Well, Trump is taking office on January, 20th. So it kinda makes sense to put the Women's March on Washington on 21st.There's also a march on/in London (and I'm really sad I can't attend!)
I live in Oklahoma, and there is a local women's march in Oklahoma City on that day for those of us that can't make it to D.C. I think many states are doing the same thing, hopefully all of them! That's exciting to hear there is one in London as well!

Nice to here that there are satilite events occurring in other cities.would be nice though if people with, say, large followings would step up to the front of the stage and make noise about this.

Sorry, it wasn't 620 cities, but it were 370 marches, which is still unbelievable.
Adam, I can agree with the frustrating question of "OK, now what"? It was a wonderful experience to participate in the March in Philadelphia with my daughter. Now, what to do with the energy and resolve? No sweeping gestures here. Write, call everyday! Stay informed, connect with others near you. Get out of the comfort zone. Getting together with a few people locally is my plan. I have no agenda in mind, no idea who exactly I will mention this to, but I figure, we're out there, muddling around in our isolation, thinking we are the only ones flipping out over the state of our country. All those people in the streets. We are not alone. I would actually like to hear your comments. I've noticed that sometimes you are quite civil and appreciate your thoughts over when you ,(and others) just post links. I learn from the links, and like to here how the sender thought about it.

@ Judy: Please do go on, meeting others who are concerned with your new govermnent. Don't stay alone, it will make me and a lot others more feel less alone and helpless about what is happening in the US (I am living in Europe, but what happens in USA influences our lives). Look at one oft the first ding the Trump government did: Attacking the organization "planned parenthood". Taking funds away so that it can't help women abroad any more to abort if they can't find another solution. A bunch of men (or were women involved in this decision?) to decide on the way, women should use their bodies (have a child when they are pregnant, whatever their Situation or desire).

If all 536K wrote their respective congressperson(s): That's two tenths of a percent of the voting population.
How could we (general "we") increase those numbers?
I worry that historians (if our species does not go extinct) will look back uopn this as the great 2017 photo-op rebellion.

We in Austria don't have this close relationship to our representatives, but I will still write some of them, in order to make them aware of our issues.

The "write your politician" campaigns have an (unintentional) implicit bias that not many people do.
Will those politicians read any of those letters?

In Austria they're not really used to personal letters, more letters to the editor. So, although they might not read them personally, I'm quite sure that whoever reads them will report content and numbers.
