"A week or two, not long. At the time I had some family out there." Jesse said, watching as she ran a hand through her hair. He watched as more and more people came into the pool. The water rippled as someone dove in on the other side.

" Hmm, well alright then, looks like I wouldn't be needing to show you around," Paradise said.
Jesse smiled slightly. He looked around at everyone swimming. Some were playing catch and others were tanning on in the shallow end. "So, what do you want to do?"
Paradise shrugged, " What do you want to do?" Paradise asked.
Jesse reached for her camera and flicked it open carefully. "Here, do something artsy." He laughed lightly as he talked in a girly voice. He pushed himself away from the edge and easily treaded.
Paradise grinned and took her camera from him, she looked through the camera at him and smiled, she looked at him without the camera, " You are extremely photogenic," Paradise praised.
"Why thank you." Jesse said, flashing her a wink. He dove under the water and floated right under her. He waved his arms through the water, keeping himself below her.
Paradise laughed and put her camera under water, she snapped a picture of him and brought her camera up, she looked at the picture and smiled brightly.
Jesse swam up, making sure her legs were on either side of his head so she sat on his shoulders when he came up. He stepped to the shallow end so he could stand. "Can I see?" He asked, wiping the water away from his eyes.
Paradise squeaked when he did that, but she made sure she didn't fall as he went into the shallow end, she handed him her camera, " You are extremely photogenic," Paradise said.
Jesse made sure to keep one hand on her knee so she wouldn't fall as she passed him the camera. "You must be to." Jesse said, tilting the camera up towards her on selfie mod.
Paradise laughed, " No way, I'm not photogenic," Paradise said as she looked down a the camera, giving it a smile as she made a funny face.
Jesse grinned and snapped the photo. He laughed lightly as she looked at it. "Here. See, you aren't that bad." He laughed gently, handing up to her. Jesse looked to the side as he felt eyes on him. A guy sat on the pool edge and glared at him. Jesse raised his eyebrows but looked away from the unknown guy.
Paradise smiled and grabbed the camera, she examined the photo and smiled brightly, " I guess I'm self-conscious about my self," Paradise said with a laugh, " despite the fact I make YouTube videos for a living," Paradise said as she too fell eyes on her and noticed one of her friends glaring at her from the side of the pool, Paradise didn't bother wondering why her friend was looking her that way. " Hey guys!" Paradise suddenly said to the others, they turned, " Why don't we play volleyball? But the girls are on the guys shoulders?" Paradise asked, she looked down at Jesse, " Wanna play that?" Paradise asked as Alicia gleefully agreed to playing and helped the girl she's been talking to set up the net and find the ball.
"Yeah sure, sounds like fun." Jesse said, he walked further into the shallow end. "Just hope I don't drop you." Jesse said, leaning back and letting go of her knees for a second before wrapping his hands around her ankles so she wouldn't fall into the water. He watched as the girls found a guy and got onto their shoulders. He smiled, watching a few people jump in from the side lines to join in.
Paradise grinned, " Wait! Set my camera up and turn it on so I can film the game," Paradise said as people were talking and debating with who should be on what team and not, " Hey Love birds! Your on my team!" Eric called out to Jesse and Paradise.
Jesse grimaced hearing the word 'love brids'. He bent over by the edge of the pool and let Paradise set up the camera before pushing through the water towards Eric. Jesse was a big sports fan and liked playing sports all the time.
Eric grinned at them, " Play defense alright guys?" Eric asked Paradise and Jesse as the guy and girl that had been staring at Paradise and Jesse came over to Eric to ask for their position.
Jesse moved to the back of the court while the teams and positions were being made. He hummed lightly as he made his way through the water. "How's it going up there?" He asked, looking up the Paradise.
Paradise grinned, " Its all good up here, how's it going down there?" Paradise asked as she looked down at him.
Jesse shrugged, "Not bad. You don't weigh much." He smiled to himself, his mind wandering.
Paradise laughed, " Shall I take that as a compliment?" Paradise asked as the opposite team got ready to serve the ball.
"I would." Jesse said, moving to his position. "Try not to get hit in the face." Jesse laughed gently. The first person to serve hit the ball, it skimmed over the net.
Paradise laughed and hit the ball before it even reached over the net, almost smacking one of the guys on the face, " I played water volleyball when I was younger, I won't get hit," Paradise said.
"I've played it a few times before, but never with a girl on my shoulders." Jesse said, watching as the ball hit the water on the other teams side. They rotated and someone on their team served it over the net.
Paradise laughed, " Awe, I'm glad I'm the first girl that you've played this with on your shoulders," Paradise said as the ball was hit over the net and then hit back, to which came hurdling towards Paradise, whom smacked it hard back across the net.
Jesse rolled his eyes playfully but knew she wouldn't see it. He moved to the side as the ball came back across the net lightly.
Paradise grinned, and miscalculated her hit and her hand skimmed the ball, causing the ball to hit the water on their side, earning the other team a point.
Jesse looked up at her. "Am I a distraction." He asked, raising his eyebrow, like usual. He smirked as the other team got ready to serve again.
Paradise laughed, " Oh yeah, your the biggest distraction ever," Paradise said as she watched the other team.
Jesse smiled as the ball came over the net but to the other side. He watched as if flew to the other side and got hit back over the net towards them. It was spinning oddly fast.
Paradise saw the ball spinning oddly fast, she knew that wether she warned Jesse or not they'd move too slow and the ball would hit her square in the chest, so she didn't warn Jesse. Paradise raised her arm, making it look like she was going to hit it, but instead the ball hit her square in the chest.
Jesse had tried to move but when the ball hit Paradise it knocking him over. As he splashed into the water he let go of her legs so she wouldn't land on top of him.
Paradise felt herself drop and she gasped as she swam towards the surface a few moments after she landed in the water, everyone had stopped playing and hurried to where the two were. Paradise came up the surface struggling to breathe.
Jesse pushed himself to the surface and took a deep breath, catching his breath easily. He rubbed the water from his eyes and noticed everyone circling around. He looked to Paradise and saw her struggling to breath. "You alright?" He asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Paradise began relaxing and gained some of her breath back, she nodded to Jesse when he asked her if she was alright.
Jesse looked around and awkwardly took his hand from her shoulder. "Good." He said simply, everyone still watched them and Jesse tilted his head.
Eric shook his head, " Paradise you can sit out this game," Eric said suddenly as Paradise regained her breath again.
Jesse looked at Eric as he said this. "I guess I will to since it wouldn't be fair if I didn't have someone on my back." Jesse said, he moved towards the pool edge and pulled himself up onto it easily. He watched the crowd begin to move back to their spots and he waited for Paradise to join him.
Paradise swam to the edge and pushed her self up to sit beside Jesse, " I would have warned you about the ball, but I didn't think we'd be able to move in time," Paradise confessed.
Jesse looked over at Paradise. "It fine, really." He said, looking back to the game as their team served. "Who hit that ball anyway?" He grumbled, mostly to himself. He shook his head, water droplets flying from his spiked up hair. A few left over water droplets rolled down his toned arms and onto the pool edge.
Paradise tried to remember and frowned when she found out, " The girl with red hair, she's my best friend, or well used to," Paradise said,
Jesse searched for the girl with red hair and quickly found her. "Huh." He said, not wanting to pry at this point. "Doesn't look like she would have that kind of power." He laughed, watching the girl with red hair for a moment longer.
Paradise laughed, " She may look like she doesn't have that power, but just you wait," Paradise said softly.
Jesse watched the game, but everyone seemed to be moving slower. He splashed some water onto his legs and chest to cool off.
Paradise gave a small sigh and watched the game.
Jesse got to his feet. "I'm going to get dressed again, wanna come?" He asked, looking down at her as she watched the game. His eyes widened as he realized how that sounded. "I mean, get changed as well but in different rooms." Jesse said quickly, keeping his voice level. He laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.
Paradise laughed, " I knew what you meant," Paradise said with a smile as she stood up,she grabbed her camera and turned it off.
Jesse walked back into the house and grabbed his clothes. He flashed Paradise a small smile before walking to the wash room to change.
Paradise went up to Alicia's room.
