Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments In his career as one of America’s elite warriors, Lt. Sam Starrett can do no wrong. In his private life, Sam–the king of one night stands–has done little right. Now, he’s waiting for a divorce and determined to stay active in his young daughter’s life. But when Sam shows up at the door of his ex-wife’s home in Sarasota, Florida, he makes a grisly discovery. His daughter is gone and the body of a woman lies brutally murdered on the floor.

FBI agent Alyssa Locke’s relationship with Sam has been overwhelmingly intense and nearly catastrophic, yet it refuses to end. The last time she saw Sam was six months earlier, when they worked together to stop terrorists from assassinating the U.S. President. Much to her dismay, Alyssa is assigned to lead the murder investigation and once again the two are face to face. When explosive information surfaces linking Sam to the still unsolved assassination plot, the stakes are raised. With her reputation hanging in the balance, and her loyalties in question, Alyssa is faced with an impossible dilemma:arrest a man she believes to be innocent, or risk her career.

While Alyssa tries to fight their intense attraction, Sam is determined to heat things up between them once again. And the complex case pushes them both to the wrong side of the law–and on the run to discover the truth. As more agents step into the chase, and with Sam’s daughter still unaccounted for, neither Alyssa nor Sam can predict just how deadly hot this situation is about to become. . . .

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I am about 2/3 of the way through this book, maybe 140 pages to go. Kelly is almost killed, well we still don't know, Tom Poletti is in the process of being charged with Treason. Sam is wanted by the FBI and while he is searching for his daughter. What a great book! I hope that gives you enough cliff hangers that you want to read the book. I can't seem to put it down

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I finished this book and along with Over the Edge (the book where Max Baget, FBI head, negotiates with terrorist who have kidnapped a plane full of people)
Gone Too Far brings in many of past characters including Max and Gina. I hope you read this.

Judy | 2571 comments I checked it out at the library last night and will start it as soon as I finish the book I'm reading now. I can't wait to find out what happens with Sam and Alyssa.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Definitely worth savoring the book. I am excited that someone else is reading it.

Judy | 2571 comments I just finished Gone Too Far and loved it. I liked how it resolved so many issues that had been left hanging in previous books. Tom and Kelly finally got married. Max and Gina worked out their issues and Sam and Alyssa finally got together. This is probably my favorite book in the series so far.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments Mine too. I liked how Max and Gina got sort of back together. I realize they have a few more books before they really hook up for life, can't remember which book it is, but I am looking forward to it.

I am also glad that Tom and Kelly finally got married.
