The Snowman

I read The Snowman by Norwegian Author Jo Nesbo. The storyline was a bit dull and dry at times and I had a hard time connecting with the characters. But overall, the story had a lot of great twists and turns that left you on the edge of your seat. I also read this during our largest snow fall in over a decade, so it set a great atmosphere for the book!

The Thief
I read 'The Thief' by Fuminori Nakamura translated in english from the original Japanese.
I throughly enjoyed it, more than I expected to. It is written in a way that consistently leaves you wanting to know more but yet be satisfied by what it does tell you.
Definitely worth a read

I read The Play of Death by Oliver Pötzsch translated from German. "Perhaps all books have something magical about them, she thought. Just letters on a page that turn into images, scenes, and conversations in our minds." Pötzsch, Oliver. The Play of Death (US Edition) (A Hangman's Daughter Tale Book 6) (Kindle Locations 7426-7427). Amazon Crossing. Kindle Edition. I am taken by the Hangman's Daughter series. They take place in the late 1600s and there is always at least one unexplained death. They are definitely not your run of the mill mystery, highly recommended.
