I had my first real year of reading last year(at the grand old age of 49) and so set myself a challenge of 12 books. One a month I thought would be reasonable as I had never read before on a consistent basis.I ended up with a total of 34 or 35 books i think.
So this year I have doubled last years target to 24. My thinking was, last year might be first year enthusiasm so setting a target of mid 30s might be too much.
Having said that I`m already 4 books through my challenge this year and 1/2 way through my 5th.
I just finished the 15th of my 190 books goal, Adrian. I'm 3 books ahead of schedule compared to this time last year. :)
I have set my target a little lower than last year. I had my right leg in a cast for 3 months and was able to read more, but be assured, I will be reading as many as I am able. I must try to reduce the number I have waiting to be read.
100 books is the plan for this year. I think I can make it because I am re-reading some YA books and those books are short reads.

I went for one a week so started with the same challenge of 50 but after managing that in 8 months last year hoping to reset it to 60 at my half year review. 3 ahead of target so far...
