Hello my dear reading log!
feeling bad that am not very attentive but i try my best to read books so that I can mention them here. so don't be angry.;) here is what i have read since i last made an appearance here.
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian - picked for it was National Award Winner in YA category. funny at times but didn't like it much. (you know na how demanding i am;))
Yellow Crocus - this one was gathering dust on my shelf from last two years and also it was a small read but hated it. this tells us the story of slavery without blood and pain. :/
Highland Dawn - a decent book till i reached penultimate chapters. lead pair's whining made me whine, why o why?
The Dark Forest - blame it on me. I took too much time to finish it. so many complex terms and with me not reading it on regular basis left huge gaps. :(
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me - I fell a little more of Aiden and Vanessa. <3<3
Currently reading
East of Eden - Will resume this soon.
Count of Monte Cristo - loving it.
Death's end - final book in Remembrance of Earth's Past. Have learned my lesson and i am reading it regularly.

thank you! thank you!
i live to entertain.;)
it is about American Indian. when i'd first added it to tbr, i thought it would be something like indian in the cupboard but... No, i won't recommend it even if you want to read about american Indians.

(new)
here after a month. so here is what i have been reading
September
Death's End - Finale of the trilogy and loved it to pieces. there were times where author used high scientific terms but other things made up for that. a full five stars from me.
Pride and Prejudice - Reco'ed by Syl. loved the tv show but somehow ended up loving the book more. Again a five stat.
The Shipping News - picked as its a pulitzer winner and BRed with Syl. Writing was lovely but it dragged at places and i didn't like the end. three stars.
Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda - picked this one for my debut book challenge. a cute book, that's all. didn't find anything extraordinary. three stars.
In Bed with a Highlander - Nope. one star.
Midnight Mass - Akshay's recommendation and was gathering dust on my tbr from last two years. started really good and scary but second half was dull for my liking. three stars.
Children of the Night - another of his recommendation which I BRed with Syl. loved the first half but second was slow and characters became boring. She has the same opinion. :( three stars.
-October-
Dandelion Wine - Sreyas's recommendation. one of my favorite genre i.e. coming of age. loved it. four stars.
More Than This - was looking for some college romance on weekend. ended up with this. three stars.
that's all for now.

this is what i read in October and November.
Dead Until Dark, Living Dead in Dallas, Club Dead, Dead as a Doornail, Definitely Dead, Dead to the world - Read first six books in Sookie Stackhouse. A decent UF. Will continue the series. books can be read as stand alone as there is not any bigger story arc.
Gone, Baby, Gone - Lehane at his best. it was a "on the edge of your seat" kind of book for me. Highly recommended.
Three Day Road - A book by Joseph Boyden and it talk about two Indian boys in WWI. A decent read. I was a bit disappointed. I had high hopes from this one.
Ruthless King & Defiant Queen - by Meghan March. Mafia King and his obsession with a woman. second book was better than first. don't know if I will read the finale.
The Caine Mutiny - Pulitzer winner and I loved this book.
The Way of Kings & Words of Radiance - its SA!! do i have to say more?
Dirty Filthy Rich Men & Dirty Filthy Rich Love - Decent romance reads but OTT at times.
Train to Pakistan - Harry's reco to me. took three months to finally pick this one but I enjoyed it very much but it also left me sad.
Love Hacked - Reread and I laughed out loud. Not a single dull moment.
Have read 125 books so far. *pats self*

Nice you liked Train to Pakistan.
Adding to my TBR, Lehane's Gone baby gone
Quite a load of book munching!
Whats with the "Dead" in so many titles? same series?
GBGone - loved the film. Will read the book once the film fades away from conscience.
Any specific series or titles planned for Dec?
Congrats for the 125* (...and counting) Manu.

yup it's Sookie Stackhouse series. have vampires (also many more paranormal races) in it but "dead" mostly signifies vampires. remember True Blood? this series is the inspiration.
do film do justice to (view spoiler) . reading it gave me goosebumps. was very disturbing.
"must finish idiot, Count, DC, and EoE", that's the December plan.

Why why why is it not possible to "like" this? If i could I'd like it three times and then ask everyone I chat with to come and like it....

We could even turn Broken Earth into an FBR, if they'll let us, and it'll count for 1.5x points.
But you'll be wanting to do those before December, no?

*dobby face*
@Manu...I keep a physical reading log. In one of those little flippy moleskines.

Quite disturbing part. Whether the film did justice or not? I don't know. Will have to read the book someday to compare.
