I'll look around and see if I can make any new brides. Since Rafael is back I might bring back Clarissa.

I thought you said you hated Clarissa? Or Rafael, I'm not sure which.

Like Cardia was locked away for most of her life because of her powers, and that's supposed to explain why she's so naive. Except her family was well-off and are scientists! So wouldn't they have a bunch of books about things that Cardia could read? Her father never said she couldn't read or talk to the servants, she just wasn't allowed to go outside. She never asked the servants about stuff she couldn't figure out? She never asked her parents or brother? I think her mother died, but her father and brother were still alive and well, and she knew her father was.
Yui was locked away for most of her life because she was raised in a convent and secretly being groomed to be the perfect sacrificial bride. She just had her adopted father to help her figure things out. Yes, she's naive when she first arrives to the mansion, but she's a quick learner and soon figures out what she needs to do. Stuff she doesn't know she learns about. She genuinely wants to make a good impression and wants to be a good wife for her man.
Cardia gets kidnapped and is completely okay with being handed off from guy to guy like nothing. Even more, if she gets kidnapped by one of the villans, instead of trying to fight or talk her way out of the problem, she just closes her eyes and cries for one of her boyfriends to come and save her. And this was in the second game, when she supposedly was more independent. And of course her boyfriend can't come get her, but she keeps crying for him.
Whenever Yui gets kidnapped, she tries to charm the villain into letting her go. She tries to fight her way out of it and only calls for help if she's all out of options. Even then though, she still tries to fight her way out. The only times she mindlessly calls for her boyfriend is when she's being brainwashed and therefore not in her right mind. In fact, sometimes Yui even has to save her boyfriend. Cardia never saves her boyfriends.
Cardia is so much of a blank slate that it's scary. I know why that was done, but Yui has a good personality despite her also being a blank slate. She's kind and loves being helpful; she's a good cook and a good embroider too. She's girly. But she can also be pushed to her limits and angrily snaps if pushed too far and can often get snarky if people keep saying stupid things to her. She doesn't have a favorite food because it changes to fit her boyfriend's favorite, like steak or candy.
Cardia has no personality. She just lets herself be dragged around by different guys and has a blank stare the entire time. The worst part of it is, she never changes. I would be more forgiving if she was just like this in the first game, and in the later games she's a lot better because she's out of the house, she's experienced a lot of things, and is more independent and can take better care of herself. But she doesn't. The games follow a linear plotline like Diabolik Lovers does, but unlike those games, Cardia never changes. She remains stagnant and never seems to acknowldge anything that's happened to her. She never gets a favorite food, she never says 'oh, remember when we did this for the first time?' Even in the second game, she has no idea how to eat properly or how to kiss. I don't mean really explicit kissing, I mean a simple peck on the lips.
Some people say Cardia can be excused because she's outside for the first time and therefore is in awe of everything. Okay, Yui isn't just outside for the first time, she's in a totally different country Her confusion is justified because she has never seen such things before. And she learns quickly. By the third game she's completely immersed in that culture and is kinda like a local. Cardia stays in the same exact city and seems to have learned nothing.
And I wouldn't even have a problem with Cardia if she experienced development. If at first she was a naive doll who allowed herself to be dragged everywhere by people, but after a while she learns, she grows, she adapts. She becomes more independent and wants to discover more things on her own. She wants to lock her crazy father up instead of letting him roam free, she wants to help her boyfriend achieve his goal instead of just nodding when he tells her about it, and actually trying to discover some kind of control or cure instead of just letting it be there when she dislikes it.
If Yui stayed the exact same way that she was in the first game, I'd have a problem with her too. While her personality isn't annoying, it wouldn't have made sense for her to go through as much as she does and eventually get crowned the Vampire Queen and not experience some kind of personality change. But she does change. She becomes stronger, more assertive, and more sure of herself. She knows exactly what she wants to do.
Cardia never becomes like that, and that is my biggest problem with her. She never changes, she never develops as a character, she remains the same blank slate at the very end of the series that she was at the very beginning. She has more personality as a child in her flashbacks then she does as an adult.
And I know some people will tell me that I don't like it when girls are overly badass and hate girly things and stuff like that, and I do. But that doesn't mean I enjoy it when girls act like this!!!! Cardia doesn't need to be swinging a sword and slicing her hair off when she's free, but she needs to have a personality.
It's really such a shame, because I love the idea of a girl being kidnapped and hidden from her father because of her destructive powers and being taken on a cross-country trip. I like the idea of it being in Victorian England and I like seeing her discover all of these new things that she's never experienced before. I like how there's actual girls in it and how Cardia befriends one. I like how all of the characters are actual literay and historical figures from that time period.
But if Cardia herself is boring and borderline offensive, then what's the point in playing it?

I have relatives who watch sports almost religiously like that.
They're like "oh who cares? Act mature" then yell at the TV and get mad/upset if something bad happens to their team. Which if they do that, I dont care. They like it so I'm glad. What I don't like is the hypocrisy.

I keep dreaming of the day our town puts on something like Wicked or Hamilton but I think that'll never happen. Mom says what they put on is based off suggestions of the cast members, and clearly nobody wants to do those. Mom says I never know though.

I pretty much believe that anyone who goes around hating on fandoms, calling them 'cringe' and insulting the fans, saying they're gay or need to be gassed or whatever, are just insecure and aren't happy with their lives. You can tell by the stuff they say. It's one thing if a fandom is actually hurting people, actually spreading dangerous ideas and whatnot, but most aren't. Those people are just jealous nobody takes them seriously enough and hopefully they'll grow out of it.

Me: "That doesn't mean anything! So what if someone says you're hot, I compliment girls all the time and say stuff like they're hot!"
Mom: "....."
Me: "...."
Me: "Oh."
Me: "BUT STILL!"

So here's a not-so-passively-aggressive dump of everything left that I couldn't get

Listen, i’d absolutely fuck a consenting, self-aware monster, but I wouldn’t fuck every monster.
A werewolf, he comes to me and says “hey, you wanna go for a ride?” and I says “sure” because he’s hot.
But If Godzilla came to me and says that, no. Godzilla is a father figure. Not for fucking.
highly-radioactive-nerd
And listen, if any of you heretics come on this post and call Godzilla your daddy, you better hope to god your name is Minilla or Minya or Godzilla Jr or else i will find you and shame you.

Good post op

Time for me to get fucking shamed then

You come on to this post and do the 100% opposite thing of which I have told you no?
The audacity. Shame on you, on your blog and shame on your gall. I am calling the police RIGHT NOW you heathen.

nidsk:
On 31 July 1807: Napoleon ordered Talleyrand to tell Denmark-Norway to prepare for war against Britain or else Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte would invade Holstein. Neither Talleyrand nor Jackson persuaded the Danes to end their neutrality, so Jackson went back to the British fleet assembled in the Sound on 15 August. The British published a proclamation demanding the deposit of the Danish fleet; the Danes responded with “what amounted to a declaration of war”.

I draw Edward’s eyes almost the same way as I draw Frances’s eyes. He inherited his piercing eyes and his serious personality from his mother. It’s commonly said that boys will look like their mother, so I basically try to draw male characters with the image of their mothers in mind. - Toboso”
.
For some reason I’ve always thought Edward rather takes after his father (in his looks as well as personality), but now that I think about it, Edward and Frances are indeed similar
in their behaviours,

outward appearance

and lovely personality xD

Now I have one more reason to love Edward! (≧▽≦)

Yeah, apparently you can only reblog 200 things a day or something like that....I don't know much about it because this is my first time hitting it.

I am literally blushing so much right now!!! I've always admired their work because they are so amazing and talented and know this is what they think of my humble little work...oh my gosh

I LOVE how they gave them new poses for this edition! I was afraid they'd just use the generic stock poses they've had since forever but they actually took the time to give them new ones! And they all fit their personalities too!

#this is so cute #I love it #so cute so pure #the little troublesome beans #this has cured my depression #cleared my skin and watered my crops #thank you so much

and ahhhhh it's so adorable!!!!!

It was originally going to be a lot longer and more in-depth than what we ended up with.

I personally don't actually mind the movie, but it could've been better iMO. It just felt like a lot of nothing. Same with Moana. Many songs in the latter felt forced.

A big plot point was about how the kingdom had a prophecy where a queen with ice in her heart would plunge the kingdom into eternal winter and would only be stopped with a sword sacrifice, and Anna and Elsa kept arguing over whether the prophecy was about them or not.
There was another song about Anna and Elsa growing up together and how they didn't want to act like typical princesses, they wanted to act however they wanted. It was originally going to show how Anna became a prissy princess and Elsa became a villain and was one of the first songs cut.

I kinda wish the story was like that, but I can see why they didn't do that.
