I LOVE LOVE LOVE Apocalyptic and Dystopian books! So much so that my favorite librarian and I are having major issues finding a series that I haven't read and suits my interest! My mission for everyone is to try and come up for a great series that is gripping and has a bit of romance to it! A few of my favorites are the series Razorland, As the World Dies and Chemical Garden!

An ember in the ashes and steelheart are two books (first in the series) that I love. Steelheart is dystopian and an ember in the ashes has romance. Although it isn't dystopian The Novice is good too. But trying to find dystopian books with romance is hard for me too.
Yes! An ember in the ashes series! It IS dystopian but also somewhat based on old Rome with a bit of romance and you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO.PUT THEM DOWN. These are awesome books - only 2 so far
I love the Article 5 Trilogy by Kristen Simmons! It's dystopian. And I'm currently reading her book, Metaltown, and so far I'm enjoying it... it's also dystopian (although it's not a series).
The Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole is more of a paranormal dystopia. So is Alexandra Bracken's The Darkest Minds, although you might want to get on that first since they already cast some of the characters for the tv series.I don't know if you prefer a more sci-fi vibe. The Insider duology by Maria V. Snyder is great for that. Scott Westerfeld's series Uglies actually initiated me to the genre. I personally loved The Host by Stephenie Meyer (even though I'm not a Twilight fan) and the movie version was really boring. Veronica Rossi wrote a series called Under The Never Sky. I absolutely loved the first book, but I think I'm over the genre because I haven't gotten around to reading the other books in the series.
And, of course, there's Kass Morgan's series on which the CW's The 100 is based, but I personally like the tv version better even though it feels a bit blasphemous for me to say that.
Hi! Might I recommend my YA dystopian Resistance Series? It's been called "eerily believable" by a Kirkus reviewer. Http://counteractbook.com. It's about Tommy and Careen, who meet during a terrorist attack, and discover a conspiracy that could destroy the country.
