Kota sat down very carefully next to Ash before looked at Thayer, who clearly seemed to be in a mood. She didn't at all like Jurnee. It made sense. The cheerleader was probably one of the biggest hitches in the world, but it's because she was insecure. That usually was the case, not that Kota knew of not what was happening inside Jurnee's head. Though, she could make things up to actually out into the girls mind. Elias rolled his eyes, but said nothing. He wasn't about to put himself out there. He needed to remain closed off to the group because he didn't want them to know everything. Even if one of them could actually hear his thoughts or whatever. It wasn't a big deal to him. He crossed his arms and leaned back against a wall, or a pretend wall. At this point… it didn't matter.
Nash on the other hand couldn't help but agree with Thayer. That Jurnee girl had become a major problem when she opened her mouth.
(Don't worry I am here friend!!)Thayer checked the time on her phone before looking around at their miserable bunch and sighed. "She's obviously going to be late, so let's just start without her," she insisted. The sooner they got this stupid meeting over with, the better. And maybe her day would be a little less Monday-ish if that cheerleader decided not to show up.
Asher shook his head, wiping his glasses off with the tail of his shirt. "Can't do that, Thayer the Slayer. We've got to have everyone here before we start discussing our super secret superhero stuff." He gave a nerdy grin and a flirty wink, and Thea almost threw her apple at him.
"Well if we don't hurry up and get this shit over with, you're going to miss your little nerd rally," she told him. She looked over at Nash with raised eyebrows, hoping he'd speak up. She knew he was probably the only one there on her side about this whole Jurnee thing.
Monroe chewed on her lip, her creative mind getting lost with the mysteriousness of desire as she watched Elias sit so distantly at the other table, half of her mind still paying attention to the topic at hand, though she'd already given her two cents, which apparently hadn't been worth much.
Nash ran his hand through his hair rather casually. He didn't want to seem like a Jack ass. But at this point, it didn't really matter to him. "Just start the damn meetings already." He said pointy. More than half of the people here anyways, had stuff they needed to get to doing. This was before school and they couldn't be late to first period. That was one of the rules anyhow. He glanced over to see Kota giving him a disappointed looked. "I am so sorry I am late!" Jurnee called out as she came running towards the table. Her short little legs barely carrying her far at all. She was so embarrassed by this. She ran like a little oopa loompa. And that couldn't have been more… just ugh.
(Sorry it's sort. I'm feel lazy. But when we get back into it. I'll be better.)
(Nah it's okay!! I get it :))Thayer's head hit the table with an audible smack and Aedan had to glance at her to make sure she didn't give herself a concussion. Her head was already pounding, but it was because of the damn high pitched voice of the girl who was screeching toward them like a pterodactyl.
Monroe scooted herself over, freeing herself from sitting beside Asher to pat the spot beside her and give Jurnee a pleasantly warm smile. "Don't worry about it. We haven't started," she assured her, giving Nash and Thea a disapproving look.
"Wonderful," Ash said, rubbing his hands together and smiling once Jurnee had joined them. He looked at the members of the group before saying, "Let's get started. What should we address first?" he asked, looking at Nash as if he had all the answers, and Aedan couldn't help but roll his eyes. The guy always wanted to play leader until it came with the actual responsibilities of being a leader.
Kota bit her lip. Did that just happen? Did Thayer just kill her brain cells before of the mere presence of the cheerleader? That must of been the case as the girl turned her attention else where. She wasn't going to say much at this point. No reason too. Nash gave a shrug of the shoulders. What was he even suppose to say? It was like. Lot of people just turned to him for this attention and he never seemed to understand why. He wasn't all that popular or anything… except for he kind of was. But back to what was happening in reality. They wanted him to answer and solve all of the problems.
"I think we should start training again." Jurnee found herself interrupting and starting in on the conversation. She knew thy Thayer hated her and Nash was mad because she didn't sleep with him. They didn't like her and that was fine.
Thea lifted her head off the table to look at Jurnee with a furrowed brow, but kept her mouth closed. She actually agreed with the idea. She'd almost forgotten she had... abilities until she got so pissed at her dad the other day she accidentally set his portfolio on fire. She hadn't done much with what she had. She'd been too busy. Monroe looked around at the quiet faces around the table before a light smile touched her soft, glossed lips and she raised her hand slightly. "I second that notion," she said formally, looking over at Jurnee once more before she looked over at everyone else at the table.
Ash glanced at Jurnee and then at Monroe once she spoke before he shook his head. "I don't agree. Training together again could end really badly. Especially with Aedan's bad temper." He was kidding, but Aedan didn't have much of a sense of humor, so when Asher bumped his shoulder, he sent a light shock through him.
"Don't touch me," he practically growled, and Ash pulled back since he had been shocked - literally - and then added, "I agree with Jurnee. We could all use it."
Monroe nodded happily, glad to see they were all starting to get along, however brief it might be. "Yeah, and it'll give us a chance to spend some quality time together."
Thayer was in until Monroe spoke up again, and with another dissatisfied groan, she shook her head. "Count me out."
"I didn't say we had to train together." Jurnee pointed out. As long as everyone worked on their abilities. It was kind of hard for Jurnee to control her's because she already had it pretty much figured out. If she broke a bone, give it 13.7 seconds and it would be healed again. If she was bleeding from slitting her own throat, give it 46.9 seconds and it would be healed again. Shot gun wound… healed… horizontal cuts, parallel to major blood vessel, some even penetrated; healed. She wouldn't want anyone to know that she had a slight obsession with killing herself. And even if it did mean she was brought right back. One day she was hoping that it would work. That she would finally be successful on it. "I'm not working on my abilities." Eli said seriously. He couldn't be near anyone because of how dangerous they were. Why on God's green planet would he put more people's lives in danger? Especially people he knew he had a soft spot for, despite their irritations. "Even if I don't hang out with you while I do it."
Kota looked at Monroe. That really shouldn't have come out of her mouth. Had she remained quiet, then everyone wouldn't have been frightened off with the idea of actually being a team. "We are a team though. We have to work together to keep people safe." Why was she even being nice? She could have been mega bitch too.
Monroe frowned, the sudden excitement of the idea of working together wearing off as quickly as it had shown up. "We all need it," she insisted with a frown, looking at Eli. She wasn't even sure why he was always here. She liked that he seemed to attempt to give this whole group thing a shot, but he couldn't do anything with his ability besides... well... kill people. Still, she hoped for his sake there was some loophole around that "immediate death" thing. "No, we don't," Thayer disagreed quickly, feeling like a stubborn child as she frowned down at her hands.
Ash rolled his eyes. Thea was always such a pessimist when it came to actually working together. That's the reason they were all there in a group after all. "Thea, can you be a team player for once in your life?"
She huffed out slowly but kept her horribly mean thoughts to herself. She heard a distant roll of thunder and was reminded her emotions directly affected her powers. She couldn't have the weather lady panicking now, so she sighed and said, "Fine." Her eyes landed on Jurnee as she said, "I think we need to do it together. If we're going to train, we'll all need to work together. It's the best way to get the best results." She gave a shrug and looked at everyone around the table.
Eli found himself looked right at Monroe. Why was she watching him? She never usually did. He glanced away, his eyes landing on his hands. "I'm not doing it." Not that they would be all too concerned about him not showing up. Even if he hadn't missed one meeting since they all started this weird group anyways. They wouldn't miss him. "Maybe we should work it to where only a few of us have to work with each other at a time?" Kota tried. Not everyone got together, clearly. And everyone's school schedule was different. So maybe if two or three people could get together and try their powers. Strengthen them and gather more control or something?
It was worth a shot.
Nash crossed his arms over his chest as he stared around the group of people before his eyes landed on Jurnee. "As long as I don't work with the cheerleader, than I am fine."
(Ahhh!! I wanna see that!)
(It's sooooo good man!!! I loved it!)Monroe looked away when Eli ducked his head, and frowned over at Nash. "Don't be so rude!" she said defensively. How could anyone be that heartless to the poor girl? It was so inexplicably rude and Monroe couldn't believe it.
Ash sighed but nodded his head. "Kota's right," he said, nodding towards her. "Since we obviously don't all get along, we can split up, join forces with people you do like, and work from there. Simple," he finished with a shrug, and Aedan just watched him. Of course he preferred working alone, but he also hated not trying things and just automatically hating them, so he decided he'd give it a shot. "Fine. Then you can split us up into teams, smartass," he said to Ash with a sly smirk, challenging him.
(Good! I'm going to have to to see if. And since I get paid tomorrow, I will have money to do such a thing! Yippy ki a!)Jurnee didn't even react. Nash was just pissy, because last year, instead of letting him rip off her clothes at prom, she told him to screw off and she walked all the way home in six inch high heels. Nobody was going to use her. Not. A. Single. Person. She wasn't going to be someone's little bitch and the ass couldn't handle it. Ever since that night, he treated her with this unnerving lack of respect. "Please, split us into appropriate groups." She commented, her eyes flickering over to Ash. She couldn't have felt more shitty if someone told her her cat died.
Nash would have slumped back if it weren't for the fact that the bench didn't have a back to it. "Sorry, that I can't deal with being around you."
"Don't be sorry."'Jurnee replied. "At least don't pretend you are sorry, when we all know damn straight that you aren't." She said with a toss of the hair pver her shoulder.
"Don't argue. It doesn't look good on either of you." Eli chinned in. Usually, his quiet self. Except for something about everyone being on this kind of funk… made him feel a lot better.
Kota chewed on her lip. At this point she wanted to leave. This was so inappropriate. Why were they fighting like this?
(So I was complaining to my boyfriend that I didn't have any lunch so he sent him mom over, who lives thirty minutes away, to bring me McDonalds, and then she packed me cookies and wrote me a cute note on them. I'm gonna marry this boy just because my in-laws will be heavenly)Monroe smiled lightly at what Elias said, but kept her eyes trained on the table so nobody saw the little joy that the boy's sarcastic comments gave her.
"Well," Asher started, nodding his head side to side as he pondered the options. "Since there's eight of us, we can either split it into two groups of four or four groups of two."
Thayer rolled her eyes and sighed. "Wow. It really took your brilliant mind to point that out for us," she stated sarcastically. She really didn't like Asher either. He was an arrogant bastard about how smart he was, and she hated how much of an asshole he was about it. He couldn't have simply been quietly proud of himself; he was almost like a direct clone of Sheldon Cooper.
Aedan started speaking before Ash could try to defend himself. "Let's just split it up into two groups. I don't trust you to try to pair us up. You'll try to turn it into a game of matchmaker." He couldn't help that his eyes landed right on Kota and shifted back to Ash, who's pale cheeks turned pink as he narrowed his eyes at Aedan.
"Fine," he said bitterly, doing everything he could to not make eye-contact with the girl across from him. "Since Nash and Slayer get along so well, you two can be in a group with myself and Kota. And then Monroe, Aedan, Elias and Jurnee can be together." It was totally obvious, his crush for Kota, and he would have done anything to trade for Jurnee so things didn't get more awkward, but the point of splitting them up was so Nash and Thea didn't gang up on the preppy blonde.
Monroe nodded brightly and looped her arm through Jurnee's. "Sounds perfect," she stated excitedly.
(Awww:) what a good boyfriend. :) and what good parents he has. Have you talked about getting married?)Jurnee was surprised when Monroe locked her arm around hers. She was just glad that she didn't have to be stuck with Thayer and Nash. The two would have ripped her to shreds. She looked at the others she would be partnered with. Hopefully they didn't hate her too much.
Nash glanced at Thayer. "Sounds good to me. Though…" he looked back at Ash. "I'm already pretty damn amazing." Okay, so, he was kind of very cocky.
Kota chewed on her lip, nudging Asher. He shouldn't have felt too nervous about everyone knowing what he was thinking. Basically, this time, she hadn't planted this illusion into someone's head. He came up with it all on his own and she couldn't have been more flattered. "So, we are superhero buddies now?"
Eli rolled his eyes. He stood up, and walked off without saying anything else. These kids.
(Frequently. He just got me promise ring, actually. So it's pretty official as of right now :) I love him to death man)"Yeah, whatever," Ash murmured and gave Nash a sneer before he pushed his glasses up that were sliding down his nose and gave Kota a nervous smile. He was like an elementary school kid when it came to girls; he got cute crushes and crazy butterflies and usually ended up writing notes and sticking them in their lockers. "Superhero buddies?" he repeated with a shaky laugh. "I haven't heard that one before."
Thea watched Eli stand up and took that as the cue to dismiss the meeting, so she got up as well, tucking her board under her arm as she started out of the courtyard and into the hallways towards her class. She wasn't looking forward to this whole team thing, and since she had that whole mood-affects-weather thing going for her, the late summer sun slowly disappeared behind a set of omniscient grey clouds that she tried to ignore how much gloomier they made her feel.
Aedan sighed once he felt the warmth of the sun disappear off his back, and looked up to see the looming clouds. "Great. You pissed what's-her-face off," he grumbled bitterly, gesturing to where Thayer had been sitting moments before she disappeared. He picked up his heavy war novel as he stood up, eyeing the sudden connection hesitantly between Monroe and Jurnee. He didn't realize they were close, but then again. Monroe seemed like she had the protective-big-sister personality.
(Ohh! I'm so freaking happy for you!! Congrats! :) )"Yeah," Kota mumbled before she too stood to her feet. She suddenly got this chill, that ran through her body. A cold breeze brushed across her skin. "I… need to get going. See ya later?" She offered. They didn't even have a scheduled time to meet again. But they would find time soon, wouldn't they?
"She's just an emotional bitch." Jurnee replied to Aedan. She wasn't quite sure why Thayer hated her so much. But it could be related to the fact she was a cheerleader? Yet again, it didn't make sense to her why. Jurnee didn't know. She didn't know at all.
(This will get more detailed!)
(Thank you friend!! And don't worry about the detail; it's okay. I've been RPing with you for ages now so I trust you!)"Which is awful when your emotions directly affect the weather," Aedan mumbled in reply as he looked up at the sky. He stood up once he felt the cold wind blow past them, and gave them all a nod before he disappeared back into the school. They hadn't accomplished much besides fighting and deciding they were going to have to work together at some point, but he was just grateful he was out of there and could escape in his history class.
Ash nodded as he stood up too, his head bobbing too many times as he looked at her with a smile. "Yeah, later," he repeated stupidly before shaking his head lightly, reminding himself not to sound like a complete moron, and added, "I'll message you all on Facebook or something so we can plan when to meet. Later," he finished, flashing one more smile before he stumbled grabbing his backpack and practically ran inside to class.
Monroe giggled lightly at Asher's reaction. "He's so cute," she said lightly, looking up at Kota. "Like a little brother cute. Like I just want to mess up his hair and pinch his cheeks. He's adorable."
(Well, I just love you!)Jurnee decided she couldn't stand being there much longer either. She gave Monroe a look before she took off for the building. She needed to change out of her work of clothes and into her uniform. She had a cheer thing later and she didn't want to be around people who didn't like her anyways.
Kota turned to Monroe. "He's nice." She mumbled. He was cute. But sometimes, he could be a real dick. He was super intelligent. But, that wasn't all that attracted her to him. She thought he was cute, and he definitely didn't irritate her as much as other guys. She just… he wouldn't like the real Dakota… well the real Jillian.
Monroe sighed as everyone seemed to disappear around her. She felt like, no matter how hard she tried, she simply couldn't get their small group to work together. There were only so many of them, and rationally for eight of them to be going to the same school was incredible, and they didn't seem to understand that. "I'll see you later, I guess," she murmured in return to Dakota before she flashed a cute smile and turned around, slinging her too expensive purse over her shoulder as she walked.
(It's when a group of ladies get together, eat, play a game and win prizes. It's pretty fun. And I was ze winner tonight! )
(Awesome! I started writing for the other rp. I still wanna do it. Unless… you do t want too? Which in fine with. Though, I am in love with our characters. You're like the only rp I have.)
