Ariana | 4 comments I liked Erika and Oliver's characters because I found I could relate to them the most. Erika and Oliver seemed true to themselves, even if it wasn't what other people wanted to see. Erika could seem curt but all the while you could see why she behaved the way she did- and how much her mother's hoarding and lack of parenting shaped the type A personality she was. Oliver had a similar personality as Erika, and it seemed his upbringing shaped that as well. But, they both completely understood each other and loved each other, flaws and all. It was especially touching to see how Oliver handled Erika's treasure suitcase.

Nelly | 9 comments The characters in the book were mostly relatable, if not to me, they provided another perspective to life that I would imagine it to be like. My favourites would also be Oliver and Erika as they seemed most like myself and my husband (differing childhoods that have shaped how you are today). They also didn't come across to be the type of people to 'attention seek' and were happy with each other's company and understood the complexities that made each other the way they were.

Intriguing in their own way...I found they were all
Very different characters and situations to the books I usually read but am glad I read it....the mystery of the bbq and what happened was well written and kept me wanting to read more.
