SOLVED. Band Lead Singer doesn't realize girl wants a relationship. [s]

Book started with band lead singer and girl having just a sexual relationship for around 3 years. I think the girl's name was Vivian (not sure how Vivian was spelled). Vivian realizes that she wants love / actual relationship so she ends things with the guy. Also, the lead singer got arrogant and performed on stage a song that the rest of the band was not ready for, so he got kicked out of the band and was upset when he saw the rest of the band performing without him. Lead singer also missed Vivian.

I think it was part of a series?

Another scene I just remembered: I think once he argued with Vivian verbally, and he left the hotel room to cool off but when he returned Vivian left to stay at a friend's room.
