Edited to add: Layout is a work in progress, but I've realized I can't get a good feel for it until i have more reviews up.

I just commented on your New Orleans post, and the date/time stamp says that today is the 7th instead of the 6th !?!

ROFL I guess some silly site admin might have neglected to change the time zone in the wordpress settings... I'll go have a word with me about that. :D

I think once I have more reviews, I'm going to have the "recent" slider at the top be reviews only, and have other recent posts in a small text list widget, as they will be far less frequent. That way I don't have to sort out an image for non-reviews to make them look good in the slider.

For every book I read, relate one of the characters or events to one of my friends on Goodreads. :P One point per book.
...
Don't be Captain Ahab, don't be Captain Ahab...

Like there's any risk of me actually reading that... :P

Only squeezed 8 points out of this one.

Nice one! :D
I particularly like the "Friend or Foe" bit ;D

Yup, one long-since recovering, the other getting sober for the plot.

You know, it wasn't until after I posted on the blog that I thought, here we have two known alcoholics, and a bunch of others who go "life sucks, let's drink". I mean, the two alcoholics weren't at the party, but still... LOL

(((Hugs)))

Of course, with my reading speed being what it is these days, it'll be a week or more before I finish the next one so I've got time before I run into a backlog situation. :D

If I see another TV commercial for some stupid romantic bullshit I'm gonna scream.
I might be a bit bitter at the moment. Sorry.
*sigh*

I share your feelings, though the TV commercials in the Netherlands aren't bad I've been getting very annoying with crafting websites and stores that have been offering mostly pink and flowery stuff for the past month or so.

That's true, two weeks ago they started selling Easter eggs, six weeks before Easter. More and more big stores open their Christmas department in late August.
By the time the actual holiday comes around you're already sick and tired of it.

The party will be bare because spending no funds. So, no chasers, just liquor (cause we keep that stocked). No snacks but yall can totally read my book spines.
But don't touch!

*nods*
Great, isn't it?

One book down, and YOU are the 100th post! :D
I'm in the process of moving the blog to a hosted version, rather than free. Everything is being moved, including comments, etc. so it'll just be a slight URL change. Those of you who already had an approved comment might need to have one approved again after the switch, but everything else should be about the same.
Except the look. I'm currently trying to settle on a theme. It ain't easy.
