There's also a march on/in London (and I'm really sad I can't attend!)

They even have a Twitter account:
https://twitter.com/womensmarchlon?la...
And a facebool event:

As well as Austria (Vienna), Germany (Berlin), I guess more or less the world over!
We need to get the news to the people so that they can join as well.
There's also a list of all the links to the States' pages.

would be nice though if people with, say, large followings would step up to the front of the stage and make noise about this.

I write to every major news paper of Austria to inform them about it. Hopefully it helps!
There are also many in Canady, one in Switzerland...
Facebook is a great source for everything related to that!

Thanks:) The FPÖ always speaks of the demonstrator profession. One of my colleagues replied that he wouldn't study if protesting was a job. He'd do it instantly. He's going to three different protests tomorrow:)

Wow, 620 cities is really A LOT! That's more than countries exist in the world. Wow, I'm mind-blown.
1,5 million people is so much, I'm so mind-blown!

Everyone (including myself) has the ability to point out the problem(s), but never come up with solution(s).

I really really want to comment on this but then I will just be seen as a troll.

I definitely need to check it out too. Maybe I can adapt it to Austria, Europe:)

How effective is "writing your Senator"?
536,000 Facebook page likes for "Women's March"
235.000,000 eligible voters in the US
If all 536K wrote their respective congressperson(s): That's two tenths of a percent of the voting population.
How could we (general "we") increase those numbers?
I worry that historians (if our species does not go extinct) will look back uopn this as the great 2017 photo-op rebellion.

We in Austria don't have this close relationship to our representatives, but I will still write some of them, in order to make them aware of our issues.

The "write your politician" campaigns have an (unintentional) implicit bias that not many people do.
Will those politicians read any of those letters?

In Austria they're not really used to personal letters, more letters to the editor. So, although they might not read them personally, I'm quite sure that whoever reads them will report content and numbers.

Could there be supporting local events?
How do do this, if at all possible?
How to keep this, if it "takes off", going past January 21st?
Why does it have to be on the 21st? Why not break the rules and do it on the 29th?
