It's been a while since I read this one so I'm curious to see how much I remember and what my opinion is re-reading. I'm waiting for an audiobook to become available from the library and then I'll be right on it :-)

Most Excellent! I hope The Servants of Twilight arrives soon for you Charissa.
I've got the audiobook waiting for me at the library so planning to start The Servants of Twilight tomorrow :-)

In typical Koontz fashion, the character has a distrust of the local police and hires a private investigator.
An 'all us other children, when
the supper things is done,
We sit around the kitchen fire
an' has the mostest fun
A-list-nin' to the witch-tales
that Annie tells about,
An' the Gobble'uns that gits you
if you
Don't
Watch
Out!
-LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE by James Whitcomb Riley
As quoted in THE SERVANTS OF TWILIGHT by Dean Koontz

Christine's upbringing reminds me of Nora's upbringing in Watchers. There is a lot of guilt instilled, a suffocating Victorian House. Religion plays a significant role in the story.

On Grace, I think she might be talking to the wrong side here. The side with a lot of heat and pain behind it.
Edit: forgot the stupid 'e' on 'the.'
Well, it all depends on who is participating which determines where the discussion goes :-)
I have noticed a reoccurring inclusion of BATS in Dean Koontz stories including THE VISION, THE SERVANTS OF TWILIGHT, and most recently in SAINT ODD.
In the beginning I thought Grace might be a fun crazy grandma, but now I'm nearing the end and I think if Grace was your grandma, she'd likely end up killing you.
I will truthfully admit that The Servants of Twilight is not one of my favorite Dean Koontz books - far from it. I've never really liked the book very much :-)

Does anyone actually wonder if Grace might be right?
Based on the boy's mysterious father, the thought keeps crossing my mind :-)
Guess I'll find out soon.

With The Servants of Twilight, Dean was pretending to be a woman named Leigh Nichols. Even if Dean was using an alternate identity, he would not write like this anymore. It is interesting how each of us change over time as a result of our life experiences.

Grace is quite the quirky character dressing all in Yellow, Green or Gray, depending on the day.
I like when she has a black day and has her follower take off her clothes :-)

This title was originally published in 1984 under the pseudonym/ pen name Leigh Nichols.
