the Magical Dressmaking series is very good. I wish Melissa Bourbon would write a new series.

Glad to hear you are looking forward to reading our September reads, I have been looking for books that were not too expensive to get on kindle and I hope they are available at the library I did not check to see if they were at my library, but that does not mean they would be at everyone else's library.

I'm thinking the Anna Pigeon series by Nevada Barr would fit into this theme as well. What do you think? I'll have to check out your series. I'm from WV & we love our white water rafting :)

I agree with you on the early Anna Pigeon books, but at some point Nevada Barr turned really dark in that series, and I no longer consider them to be cozy mysteries. There's some really icky stuff in the later books.
.. and yes, West Virginia has some great whitewater rivers!

I agree!!! I just read one that I didn't care for at all!! I am not reading them in order so this must be a later book. It was called Hunting Season & it was very dark.
