.com/gil...
I dunno if you've heard this story, but it's really weird. I've also heard stories of people from parallel universes coming here and then disappearing from existence.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Retconned/ -This Reddit discusses the Mandela Effect a little bit more, with a focus on more personal stories.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Glitch_in_th... This one is about 'glitches in the Matrix', which I think is pretty self-explanatory? If not I'm sure reading a few of the posts would clear it up for you.
https://www.reddit.com/r/lawofattract... -Not sure if you would be interested in this or not for personal beliefs, but it was in her history and even if you don't believe it, it might still end up be a fascinating read. This is about the 'law of attraction' which is the belief that everyone has 'neutral energy' and if you think positive thoughts and believe them, you will have positive life experiences; likewise if you think negative thoughts and believe them, you will have negative life experiences and thus you literally make your own life. I was actually unaware that Mom had been putting this in mine and my brothers' heads for the past few weeks until I read this. Whenever I said I wanted something, like a library book, she would say: "Close your eyes and picture that. Picture it sitting right there on the shelf. Do you see it, Elizabeth? You do? Now say to yourself: 'The book will be there when I go to the library.' Did you say it? Now, you have to believe it fully with your heart. Believe it fully and it will happen. But if you don't truly believe, then it won't work and the book won't be there."

At first I thought you meant due to religious beliefs but I see what you mean after reading what you wrote.

And yeah, when I realized what Mom was doing to me I felt kinda brainwashed lol. But I actually did follow her advice and the books I wanted at the library were there, and this one snack I wanted at the store, which had been out of stock for weeks, was there when I went too.

I used to believe it was "Luke I am your father" too, but that's because that's how it's said in pop culture. I'd never actually seen Empire until like, middle school.

Me: "MOM!"
Mom: "And if we somehow do survive and there's all kinds of RadRoaches and other mutated creatures in the wastelands, well....then you are allowed to say 'I told you so'."
Me: "Mom! What the heck?!"

I mean, she's not wrong, but still lol

Actually even that isn't a thousand percent accurate because no tornado threats are forecast. Just large hail and damaging winds. And that's if the storms even happen at all, the meteorologists are split on whether it'll actually storm or not just like they have been all week long.
What has been up with the weather this year?

Although there IS a bonus story in the game where your character saves everyone, so I'm just going to pretend my character was born after that story instead of the main one, if that makes sense.

Honestly, I think it'll be an interesting character since their mom is a compulsive liar with a bad temper and a princess complex and their dad is a quiet and timid hacker lol

Me: "Perhaps, but people who call others egotistical or snobby, accusing them of such things just proves that they themselves are snobbish and egotistical. I mean, you'd never hear me call someone such things, right?"
