LOL.... I act as if casual Vacancy is my brainchild.. Am astonished that Aparna and Rebecca too aren't finding it impressive. :/
Vegetarian. .. I don't know whether I liked it or hated it. It was gross. :P

:O awesome !. Good going Gorab on the reading spree :)

I can join you for 'Banarash Talkies ' let me know when ever you are picking that up :)

Hope February stays the same. Am sure that you will reach your 50K mark and maybe go even beyond that! :)

Hmmm ok. I'll surely give GoT a try on your word.

17. Dozakhnama : Jab Manto Hue Ghalib se RuBuRu - More than 5! ✪✪✪✪✪+
18. The Vegetarian - ★★★☆☆
A bit late to start the Feb journey. Very delighted to find the 3rd five star of this year already :)

Feeling punished for the greediness. Over indulged by buddy reads, some of the parallel reads I'm not enjoying. So pushing them off the plate (not abandoning yet)
Idiot - At 50%. Will pick it only after clearing more than a couple from CR.
Casual Vacancy - 20%. Parking for later (don't know when!)
India After Gandhi - 20%. Sipping 15-20 pages every day. This will be a long term read which I'm immensely enjoying.
Pride n Prejudice - 10%. Not possible to read on coffee breaks. Needs more focus. Don't want to spoil it so will pick in a week with dedicated time.
Night Train at Deoli - 50% - Perfect coffee break read. A couple of stories a day. Enjoying the variety.
Me Before You - 25%. Wanted to read a sarcastic character and Will fits the bill pretty well. Liking it. Will be finishing within this week.
Storied Life of AJ Fikry - Supposed to be last weekend's read. At 50%. This is an easy pick among the intense ones and would be done before the next weekend hopefully.
Mandra - With all the current reads, thought I'll not pick another one. And yet picked this tome bcoz of the indulging buddy read weakness! And to my surpise this forms the spearhead of current reads. Reading for 30-45 mins at night and intend to continue reading this at bed time.
So no books finished this week. Feeling clogged by Idiot, CV and PnP. Will clear off the rest before picking any new.
Request : Plz spare this poor soul and don't tease me with any more BRs for a couple of weeks -____-

ROFL... I know that feeling
Have experienced it often. :D :P

Ha ha....I feel you, boy. I'm in the same situation. Clearing them out one by one.
Everytime I decide that I would never ever EVER fall in such situations. (Like ever :p) But due to some satanic forces or whatever, I always end up in such situations. Life is hard xD

haha. Empathize with your request! that is generally a standing instruction for me :p Quoting Wilde "I can resist anything but temptation" :)
19. Terms and Conditions Apply - ★★☆☆☆
20. The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry - ★★★★+
21. Mister Wonderful: A Love Story - ★★★☆☆
22. Mandra - ★★★★+
This week was mostly dedicated to Mandra, enjoyed reading every bit of it at the same pace with IncRead. Would surely love to read more by Bhyrappa (Aavarna next target)... and Parva if I can get my hands on it anytime.

Mr. Wonderful seems interesting, but the fact that its a graphic novel is making me hesitant to pursue it.
IncRead wrote: "Same pinch... reg. Mandra.
For Parva, call me for a BR.. whenever you start."
Only if I find the book anywhere. Will have to try physical bookstores.
IncRead wrote: "Mr. Wonderful seems interesting, but the fact that its a graphic novel is making me hesitant to pursue it."
Not recommended if you're not comfortable with graphic novels. Half of the fun in this one was because of the vibrant colors and a good layout.

23. The Pedant in the Kitchen - ★★★☆☆
Personal Musings:
While picking this, didn't even know the meaning of the word Pedant. And now, it syncs in everywhere in my thoughts, except kitchen!
Example : Sometime back, pursued the thoughts on having a few tiny plants in the balcony... and so went to buy a couple of flower pots. And while picking the stuff from the nursery, I sincerely asked the seller boy - "What's the expiry date for this soil we are taking in the pots?"
The seller boy dismissed the question with laughter, thinking I was being funny and intentionally poking fun at him. Only wife knew I was serious (and stupid!). Pedant in gardening...
Pedant in childcare. If a couple of supplements have to be given to the baby with a 10 minutes gap, I literally use a timer every time to make it a precise 10 min gap.
Pedant in many such things.....
This book sparked quite a few lovely discussions, and many more fond memories. Didn't enjoy the book as much, but so glad to have picked it :)

I too mused upon my (non existent) pedantic tendencies. Ashamed to say, not even a single instance comes to mind.
#. A Perfect Day for Bananafish - ★★☆☆☆
Not counting it as a full book.
Was hunting for a small weekend read when Nine Stories came up. Thought I'll taste a story before recoing others. Disappointed.

I'm not attempting any tomes before June, or before clearing the currently reading tomes (whichever is earlier)

He promised me!! If he backs out, I will make sure that Iron Lady punishes her for this crime so unthinkable ;)

Idiot is on hold for me too and I am thinking of joining for CnP.
Yay! :D
Is this turning too dramatic? Hope it doesn't falls of like Idiot!
Whichever Idiot commits the crime of not liking CnP will be punished!

25. Banaras Talkies - ★★★☆☆
26. Coraline - ★★★☆☆
With these lighter reads in between (okay Coraline wasn't that light, but wasn't engaging enough), I want to read one book which serves some meaning and touches me to the core. (No Arpit, its not going to be CnP just yet)
hmmmm... CnP somewhere in June? Bcoz I do intend to finish Idiot before that. And unline Idiot, I'm planning to get a physical copy for CnP!
Dropping off from starting any buddy reads for a month. Except a few weekend reads. In the current ones, will continue India After Gandhi.
Will be indulging in experimental and contemporary Hindi titles of KU starting next week.... for a month.
