I was suspicious when he wouldn't give the FBI the information on the dumping ground unless they took him along. I figured he was somehow in communication with the killer.
I was surprised from the onset at how accommodating they were to his requests. When Maggie agreed to switch cars, I knew this was a deadly trip. His precise knowledge of that remote site should have set off alarms. Why they took off his leg shackles was a mystery to me. I can't believe this would have happened in real life.
