Thank you both for your thoughts. I want to get strong enough to read Nicole's latest which has lots of angst and is also very long.

Excellent progress Sheila... so glad you are getting better on all fronts. We missed you when you were off line.
And I missed reading all the comments this neighborhood of friends make as well as their reviews and recommendations...but my brain was on sabbatical!
I think you are awesome also, Debbie. I always look to see how you rate a book and if I have read it or not. Thank you for the compliment.
226.) Lizzy Bennet Meets the Countess: A Bennet Wardrobe Novella 4 stars227.) Mail Order Bride by Fumar/Sarah Beth 4 stars http://meryton.com/aha/index.php?show...
Sheila, something happened to your link. Someone might like to try again. I am going to read it. Thanks for the heads up. Great numbers by the way.https://www.dwiggie.com/derby/old_200...
229.) An Old Acquaintance ~ D&E ~ Modern ~ E By cat0967 http://meryton.com/aha/index.php?show... 3 stars230.) Renewing Old Acquaintances http://meryton.com/aha/index.php?show... 3 stars
Shelia... don't know what happened. When I clicked on it... it told me the page could not be found and gave me a picture of Colin Firth instead. I'm not complaining... Colin Firth is yummy to look at. Just saying.

Need to join Meryton Assembly and use your passcode to get in there, then need the group username and passcode to go to the "Reading Room" and access completed stories.
It is so well written. The way she (the author) phrases thoughts and emotions had me in tears over and over again.
Sheila, I just read your # 232... Mr. Bennet has had enough. It was so short, it would take me longer to write a review than how long it took to read it. Poor Mr. Bennet, I feel sorry for him... somewhat.
Yes, but don't you really think he should have acted in that manner long before everything exploded?
I liked Mr. Bennet when he had enough! But ... do you remember Mr. Collins letter when he advised a similar plan? And they all thought that was cruel and un-Christian?
Great progress Sheila. I can't wait to read these dreams but am waiting till i can read interrupted or stay up and not be overly tired for work. ;)
I thought it would bother me to read only 1/2 way through and I would have nightmares but it was written in such a way that I slept unencumbered by "these dreams". There are two parallel stories going on and the love story comes together sooner than I thought it would. It is the mystery that hangs and while the readers knows what is going on....in part...the actors are still trying to determine who the traitor is in the family. I will read this again some day although I did not rush through it. There are many lovely sentences and/or phrases which will touch your heart.
235.) Better Than She Deserved: A Pride and Prejudice Variation Novelette 3.5 stars236.) Miss Bingley's Revenge 4 stars
You continue to be full of awesomeness, Sheila. Congrats on the new additions to your long list of books read!
237.) All I Ever Wanted: An Abbott Springs Anthology 3.5 stars (NOT JAFF)238.) Darcy and Elizabeth: The Faces of Love 4 stars
I know Marilyn Brant has written some JAFF books. Are the Abbott Springs stories non-JAFF? (And congrats on adding to your already-impressive list!)
The Abbott Springs is Non-JAFF but since I reached my goal I count it for my year's total. She wrote some modern ones about Jane and about Lizzy. I enjoy her books but she does have some MA material in them.
I thought it wasn't JAFF, but you had added "(NOT JAFF)" to a previous entry on your list, and when I didn't see it on this one, I had to ask. I know I've read at least one and maybe two others of hers that ARE JAFF, so I knew she dabbled in the genre.
Sorry - I'll have to go back and mark it. I have so much going on with a visiting nurse and a physical therapist coming in plus doctors' appointments and have had a new issue come up which was taking up much of my time so my mind was not focusing. I am better now and have three reviews to write.
Oh, goodness, no explanation needed! We all have lives outside of GR that take our attention, and everyone knows you're still recovering after your recent hospitalization. It's great that you're doing better, and it's only to be expected that it take a while to get back to life as usual. Love you, honey!
I love you all too! There have been two times now when someone has disappeared for a while. How do you all feel about letting one or two people within this group have some form of contact info for a close friend or family member in case of an unexpected disappearance? I really dislike this potential weakness of a social network. This is the first one I've been in, and I'm quite attached to you all! JW has a way to get in touch with my husband.
If anyone wants my e-mail or my husband's e-mail send me a private message and I will share it and know that I trust you to use it appropriately. I did ask my daughter to notify everyone in my address book if anything happens to me. (Sorry, I know that is morbid. But don't want my friends wondering.) But if I don't have your e-mail address that is not going to happen.
239.) Off-Balance by JustineR: "In this modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennet is a high-powered, idealistic lawyer. Will Darcy is CEO of a private equity firm, and they grapple with work, love, and family. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8713998/... 4 stars240.) On-Balance by JustineR: "In this sequel to Off Balance, Lizzy Bennet and Will Darcy are a New York power couple, married for five years. They work hard and have a great life together. Then they have a baby, and they need to re-negotiate just about everything. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9573075/... 3.5 stars
Sheila wrote: "If anyone wants my e-mail or my husband's e-mail send me a private message and I will share it and know that I trust you to use it appropriately. I did ask my daughter to notify everyone in my addr..."I won't inundate you with requests... if there is one or two of us that can notify the others.. it will leave your relative with less people to contact. Thanks Sheila. We were glad when Joy was able to contact you and let us know you were doing well.
