I haven't decided, yet. Maybe more classics or Newbery winners? How about you?
I am reading some Newbery books, books I learn about from this site, random books that fit my reading plan and probably more non-fiction.
I'm planning to read more female authors. I did pretty well last year with almost half of my books written by women, but this year I want to do much better and try for about 2/3 by women. This isn't something I paid attention to until 2015, but I see how lop-sided my reading has been in the past.
I'm considering reading more contemporary literature, especially from my own country. Also, to complete more from the 1001 list
I will continue reading more women and want to get my TBR down, these are my main goals. I'd like to join more group reads and have some ideas for themed reads, but they all interfere with the "read what you own" goal, so maybe next year ;)
I want to get my TBR pile down some more, aiming for at least 80 books, although ideally I would get closer to 150. I want to finish some of my yearly challenges this year too. Last year I almost got many, but didn't quite make it. I also want to read more books by people from other countries, have less of an American perspective in them...
I am going to get my TBR pile down-- to make room for more books. I can't resist used book stores and sales.
I'm trying to read at least 12 books (one a month), but every year I've been able to beat that goal, so let's hope I can do that this year too!-Nihar

I'm trying to read fewer books written by Americans and men and wanting to read more translations/international perspectives. Also, I aim to read more non-fiction on topics like history, politics, economics and history--especially if written by women, (and written by non-American women is also a goal). Like last year, I'm reading 52 books this year. It's nice to be part of this group who seem to share many of these same aims.
