I mean I'm still nice to Christians if they're nice and respectful to me. But if they're going to start disrespecting me because of things I can't control, then I won't respect them either. It's not necessarily their religion that makes me upset, it's the way they think they should treat other people BASED on that religion.

Oh now that ((to me)) doesn't sound like what you originally said. My beliefs are we should aspire to be kind to everyone no matter how hard that may be or at the very least, not be jerks to people.
This one Christian blogger I recall got into an argument with a commenter because he called her out for being homophobic because she said she doesn't think being gay is right, and she said she wasn't homophobic, etc. It's easy to see who I sided with.
That's literally being homophobic-?Not being homophobic would be me saying "i'm attracted to girls and only girls. bUt if you're attracted to the same gender, multiple ones or none, then coolio."
I have a link to it, but I will not post it here since I respect her privacy But basically she was talking about how she didn't want to see the new Beauty and the Beast movie because she didn't think it was right that there was a gay character in it(I actually felt he was portrayed as being bisexual, but that's besides the point) and how Disney advertised it. She felt like seeing the movie was supporting gay people, and she and some of her followers felt like that was 'ruining' what was originally a 'beautiful movie'
And someone said she was homophobic and that they hope children will go see it so they wouldn't grow up to be homophobic like she is, and she said she's not homophobic because that means she's afraid of gay people and she's not. She said being gay is wrong due to her moral code and that there was an obvious difference between homosexuality and heterosexuality and that is why hetereosexuality is in kids' movies and has been for decades, and that putting such a thing in a movie for kids doesn't honor God.
HAting other people dishonors God.Out of everything in Beauty and the Beast, an implied bisexual character is the worst part? Not...falling in love with a hairy creature who was cursed to be that way because he was a jerk?
I know I've been super negative on this topic, so I'll leave you with this: I was actually having that discussion about the movie on GoodReads when it came out with a friend of mine who is a fairly conservative Christian, and I mentioned my sexuality and religious beliefs to her as part of my two cents. And to my surprise, she was totally cool with it! She was like: "I still love you despite being a Buddhist and a lesbian, because God loves you too, that's what He teaches us to do!"
And whenever I see really homophobic or racist or just plain terrible people who are Christians, I remind myself of that conversation, because I feel that is what a true Christian is.
I don't know this person but I applaud her. That's what God wants us to be like because that's what the bible SAYS to be like!John 13:34-35 ESV
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
THough it surprises me that a conservative would have that mind set. CONServatives usually try to, well...conserve the old ways, which were oppressive to anyone who isn't a rich, white, heterosexual Christian male.obviously they'r enot all like that though.

I literally have fifty tabs of YouTube open and I can't remember why. Not of any actual videos, but just of the website. Fifty tabs of nothing but the website.

I went on my weather service's Twitter page and found all of this:
Can we just like.....not? I was hoping they had mispredicted such a high risk, as that has happened before, but they said they are extremely confident in this forecast.
I asked one of our weather ambassadors on FaceBook if I should be concerned about tornadoes in this system and they asked me where I lived. I told them my city and they responded that the main threats for my city are strong, damaging winds, large hail, and flooding. They weren't predicting any for my area, but they stressed that a tornado could still form, but if any do, they will be small and brief. However, I should still be cautious anyway.
Meteorologists who are trained to respond to severe and winter weather really quickly and send in damage reports after the storms. They also respond to civilians' own storm reports and answer any questions or concerns they have about current forecasts.
Also that 'I should still be cautious' was part of their response. I thought that was obvious by how formal it was.
I kinda want to be one, my weather service is still looking for a couple more. A lot of them are just regular citizens that they train. They're called 'Weather-Ready Weather Ambassadors'
I wish they would tell us how big our hail is supposed to be instead of just saying 'large hail', because that could mean anything from quarter-size to watermelon-size. I don't want to make my own guess, because hail is something really dangerous.
Mom said it was a super nice night out and downtown was super busy and I said: "The literal calm before the storm,"
I couldn't find the candy in my Lunchable and I was upset for a second but then I found it buried under the chips lol Good thing too, it was my favorite candy bar
I remember last March when we got big hailstones and I was excited because they were as big as my palm and I wanted to touch one and cut it open to count the rings since I had never done it before. I was extremely disappointed because hail feels just like snow. I mean, it is snow kinda, but I was expecting it to feel different. I managed to cut it open and counted five rings before it melted.

Almond-Joy? There's a lot of candy bars I dislike, actually.
Hunter (Totally NOT a communist ☭) wrote: "Rings?I would have expected it to be hard and scrapy. Like maybe sandpaper? IDK."
Me too. I thought it was going to feel really hard like a rock. I mean, it does a ton of damage when it falls.
Well hail is formed when a raindrop falls from a storm cloud, but is sucked back up really high into the cloud, turning it into a crystal. The process repeats for several times before it finally falls to the ground as hail. The rings inside tell you how many times it bounced from cloud to cloud.
Severe thunderstorms are such a weird bubbly stew inside.

Most of them lol I like Kit-Kat, Hershy(though I can't eat very many) 3 Musketeer, Twix is okay. I'll eat Snickers and Milky Way if there's nothing else there. I dislike the rest.
The forecast explanation details that most of the storms produced tomorrow will be supercell storms, and I don't think I've read something scarier.

Ah
I opened a pack of Starbursts AND THEY WERE BOTH PINK D: Pink is the only kind I won't eat. Not because it's pink but because it's strawberry. Ewww.
