Sheri, I agree with Treena - the first ones are the best, but I go farther than the first 3 in my opinion - the stories with the Norton brothers are really great - I'm not sure how far into the series they go, but if you continue (and I would!), be sure to read as far as those two - they're really heartrending but beautiful romances. Her latest ones aren't as good, but I don't seem to be able to give up. If I do, I'll just go back and reread the first ones.

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 7 comments I'm reading the 3rd book of The Adventurers Quartet by Stephanie Lauren. This one is called The Daredevil Snared (The Adventurers Quartet, #3) by Stephanie Laurens . It's been over a year since I read the first 2, but I've had no trouble picking up the storyline - however, the fact that I waited that long is telling enough. I'll finish these 2 books, but they may be the last SL books for me. If I get a yen for her writing, I'll reread some of my earlier favorites, if they still appeal.

Mara Pemberton (marapem) Kirsten, My favorite ones are the tongue in cheek ones set in the Victorian era. The Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters is my absolute favorite. I like the St. Cyr series the is set in the Regency Era. And of course, there are many others.

Those are great. I need to get a copy of the 2nd St Cyr book.

I like Rhys Bowen and Charles Todd (especially the Bess Crawford series) and, of course, Jacqueline Winspear

Just finished Hard as It Gets (Hard Ink, #1) by Laura Kaye book one in the Hard Ink series by Laura kaye and absolutely loved. Did not want to put it down. I hate being disappointed by a book in a series I've enjoyed, but it happens. I had issues with Fatal Threat (Fatal, #11) by Marie Force and really had to focus to stay in the story. Several head-shaking, eye-rolling moments for me. :( My Review

Yes, I'm loving it! Historical murder mystery. I do love historical fiction.

I've read the first couple of books in the C.S. Harris series and I like it a lot!

I listened to a classic -- The Rake (Davenport, #2) by Mary Jo Putney The Rake by Mary Jo Putney. It's a re-read. I listened to it this time and wasn't crazy about the narration. The story is still excellent.
