Yep! This is my first time reading this book, Danielle. I’ve been wanting to read it for years, and have just finally gotten around to it! I’ve heard good things about Bastien ;)
Antidote to angst: I was scrolling through my Audible library and came across Anne Stuart's uncharacteristically fluffy historical series about three sisters who go off to find the villain who framed their father for larceny and lost them their home. "Never Marry a Viscount" is just romantic fun, reminiscing of Christina Dodd's classic Governess Brides series... If you're expecting Anne Stuart's trademark mean antihero, you won't find him here. Sheer enjoyment with a touch of suspense.

which was entertaining and action filled. And I’m almost finished reading
by Anne bishop. Ms Bishop is one of my favourite authors. I’m enjoying this first book in The Others series a lot.

I'm working my way slowly through Shameless. It's good. I'm just so busy right now.
Danielle, IMO Never Trust a Pirate is the best of the series. And if you're into audiobooks, Xe Sands does an excellent job as narrator on all three.

I'm now listening to Never Trust a Pirate, and am about 3 chapters in (there's just been a dramatic kiss moment!).
I think I read the first book in this series in a buddy read with you Danielle? I enjoyed that one, so I'm interested to see how this one progresses if you say you preferred this 2nd book Susan :-)
