I am about 2/3 of the way through this book, maybe 140 pages to go. Kelly is almost killed, well we still don't know, Tom Poletti is in the process of being charged with Treason. Sam is wanted by the FBI and while he is searching for his daughter. What a great book! I hope that gives you enough cliff hangers that you want to read the book. I can't seem to put it down
I finished this book and along with Over the Edge (the book where Max Baget, FBI head, negotiates with terrorist who have kidnapped a plane full of people) Gone Too Far brings in many of past characters including Max and Gina. I hope you read this.
I checked it out at the library last night and will start it as soon as I finish the book I'm reading now. I can't wait to find out what happens with Sam and Alyssa.
I just finished Gone Too Far and loved it. I liked how it resolved so many issues that had been left hanging in previous books. Tom and Kelly finally got married. Max and Gina worked out their issues and Sam and Alyssa finally got together. This is probably my favorite book in the series so far.

FBI agent Alyssa Locke’s relationship with Sam has been overwhelmingly intense and nearly catastrophic, yet it refuses to end. The last time she saw Sam was six months earlier, when they worked together to stop terrorists from assassinating the U.S. President. Much to her dismay, Alyssa is assigned to lead the murder investigation and once again the two are face to face. When explosive information surfaces linking Sam to the still unsolved assassination plot, the stakes are raised. With her reputation hanging in the balance, and her loyalties in question, Alyssa is faced with an impossible dilemma:arrest a man she believes to be innocent, or risk her career.
While Alyssa tries to fight their intense attraction, Sam is determined to heat things up between them once again. And the complex case pushes them both to the wrong side of the law–and on the run to discover the truth. As more agents step into the chase, and with Sam’s daughter still unaccounted for, neither Alyssa nor Sam can predict just how deadly hot this situation is about to become. . . .
