Grey reached up and rested a hand on the nape of his neck, toying with the ends of his hair. He toyed with Holt's lip, teasing and nipping at at it playfully before he pulled away.

((Just curious, how do you want his parents to find out? I had an idea unless you have a clear idea/way for how you want this to go.))

He blinked, looking down at the ground. He nodded, starting to get himself up. "Yeah... Yeah..." He said, standing up slowly, having to steady himself right away. He pocketed his phone, his hands shaking. She couldn't die on him, she couldn't be that hurt... She had to be fine. She would be fine. They said that she was stable right now! "She'll be fine, Holt... She'll be fine..." He whispered, his voice cracking.

Grey paused, dropping the keys on the couch and raised on hand to his boyfriend's cheek. "She'll be okay. She may be hurt but that's it. Nikki is gonna be alright," he assured him even though he didn't know himself. He was just trying to make his boyfriend feel better. Grey pushed on his tiptoes a bit, raising up to press a soft, quick kiss on his lips before dropping back down. "Let's go," he told him, leaning down to grab the keys once more. "Holt, which hospital are they at?" Grey asked again as he lead him upstairs to leave the house. He couldn't exactly drive them if he didn't know where they needed to go. "Mom, Dad! We're leaving. Holt's sister is in the hospital. I'm driving him," he called out, letting them know so they at least didn't worry about them.

He shook as he looked up down at him. He nodded to him, kissing him back, but it was weak this time. Not because he didn't want to kiss him, but because of the worry. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. He nodded and started going with him, using the railing to help him up it. He felt like he was going to throw up, and hearing Grey say that she was in the hospital was really hammering it into his head that this was real... She was really... really hurt... "The... The North one... The... Big brown one..."

Grey went out to his car with him and unlocked the doors and opening the passenger side. "Here. Get in," he said, closing the door once he was settled in his seat. Grey jogged around to the other side and slid into the front seat. He quickly buckled and started the car. He didn't say much as he began to drive to the hospital. Thankfully they were at the hospital closer to his house, it was only a 10 minute drive. St every red light he hit, Grey became increasingly more anxious and angry at the slow drivers in front of him. When they finally arrived, Grey got out and ushered Holt into the hospital. Holt's parents were already there, sitting in two seats close to the reception desk. He took Holt over to him, careful even then not to hold his hand or do anything he normally would whenever they were alone. Grey sat down after watching Holt lower himself into a chair beside his parents.

Holt was silent the entire trip, his eyes cast to the phone that shook in his hand. He was reading through text messages that he had sent to Nikki, then her response to them. Most of them were asking one another to cover for them, funny jokes, or the two just talking about whatever when they were in classes.... He frowned deeply, putting the phone to his forehead, his hand gripping onto it.
When they got to the hospital he didn't need to be told twice to go. He rushed into the hospital with Grey in tow. He said nothing really at first until he saw that his parents were sitting with one another, his mother crying into his father's chest and his father looked pale, much like Holt. He sat down with them, "She's... in surgery?" He asked.
The father nodded, "Yes... They said that... she's doing better.... They're finishing up stitching apparently."

Grey moved his hand, settling it back in his lap and turning his attention to the tiles on the floor. His eyes trailed around, filling the scratch marks that had been made over the years by a myriad of things. After a while, he heard footsteps and looked up to see a doctor nor nurse walking towards them.
"Ma'am, sir, I'm Dr. Stile. I'm the one who oversaw the surgeries on you daughter to make sure everything went as it was supposed to. I'm happy to say that it did. Right now, your daughter is in the ICU and it's gonna be a little while yet before you can see her as she has not come out of the sedative yet. I do encourage you to go home and eat, get some rest so you are ready for when we can allow up to her room," the man said, crossing his hands behind himself.

As he spoke, Grey couldn't stand seeing his boyfriend in such pain and not be able to do anything about it. He quietly stood from his seat, trying not to draw anyone's attention but he imagined he failed, and walked from the waiting room to outside the building. The doors sliding open and closed as he went. Grey just wanted to have the freedom to hold Holt and pay attention to him so he could try to soothe him as much as one could in such a situation. He moved out of site of the glass doors and ran his hands through his hair. He felt like there was nothing he could do. Nothing. Grey wanted to show his support for Holt in the way he knew to but because his parents had this awful disposition towards gay people, there was nothing he could do. They barely liked him as it was.

His father looked at his son, putting his hand on his back, "We're all worried about her. She's going to be alright..." He said. "I think the doctor is right, and we should head home, get some rest and to eat..." He said. His father, though, wouldn't have normally have left. He was doing this for his son. He didn't want the boy to be stuck here and worrying, he wanted him to be able to relax, to rest... He didn't want him too stressed out.
Holt looked over, shaking his head, "You two... you two can go... I'm gonna stay right here until they let me in." He said, pointing to the ground. "You two go... Um... Can you bring me back something when you come back?" He asked, looking at his dad.
His mother smiled softly, taking her son's hand. "Yeah, we can." She said. "We'll be back in a few hours...."

(( When do we wanna start the drama? Like Holt's parents finding out?))
