I prefer team challenges because I like the camaraderie and motivation it gives me. Sounds like past UNO teams have had great fun, I hope I end up on one like that and that they will welcome a first timer. *grin
Anna wrote: "How many people are playing more than one challenge?"I'm doing a few other ones on GR, and some personal ones. Such as trying to catch up on some series and hoping to get through some of the recommend to me books here on GR.
Right now I'm just waiting for the UNO challenge to begin and I'm working on clearing out some books that have been on my TBR list since I joined goodreads. My goal is to read 30 books from it this year. I'm excited to start another reading challenge again. I took a little hiatus after NBRC's Wobble challenge. It was so much fun but life got really busy at the end and I wasn't able to participate as much as I wanted to.
I a learning from last year where I really wanted to reread the HP series half way through UNO, so rereading it now :)
I was afraid I would not be able to keep up with multiple challenges so I'm just doing this one right now but it's my first time to do so I hope that I get a team that is willing to help me out
Hi I'm Nikk :-) This is my first time playing team UNO but I am looking forward to it. I have a few other challenges going on as well both individual and team and have made myself an awesome looking (at least in my opinion) spreadsheet to keep tracking of them and my reading. Aiming to read 200 books this year and reading challenges keep me focused LOL :-)Looking forward to finding out the teams as there are a few people I know here from other groups and it would be awesome to be in a team with them again or to meet new people as well :-)

Hi Nikk - nice to see you here - there are a few of us Aussies around. I played UNO last year and had a ball - was my first HUGE team challenge -and is really full on. It will definately help you meet your goal ;)
I have a spreadsheet too!
Thanks Sally. I did wobble last year and tower teams before that so I love the big team challenges. They are so much fun. Also with my daughter starting school in a couple of weeks I am looking forward to more reading time on the commute to and from work
Hi there! I'm Nichole and this will be my first time playing UNO but I've done lots of team challenges over the years. I heard through the grapevine that this was THE challenge to join :) My favorite genres are Fantasy and Romance and their many subgenres. My most anticipated 2017 reads are...
There are more but I need to catch up first! The Holidays really put a dent in my reading time. I'm working on that now. This sounds fun! I'm excited to play :)
Since the challenge starts in a little over a week, would anyone like to do some type of mini challenge? Maybe we could do a spell it out for the words UNO CHALLENGE? I also had an idea about getting know each other. I was going to ask a question and then the next person will answer it. That person will then ask a question and the next person will answer that one, etc. If anyone likes these ideas, let me know!
Laura wrote: "I like the question idea because it can keep going!"I like it too! It would be fun to get to know some of you, since I am new to UNO challenge and this group. Thanks for thinking of it Diane!

Okay I'll start with an easy one. What are you reading right now and how do you like the book so far?
I have waaayyy too many challenges! But go big or go home right? I'm doing a couple big team challenges plus several individual ones. I am obsessed! It's just a shame that work and real life have to get in the way of reading. **Sigh**Right now I'm reading Clockwork Angel, Halfway to the Grave, Silence and a bunch of others. They are all awesome so far!

Hi Kat! How are you doing?
Diane Woods wrote: "Okay I'll start with an easy one. What are you reading right now and how do you like the book so far?"I'm reading
and
. I'm really enjoying Steel's Edge, but I'm on the fence with One Foot in the Grave. I like it, sort of... I think it's just taking me awhile to get into. I did enjoy the first book so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I fall in love with its sequel. Next question.... What's the WORST book you read in 2016?
Diane Woods wrote: "Okay I'll start with an easy one. What are you reading right now and how do you like the book so far?"I am reading book 3 Clay's Ark
of the Patternmaster series by Octavia E. Butler. The book is a part of the Seed to Harvest: Wild Seed, Mind of My Mind, Clay's Ark, Patternmaster
collection. It is a really good work of Science Fiction by one of the best female authors of Sci-Fi. I am writing this now because I could not put the book down. I had to finish it before I could go to sleep. To sleep or start book 4?....hmmm.

Hi Kat! How are you doing?"
Hey Kat! Hey Noa! Long time no speak! Good to see you have both recovered from wobble :-P
Diane Woods wrote: "Okay I'll start with an easy one. What are you reading right now and how do you like the book so far?"I'm reading Utmarker by Arne Dahl, first in a new crime series set in Sweden. I'm only a few chapters in, but so far it is really good. The plot jumped straight into a case with a missing woman and a serial murder, and it definitely has me intrigued.
I'm also reading Les Misérables - it is good but it is going very slow (mostly because I keep getting sidetracked by wanting to watch the film again or listen to the musical soundtrack...). I will definitely not finished it before Uno starts!
Victoria wrote: "Next question.... What's the WORST book you read in 2016? "The worst book I read last year was without a doubt The Daydreamer Detective. I prefer hard-boiled mysteries, but can enjoy a cozy mystery once in a while as long as they are well written. This was horrible. I liked the setting but the MC was extremely annoying. There was absolutely no character development during the book, and the plot was so weak it was painful to read. Everything magically just worked out and the MC didn't actually contribute anything. I cannot even remember what significant events happened in the book (or what the mystery the MC was investigating was) - the only thing I remember about this book is how much I disliked it, and how frustrated the MC made me, from page 1 to the end.

I'm doing good. And you ladies, how are you both doing?
Ha! Yes I enjoyed the break and dwindled on reading. But I signed up with 153 books this year so I welcome the push this team challenges give.
Hey Nikk, did you sign up for SOS Bingo?
