just wishing the horse had one leg more
and maybe i can't be the perfect one

but horseshoes need a chance to run somewhere
this horseshoe is more than just, a spare
someday i'll find my thing
a thing that's all my own
that thing that makes me part of something
not just all alone
if only all this feeling i have in my heart
could mean something to someone
how i'd love to play that part!!!!

I am so cold. I can't stop shivering and my teeth are chattering. I'm the only one in my family who is this cold as usual and Mom wants me to stop complaining because she can't do anything about it.
I'm dead tired and need to sleep but I spent the last hour watching 
Mom: "You and everyone else just need teething rings. They're just like Tide Pods but without the lethality." Me: "So they're nothing like Tide Pods."
Seriously, WTF is up with tide pods recently. Those things have sent people to the ER for crying out loud.
I'm assuming people are trying to chew them because they look squishy. I have an overwhelming desire to chew on things and have several times considered chewing on them just because they look squishy, but I know they're toxic and thus I don't. That's why Mom says all we need are just teething rings because they're extremely chewy like Tide Pods are but they won't kill you.
Why chew on something toxic when you can have gummies? Or gum? Or mies? Or steak? Or literally anything chewy that ISN'T toxic?!
Why do people do stupid things? Reminds me of when I used to do all of those food YouTube challenges just to see what would happen.
The cinnamon challenge was weird, but it wasn't LETHAL. ...I think.
It gave some people pneumonia. It got caught in some peoples' throats and lungs and they had to be taken to the ER. A lot of people died from choking or being unable to breathe. And yes, I actually did do the cinnamon challenge. I tried to do the banana and sprite challenge a few months ago but Mom stopped me in the middle of it and took the stuff away from me when I told her what I was doing.

It's the large amount you have to swallow. Even a tiny amount of cinnamon can do that if you're not careful. It's where you drink a litre of Sprite and eat two bananas as fast as you possibly can and then try to not vomit it back up.

They vomit these huge geysers that put Old Faithful to shame. That was part of the reason why I wanted to do it, to see how much I would vomit

Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't be interested by it. There was a doctor in the Victorian Era that was curious by how digestion worked and wanted to study more about it, so he did this by eating something, making himself puke, eating the puke, then puking it back up to see how his food digested and changed over time.
A scientist wanted to prove yellow fever wasn't spread through the vomit of an infected person, so he tested his theory by eating the vomit, cutting open his arm and pouring vomit into it, and also pouring the vomit into his eyes. He did eventually die, but it wasn't from yellow fever. So his theory was proved, at least.
I'm so glad I was born in 1999 so I didn't have to deal with all sorts of diseases. I've always wondered how the heck the human species didn't go extinct from like, waterborne illnesses or STDs and stuff. DId they gamble with death every time they wanted a child or were there earlier ways of preventing them? And did they just hope they wouldn't get cholera or something else from the drinking water, or were there other ways to filter it?Which also leads me to ask: How the heck do animals not get sick and die from drinking water that could kill a human??
Well if we're talking about cholera, which is the historical disease I'm most familiar with, in India a popular way to filter water was with sari filtration, which is bundling up a bunch of saris and pouring the water through them. It's still used in India today to filter drinking water. A lot of people, especially nobles, did have the knowledge that boiling drinking water would prevent cholera. The problem is that cholera isn't only spread from unsafe drinking water; there were lots of other ways to get it.
And animals actually can't get sick with cholera. Humans are the only species affected by it. So like, if your farm animals drank water from somewhere and were fine, you might make that same assumption.
And cholera killed a bunch of people and caused a ton of social disrupt. And unlike other diseases, it's still out there and scientists predict with rising sea levels and the social unrest in many other nations, it's on its way to becoming a really big problem again.
How did the people figure this out, assuming it was before the germ theory?It was just an example :p there are other waterborne illnesses I know. I just wanna know how animals can not get sick an die from drinking water while humans can.
I'm not entirely sure they did know. In the Russian Empire they were really desperate to stop the spread of cholera and one doctor suggested drinking boiled water would help and a lot of people tried it out. It was a while before other countries caught on though; America followed in Russia's footsteps shortly after too but places like England were really skeptical and didn't boil their water for quite some time.

My mom found out I'm a huge fan of Marina and the Diamonds, Melanie Martinez, and Halsey and I genuinely enjoy their songs and she laughed because she knows I usually dislike that type of music and I told her that reaction was exactly why I dislike telling people my age I'm into that kind of music like they are.
What type of music is it?
Really alternative stuff, stuff that girls my age are really into because they can relate to their music, which is pretty much all about being miserable and hating the world.
I don't like music with those themes but that's just me.
It's not all about that. And I like it if it's done right and I think they make really good music. I've made characters modeled after their songs. I just don't like telling girls I'm into them and they laughing and telling me I don't understand their music because I'm super girly and pink. If they 'understood' those artists, then they'd know Melanie Martinez and Marina were super girly girls too and love the color pink! And sparkles!
Tell them that. Or ignore them. It doesn't matter what they think, right? I mean, it's not like you'll be arrested for liking it.Or will you?

I want to introduce new people to their music though. Really the only person who's willing to talk to me about their music is Mom, but she's only listened to literally one song by each of them, so I don't really think she's a reliable source, you know? Meanwhile I've listened to almost all of their songs.
I could try some of their not depressing songs. I'm looking for new music anyway.
