Rules for the Catch up Challenge

This group may be for old books but here we are getting a shiny new fresh start. This challenge is for anyone who wants to catch up on old club group reads.

Rules are:
-Book must be started and completed in the eligible time frame (1/1/17 and 12/31/17.)*
-Audio books and e-books count as long as they are unabridged.
-You must post a comment(s) in the discussion thread when you are done reading.**
-Re-reads are allowed unless you participated and discussed the book in this group previously.

Fine Print Below:

*No group selections from 2017 can be read for this challenge. Only 2012-2016 books only will count for this challenge.

**Beginning in 2016 the discussion are divided into weeks. The reading schedule is posted in the 2016 Classic Selections folder to help you avoid posting spoilers in the wrong week's thread. As this is a catch up challenge you could also just post in the final week discussion when you have completed a book. (Easiest way to find the correct discussion in the 2016 folder is to sort by topics instead of last activity.)


THERE ARE PRIZES: Once you have read more than 10 past group selections you will be eligible for to win a book of your choosing (no more than $15.) Three eligible members will be picked at random.

Please Note: Make sure you go to the challenge link at the top of the page to post the name of the shelf you'll be using so you can tag to the books to count in this challenge. This how I will be able to see that you are participating. :)

Also if your profile is set to private I will not be able to see your list of books. Please make sure to keep your challenge thread updated so I know what you have read and commented on.

Yes that is right :) A few other members have already started their posts. Which you can use as a reference.

And don't forget to post to the old discussions in this group as well in order to qualify for the prizes :)

I would like to participate in a Catch Up Challenge - 2018. I don't need a prize - I just want to do it for fun. I read only one classic last year, and it's definitely time for a catch up. So, is this going to get off the ground?

I will post the new challenge by the end of the week :) Sorry for dropping the ball on that one a lot of things went down and I took some time to recoup but I am back now with a computer that actually works as well so huge plus there!
