I haven't read life of pi unfortunately so no good suggestions. I hope you find some really great ones! I love my kindle too, can't imagine not having it :)

I moved your topic into the appropriate 2017 personal challenge folder. :)

- The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Díaz
- The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga
- Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
I've also thrown Life of Pi into What Should I Read Next (now that's a blast from the past! ;D) and the books I like the sound of that have come out are:
- Q&A by Vikus Swarup
- The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy
- Brick Lane by Monica Ali
- The Electric Michelangelo by Sarah Hall
- The Gathering by Anne Enright
Most of these have at least some spirit of adventure about them I think. :) Hopefully they help! And best of luck with all the reading and your novel!
I received a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and I love it! The screen is designed to feel like real paper! I am already reading more because it is so nice to use.
I mostly read fiction. I am currently read The Trial by Kafka. I want to read something more adventurous like the Life of Pi next. Any suggestions!
