There are those too and I'm going to eventually get rid of them too lol no time. You're amazing to try and read them all.

I've had a very slow week for reading and I finally finished Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop ...I ended up really liking this after it took me a while to get into it but I think the slow build was necessary to the story and the characters. Very unique story with a cast of colourful and interesting characters. I will definitely be continuing on with the series.

The next book I picked out is Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1) by Cassandra Clare and I was really hoping to read this one soon, since the next book comes out in May ... woohoo!! My brother would be happy because he really needs to discuss the book with me, as he has read it already.

I was hoping to finish this one in January, but ran out of time. I won't have time to read it this month, but I'm hoping to in March!

Glad to know it picks up Sylvia. I think I started this one once and didn't finish because of the slow start.

Too bad you didn't enjoy Uprooted. It was very wordy, and the names were brainteasers, when I read it; so I found the audiobook on my library app to help me out. I am such a cheater, I know ;)

Hope you enjoy Lady Midnight. It brought me back in favor with Clare.

I found it too painful to keep reading Uprooted. If a book doesn't get me in at least the first 30% then I give up. There are just too many books to get through that I desperately want to read.

I'm glad Lady Midnight did that for you :D

message 72: by BookPusher D (new)

BookPusher D (bookpusherd) | 53 comments I wish I could adopt that motto.

If the book isn't rubbing me the wrong way, but just slow or kibd of annoying, I will track on. I must like misery..ha. I just have to know what happens sometimes. I did that with Shadow Fall Series, but luckily I enjoyed the spin off. I am doing that now with The Wolves of Mercy Falls series. I just want to know what happens in this series, but without all the overdone infatuation. lol

I couldn't even get into Shiver and I tried a couple of times but it was just not for me...you are braver than me, that's for sure.

I will give book 3 a go when it pops out of my book jar, but if it is another painful one, I am going to google how it ends..lol.

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments I didn't see where you read it. Duh!! Yes, Outlander will be :-). I love the first season more The the second but I love Jamie and Claire abs Jamie. Lol. I'm excited to read it and uh, skip over the really bad parts !

I've only watched season 1 and waiting for season 2 to get on Netflix lol taking too long. I will message you when I pick it out of my jar :)

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments My phone wrote abs Jamie and not and Jamie. Lol

I don't know if Netflix is ever going to get it. I had to finally get the first season from the library and then I got them at the used book/blu ray, everything store.

Well, I had to order the second volume of season 1 from Amazon. They only had the first part and season 2 at the used book store. I'm waiting for season 3, OMG!

Season 1 is currently on Netflix and before Season 3 starts on the SoHo channel on Foxtel (cable in Australia) they will most likely add Season 2 to Netflix.

It was Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1) by Cassandra Clare and I just read the Prologue last night before going to bed.

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments They don't have it on Netflix in the US. Not that I have seen. You can get the Starz add on subscription through Amazon Prime for an extra $7.99 plus tax and see it there since it's their show. I guess I will do the free trial when it comes out and then cancel it !!

Read nearly first 100 pages and loving it.

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments I never even got a notification on your page!!!! GR!!!!

I don't know why ours doesn't get it. Guess it's like Amazon US or Amazon UK. You have Netflix for different places and our other main station Starz gets it so you have to subscribe to that.

I'm glad your enjoying Lady Midnight. :-) Eeep! ❤

There probably why ... just like we don't get everything either.

I've had hardly anytime for reading but am up to chapter 12 and it's a steady read so far. Want to keep reading but life gets in the way lol

BookPusher D (bookpusherd) | 53 comments The next TDA comes out in May? I didn't realize. Totally looking forward to it too. Glad you enjoyed the last one. Hope EoS is not a dud. I still need to get to that series.

message 93: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments I LOVED EoS, but it does bring back a lot of the characters that are in the prequels novellas (from The Assassin's Blade) so I think its helpful to read that first if you haven't already.

The romance is REALLY good in EoS too :D

I won an ARC of Throne of Glass back in the day, read it, loved it but haven't continued with the series, do you think it's worth it? (I think book 2 is in my book jar actually!)

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments Team Rowan! =) I hope you all enjoy! I love the Throne of Glass series but I'm afraid she's going to kill everyone in the last book. Wouldn't that be something if an author did kill every single person in a book at the end. Like the world exploded or something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The second book is actually my favorite book of the series, so definitely try it!

And I actually REALLY like the Assassin's Blade, which is a bind of of prequel novellas. You learn SO MUCH about Caleana's past in this one!
