He's a good speaker - humorous too - I attended an author series he did not too long ago.

I thought I was done for the year, but I find myself completely engrossed in 14th century England (Dorset) in The Last Hours by Minette Walters. It has a slight The Pillars of the Earth feel to it.
I am in contemporary London with Wild Chamber: A Peculiar Crimes Unit Mystery by Christopher Fowler.

Also, I'm traveling Middle east with "Travels of Ibn Battutah" by Ibn Battutah... :)
Interesting responses by everyone!! :)

Hi Ridhika - welcome to Around the World! Sounds like you've already hit the trail running traveling to several places. It's been a long time since I've heard Ibn Battutah's name - from many moons ago in world history class! Will be interested to hear what you think of the book. I realize that we didn't close out the 2017 threads and this is one of them :-) I'm going to do that so we don't miss out on folks' posts. Please do go over to the 2018 threads and introduce yourself and start posting there - we'd love to follow your travels. Welcome again!

Same here. This is my fourth. I suspect Rising Asia will retain its designation as my runaway fave.
