Thank you, Marlene! I really, really appreciate you taking the time to do this. It looks like #2 (Dark Ember) will be out sometime around summer. I was hoping for April but the story ended up more complex than I anticipated. Oops. :)

Hi Marlene :)Sorry this took me a bit! I'm currently traveling.
Book 2 (Dark Ember) is finished, but ... please don't hate me too much ... its release got pushed out until January 23, 2018. *cringe* I'm working with a publicist this round, and with the cover and editing I was going to be too close to October which would have caused some issues. January is the "better" release date ... the wait just sucks.
However!! I've started writing free short stories for my email subscribers. I will release them soon in multiple serials to fill up that time span. Dark Ember's cover teasers and whatnot will start popping up on my Goodreads blog, too (most likely September). I'm working on the final book now (Dark Cinders), and now that I've learned a lot, I hopefully won't mess up its release timing!
