Bram | 115 comments I added a new edition of this book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2....

Please review and combine this with the original.

What's strange is that in the dutch translation the book is number 3 in the series while the original is number 5. Please check if I added the series information correctly.

Thanks

Bram

Bram | 115 comments You can see the cover of this book at http://www.boekenworm.eu/the-x-files-....
I'm not sure if that's a legal source to add it to goodreads though.

Z-squared | 8575 comments Sometimes translated series aren't divvied up the same way as the original. Not sure what you want me to do...? I can set up separate Dutch version of the series, if you can provide me links to the Dutch editions in the order they appeared.

Bram | 115 comments I'm asking because I don't know what the rules/common practice are on goodreads.

In any case the series is as follows: BTW you can get the book cover from the amazon links as well.

1: The X-Files 01: Wij zijn niet Alleen http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-01-zi...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

2: The X-Files 02: De Avond Valt http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-02-Av...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

3: The X-Files 03: Circus van Terreur http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-03-Ci...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

4: The X-Files 04: Schimmen http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-04-Sc...

5: The X-Files 05: Prooi http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-05-Pr...

6: The X-Files 06: Tooms http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-06-To...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

7: The X-Files 07: Angst http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Files-07-An...

I still need to add 5 en 6, I don't own 7.

Thanks

Z-squared | 8575 comments It's my understanding that we don't duplicate series listings for other language editions UNLESS the series order changed/editions were split differently in the translated version of the series. So if the Dutch editions were released in a different order, I can make a Dutch-specific series listing. But regardless, the translations will be combined with their English counterpart.

Bram | 115 comments OK, that sounds good, thanks.

I'll only post requests to combine the other two books with their English counterparts then without referring to the series.

message 8: by Z-squared (new)

Z-squared | 8575 comments Uploaded the covers for issues 1-5. For the series, is there a Dutch name these go by? The English series for these is "The X-Files: Middle Grade ".

message 9: by Bram (new) - added it

Bram | 115 comments As far as I can tell it is just "The X files".

Z-squared | 8575 comments hrmph. that's awfully confusing. maybe it's better not to add the series then... :/

Oh, really? I though we were just adding them as book 1 part 1 of X and so on, so that at least one page will contain all books. At least that is what I have been doing instead of setting up more series.

Why are the series called middle grade? Shouldn't that information be in the description?

These aren't divided in parts; they are published in a different order.
