Cleo has always been a free spirit even as a child, she never truly depended on anyone in particular and that independence is even more visible now as shes become older. She's the type of girl who always manages to get herself into some ridiculous situation with some form of authority and comes out the end smelling completely of roses, without the help of anyone including dear old mommy and daddy.

Though she doesn't have many close friends Cleo is definitely someone you want to be close to, she's deathly loyal and will do just about anything to make sure those she cares for are safe and sound and if you're not on the right side of her... Well it's best you just stay out of her way and don't draw attention to yourself because she's not the type to let things pass by silently and will come at you with all guns blazing.

Cleo finds herself using her gender to her advantage quite often and she's not ashamed of that, not at all. She's proud to be a woman and won't let anyone try and dismiss her because of the fact and the same comes with other women who attempt to shun her for embracing her femininely charms to get what she wants. She doesn't believe she's objectifying herself but she's simply using what she's got to manipulate the system.

If confronted Cleo's the first person to get angry and it's something she isn't proud of she hates to be so easily sparked. Though she tries her best to ignore the instant rage she gets it mostly slips out in ways she doesn't mean, be it her sharp voice or mean remarks. Normally within a few moments of calming down she immediately regrets what she's said but pride is what stops her apologising.

ʜɪsᴛᴏʀʏ

Cleo is the second born child to Nigel and Penelope LeBlanc, the former couple met when they were in university together. Nigel was studying politics in hopes to becoming the next president of the United States but that dream has currently come to a stand still once reaching senator, his former wife Penelope on the other hand was actually studying medicine when they first met so you can see they were both very well matched intellectually.

Nigel waited a year until after Penelope graduated before he popped the question to her, waiting for the opportune moment which turned out to be New Years Eve in the middle of times square, a romantic gesture that nobody knew Nigel was even capable of, but it was safe to say she agreed and with little to no time the pair were wed and settled easily into married life, though not quite how you would expect it. Instead of scheduling time to see each other for personal time they more likely to be scheduling time to help promote each other in their careers, after all nobody wants a failing spouse do they?

Two years into their odd little marriage was when Nigel's promoter came up with the idea that it was time for the pair to start their own little family, apparently it will boost his numbers in the opinion polls. Everyone likes a family man after all. So with little to no trying in around nine months little Nathaniel was born with the scream of a banshee that almost outshone his mothers.
Penelope decided after the birth of her son she would take a year out to be with him, she wanted to make sure he met all his mile stones with plenty of time to spare and sure enough he did, another little smarty pants in the family and life resumed as normal, even Nigel was home more often, a lure of a child can do that sometimes.

Then three years later another pregnancy came and went and arrived Cleo, their little queen and finally their family was complete according to Nigel. Nathan adored his baby sister and Penelope had never been happier and Nigel's numbers had never been so high in the charts. Life continued for them all, everyone excelled in whatever they aimed for but life has a tendency to stall and that happened when Nathan was fourteen and Cleo ten, it had been an ordinary day like any other they had been out playing in the area when a joy riding teen had sped by, Nathan had seen the car coming and managed to shove his baby sister out the way but wasn't able to save himself.

Ambulances were called, tears were cried and hearts failed. Nathaniel succumbed to his injuries and in those final moments something changed in the whole family, Penelope blamed herself for not being a good enough surgeon to save her son. Nigel blamed himself for not being there, not being there to protect his child and Cleo blamed herself, for being in the way, he died trying to save her.

Time slowly passed on by and the family tried to adjust but it couldn't, something irreplaceable had been taken from them. Nigel went back to working long hours, Penelope too threw herself into her work to mask the pain which left Cleo alone in a empty home more often than not. It was in three years that Cleo's family finally disintegrated, divorce papers were written and the terms had been agreed. Nigel was now free to go live with his new girlfriend, Serena who had been a shoulder for him to cry on during the whole ordeal and from that stemmed a steamy relationship that also resulted in a surprise pregnancy.

Penelope retained custody of Cleo but that was simply because Nigel never requested anything in regards to her, weekly visitation was good enough in his eyes. This is when Cleo started acting up, she was sick of it. She was tired of becoming a second thought, inside she still ached for her big brother because she knew if he was here she would never been left alone like she was now.

She caused trouble, she went out to raise merry hell and damn the consequences, it meant attention off somebody after all and her parents would have to interact with one another despite the fact Nigel's second wedding planning was well underway. That's when they came to the conclusion, if you can't straighten her up at home, straighten her up at school.

So with that Cleo was pulled out of her school and dropped into Harrow High, her fee being paid fully by her father and she has remained here during term time for the past two years.

maximilian has always been a pretty boy, and he is well aware of the fact. he takes after his mother in the majority of his looks, with the exception of his hair and his height. maximilian's hair is black as pitch: the colour of onyx, or raven feathers, one of the reasons why 'corbeau' is one of his middlenames. he wears it cut either at medium length most of the time and its usual colour, although there have been some occasions where he's ventured and dyed it another colour, often platinum blonde. of course, it's always perfectly cut and perfectly styled because, if it wasn't, then maximilian would freak out. in contrast to his obsidian hair is the paleness of his skin: pearly white and alabaster. of course, he keeps that utterly flawless as well.

his facial features are nicely defined too without looking strange, simply something more that adds to his obvious looks. eyes are set just the right distance apart and an electric blue colour, usually ringed with thick black eyeliner to make the silvery blue stand out more. he has rather long eyelashes, which he quite likes to look through disdainfully whenever people bother him. he thinks it gives him a rather seductive look. maximilian has a long, straight nose which is very slightly turned up right at the end, adding to his generally fairly arrogant expression. usually his small, plump mouth can be found in a slight pout, as he’s rarely happy, and he’s often got a scowl on his face, with thin black eyebrows furrowed.

maximilian has taken the time and put in the effort to make sure that he can dress just the way he wishes to, and has therefore had his left ear pierced, with four small diamond studs riding up the side of his ear and a larger black and silver star on the lobe. his right ear is done far more simply, with simply four diamond studs: a small cluster of three at the top and one at the bottom. he also has three black diamonds beside his left eyebrow and a lip piercing. in addition to this, maximilian has gotten himself several tattoos, four to be exact. he has three loose raven feathers on his upper back and on the back of his neck, although this cannot normally be seen due to his haircut, is a simple arrow, as one would see in a bow and arrow, pointing straight downwards.

he’s a tall boy, too, standing at six foot two, and relatively skinny, although there is the hint of muscle showing, more defined in his arms and legs, from the few sports he actually does practise, these being archery, riding and fencing. maximilian dresses well, and he knows how to apply his make up to make himself look perfect as well, always making sure he has a perfect manicure and pedicure and haircut and pretty much everything else as well. maximilian always knows how to ensure perfection.

over the years, and mostly due to the manner in which he was raised, maximilian developed into what would be considered the perfect definition of a brat: expertly egotistical, spoiled past expiration, amazing at complaining, and overly assertive. you could pin it all down to the way he was raised if he didn't so actively seem to make an effort to ruin his reputation more and more. he's proven himself to be arrogant beyond belief half the time, arrogant and utterly entitled to top it off, and so clearly believes in the segregation of social classes that you might think he was born in the middle of the 18th century.

then again, he does have a much nicer side to him. he may seem sexist and cold at the worst of times, and that may be a part of the image he is happy to maintain for the public - everyone loves a bad boy - but he can be ridiculously charming when he wants to be. he's used to getting his way, and if he needs to turn on his seductiveness to get something, then he isn't afraid to flirt to get it. because there really is little he likes more than sex or just toying with someone a little. on dates, he certainly goes all out, and he really can be the most wonderful guy in the world if you're dating him and would certainly do most anything for you, even if he does have a streak of asshole in him in any relationship.

born to henriette amereaux, daughter of one of the wealthiest businessmen in france, billionaire henri amereaux, and richard denvers, us lawyer turned senator, maximilian was bestowed his greatness in name at the moment of his birth. it was almost immediately clear to him that he was perfection - his parents certainly didn't do anything to attempt to counteract this belief. his mother was quite wonderful at raising a quite perfectly spoiled little brat, as the case turned out, if this was affected by the fact that she felt it necessary to coddle the haemophiliac child one would never know. of course, generally, she was a fairly absent figure in his early childhood, leaving him to be raised up until the age of five in their paris estate by a set of nannies that rotated out and were fired as often as he could come up with reasons to get them fired. they shouldn't really have let a child become that manipulative at such a young age, but supposedly they knew exactly what they were doing.

around the age of six, the denvers family transferred over to the united states so that maximilian's father could work on his political career. they moved down to california for the next few years, living in a large italianate villa in beverly hills. maximilian was, for the first time in his life, sent to an actual school, which he almost immediately loathed. he wasn't bad at gaining people's respect: there was a certain something about him that immediately made most of the other students like him, or at least seem to like him - be it his wealth or his assertiveness. he was never afraid of buying himself friends if he needed to do so.

over the following few years, he grew more used to living in the us. it wasn't france, but with everyone in his household speaking french to one another and not much of his general lifestyle really changing outside of school existing. he spent most of the first few teenage years sleeping around, throwing parties and generally attempting to see how reckless an activity he could take part in and have his father pay to erase. he got expelled three times, knocked up a girl and nearly ended up in a car crash. there were two thing particularly important changes to his life at this point.

firstly, maximilian started an almost pointless hobby of collecting cars. pointless, yet expensive and extravagant and therefore utterly perfect. secondly, and more importantly, he started to develop a proper interest in actually studying music. up until that point, his mother had made him take lessons in piano and violin and harp, but just before he entered high school was when he himself started composing and growing more interested in the music as well. whilst his father had dreams of his child going to harvard, the same university he'd once gone to, maximilian had other things on his mind, feeling much more as though he should pursue the musical career he wanted, and started to distance himself somewhat from his family's ways. he might have once been their perfect child to show off to all of their friends and dinner parties, but now he wanted something a little more different.

the solution to this - for his father, anyway - was boarding school. after all, when does boarding school not fix the child who's gone awry? so, of course, his parents made some arrangements and he was sent to harrow high to try and 'fix him'. it hasn't really worked.

Akil loves music, photography, painting, acting, dancing... any kind of art. He's also incredibly smart -- he got a full scholarship -- and the only reason he hasn't skipped years is because he thinks it's unnecessary. But first and foremost, he is musical. Music, to him, is so much more than just a series of sounds arranged in different ways. It's a form of expression so much more effective than plain speech, the way it can convey emotion and mood so clearly and brilliantly.
He's not the kind of guy you'd expect to find sitting in a chamber orchestra wearing black, but he does actually play cello in one, when they can't find any adult players who have the time. He also plays timpani and double bass, preferring lower-sounding, less typical instruments.

Akil Sinclair was born into an averagely poor family, in an averagely poor suburb of an averagely poor town. It had been argued by many people at many different times that when Harrow High accepted his scholarship that they were metaphorically scraping the bottom of the metaphorical barrel. But the prestigious academy had legitimate reasons. Although his single father worked full time and still barely managed to pay the bills at the end of each month, he somehow managed to enrol his already exceptionally bright children (all three of them) into a reasonably good private school. Akil won a scholarship for middle school, making them able to afford to send the other two to the same school.
Then, in year eight, he sat a test and applied for a scholarship to Harrow High. He got in, much to his surprise, and eventually decided to attend, vowing to keep his scholarship and get into university so that he could help his family.

Raised on the pretenses that reputations meant everything, Sutton has done her best to uphold hers. Known for being a math genius of sorts, Sutton excels in the facts. When things are laid out for her to solve in an orderly manner, she's unparalleled. However, veer her off that path and she's shaken. This is shown through her constant struggle with subjects such as English in which laterally is key. This could be a manifestation of a slight dyslexia that was knowingly ignored by her parents, but that's all up to speculation.

Most never get too close to the enigmatic Sutton Kavari. She's her own force, too powerful to ignore, but too intimidating to approach. She can easily make friends and turn on a charismatic smile when the situation calls for it, but her closed off nature and quick temper scare many off. Regardless, she's a natural born leader and takes charge quickly and effectively. Her outspoken and brash nature may seem off-putting in context, but coupled with her dry humor and sharp wit, it's a force to be reckoned with.

Albeit the fact that one could generally summarize her, it's quite difficult to actually define Sutton. Of course inside she just desperately wants to be accepted and loved, but her experience with abandonment has led her to close herself off to the possibilities of affection. Instead, she hides her vulnerability with a cold indifference to the rumors of her promiscuity and arrogance. To disguise the hurt she feels, she embraces those fabrications and pretends they are genuinely a part of her character. Truly, truly get to know her, and you'll find Sutton to be caring, sweet, and sensitive beyond words.

As for what she really likes and dislikes in this world? Sutton has a soft spot for freshmen and just children in general. Whether it's out of sheer amusement or an authentic liking, they're the people she finds she can tolerate the best. Her dislikes are encompassed in three simple categories: her father, English, and spiders-- all horrid things.

Born with a quite literal silver spoon in her mouth, Sutton's upbringing has been nothing short of a fairy tale. From her birth, her devote mother cut no expense to make sure her precious babe was adorned with only the finest of things. However, a mother's excessive love, no matter how great, cannot make up for a father's absence. In a fashion cliché to almost every wealthy daughter's sob story, Sutton's father was an absolute asshole. He was the primary share-holder of the fifth largest pharmaceutical and packaged goods manufacturer in the world. For comparison, the owner of Johnson & Johnson, the sixth largest, net worths at thirty billion dollars. A man of science through and through, Sutton's father could not believe his field had failed him; he had done extensive work to guarantee a son and instead, was given a daughter. Shortly after, it was revealed he wasn't a viable source to make another child-- Sutton would be his first and last.

The poor girl suffered for his infertility in ways only a spoiled, rich kid could suffer. He was constantly gone, always traveling overseas as to not have to come home to his one and only mistake. Often times, he'd fly Sutton's mother-- whom he still loved dearly-- out with him, thus leaving their child to be attended by a slew of nannies and staff. Surrounded by nothing but inanimate toys and pitying maids and caretakers, Sutton often flew into unexplained fits of rage, injuring more than one staff member during her temper tantrums. She was labeled troubled and hyperactive by various doctors-- although labeling the plight did nothing to solve it. The anger-fueled tantrums evolved into rebellious recklessness as Sutton turned into a teenager and soon she was indifferent to her father's abandonment. To her, he was just a placeholder to upkeep familial appearances, and not a true father figure. To compensate for her hatred towards one parent, she dedicated herself to making her mother happy. It was quite obvious Mrs. Kavari loved her greatly and Sutton clung to that love for dear life.

Her years at Harrow have been a mixture of working hard most of the time to make her mother proud, slacking off occasionally to piss her father off, and hiding her burgeoning sexuality from her parents and peers alike.

From the moment Tahira was born, it was obvious that her mother simply had no maternally love left to give to her. Tahira supposes the only reason she didn't get rid of her sooner was because of her father ─ some faceless, nameless man in Tahira's book ─ had stayed around for a few years, just long enough to give Tahira a brother. Shortly after her father's departure, however, it seemed her mother had had enough of anything to do with him ─ and that included Tahira and Akeem.

Tahira stayed at the orphanage for six years, four longer than her brother. She pleaded to go with him when he had first been adopted but no-one would listen to her; she was 'too old' is what the couple that adopted Akeem said. After that, Tahira lost a lot of herself and didn't regain her true spirit til she was adopted at eleven years old by the Montgomerys. They gave her everything she could ask for, everything except her brother. It was under their love and care that Tahira was able to bloom, growing into a young girl with determination in her veins and passion in her heart.

Eventually, Tahira found herself at Harrow High, the school Mrs. Montgomery attended when she was a girl. The prospect of going had been terrifying; after all, if she was still living her old life, she would never have been able to attend such a prestigious school. But despite her averageness when it comes to academics, the Montgomerys were set on their decision. Tahira went and her stubbornness can be felt every time a teacher tries to shut her down, or every time a boy thinks he's entitled. So maybe she would never have gotten the chance, but maybe she's exactly where she needs to be.

THE FIRST WIFE WAS THE FIRST LOVE. And the only love. It was the only time that Ronan Miles Kingsley the Second had ever felt true love. He loved her like he loved no other, and she loved him too. Together they were in love, doing everything all couples wish to do when they're in love. And then, there was a third Ronan. And a second person Ronan loved. Eleanor and Miles—he figured it would be easier to go by his middle name as to not confuse everyone—loved their little boy the way all children wanted to be loved, and their family was perfect. At least, for a little while, it was.

Ronan was seven when his mother died. Six months later his father remarried, and things all went to hell. Eleanor was killed by an incurable illness, the kind that snoops up on the healthy and good and takes the life out of them for no reason at all. Ronan still remembers sitting with her and his father, their last moment as a family. He was sitting quietly, listening to what would be his parent's last conversation. And then she slipped away into the night.

The following wives tried to fill the void, but none would ever beat Eleanor, and both Ronan's knew that. But Miles couldn't stand the lonely feeling, so he tried to keep himself busy with the women. Ronan can't stand the loneliness so he takes photos, capturing life and holding it close to him. He hopes to take a perfect photograph one day, even though he knows he already has. It was a photo of his mother, one that he had taken with his mother's camera when times had been better.

Ronan grew up trying to ignore the wives and his father, along with people at school because they were all annoying. He ended up shutting everyone out and putting himself alone, but he didn't mind. Angela would like to think she's always right, but sadly she's not that smart. Don't get me wrong, she's smart, very much so, but in a practical and mathematical way. She's the sort of person who doesn't get straight A's solely because of some stupid, useless subject like English. She's got skill where it counts -- Maths is her best subject.
Angela is quite clearly a computer person. She spends hours on end trying to code incredibly complex stuff that often proves to be impossible -- with the script she's using, anyway. She's also incredibly good at building things. Need a model made for any reason? She's the person to go to. And unlike her family, she doesn't put a price on her help (as long as you provide the materials).
Speaking of her family, Angela's always had a lot to live up to. Her father is an accountant and her mother is an optometrist, and both earn a hell of a lot of money. Her elder brothers both graduated from Harrow as captains and also Dux, and her cousin Liana consistently beats Angela in everything except STEM -- mostly because she avoids it as much as possible. She's more ladylike, attractive, good at English and History, and can hold conversation without sounding like a fool. Fortunately Liana doesn't go to Harrow High, so her unbearable skill is not flaunted for most of the year.

Angela grew up in a family where 'your best' was perfection and a C grade was considered a failure. Even in primary school, there was massive pressure for her to be perfect, to achieve straight A's every year. But, being human -- and thus intrinsically imperfect -- Angela did not get straight A's. She got consistent B's and C's in most areas, except for Maths.
Her whole life revolved around school. It will determine her future, after all. Her parents are more than rich enough to send her to an Ivy League university, but they'd prefer to spend their money on her spoilt younger brother. So she spent basically all of her life studying, trying to get better. In middle school, her grades dropped to C average, with D's in English and History. That was probably the thing that clued her parents in, but even them acknowledging that they'd been going too hard on her didn't really fix the problem. What did fix the problem was acknowledging that they'd caused her to get depression, and sending her to a counsellor.
When she was in her last year of middle school, Angela applied for a scholarship to Harrow High. She received a partial scholarship, with her parents paying half of the amount required.

so long lives this, and this gives life to thee | WHEN Caleb Luis Almeida was born, the first thing that was said was "If you name him after tu papito you won't get the inheritance." This was said by his grandmother, a tiny and fierce Cuban woman who would become Caleb's favourite family member.

Throughout his childhood, Caleb never experienced hardship. His family were well-off, and the only bad thing that happened was that his grandfather died -- but he was 85 at the time, so that was hardly unexpected. Besides, Caleb had never been that close to him.

His grandmother -- or Abuelita, as he called her -- on the other hand... he's always been very close to her. His parents were always too busy working to care for him, so Emanuel's mother took on the role of carer. She was the number one contributing factor to Caleb's enjoyable childhood, and the two spent countless hours every week in the kitchen, cooking empanadas, boliche, paella -- Bembé's mother was from Valencia -- and countless other delicious foods.

Then came school -- high school. Not wanting to place too much pressure on his mother to look after Caleb after school -- and not trusting him to look after himself -- Emanuel decided to send him to Harrow, where he would be educated in a more than satisfactory manner and board there. Caleb excelled in all his classes as a freshman and sophomore, back when he actually cared. As of junior year, his grades dropped to C's and he spent consistently more time outside of the school grounds, only attending enough to avoid being expelled. Then, the first round of senior year came. Caleb was eighteen, and legally able to drink. He found himself mixed up in the wrong group, driving recklessly and getting drunk at parties on the weekends. At the end of the year, he had failed to pass any of his classes except English -- apparently being drunk is a good way to write essays (for Caleb) -- and he would have to repeat.

The second time around, Caleb has vowed to do better. Mostly because after his parents forced him to get a tutor, he and Kieran fell in love. His parents would murder him if they knew -- mostly because they want him to actually get good grades, not spend all his tutoring time writing poetry about how pretty Kieran is. He's not entirely sure how homophobic they are -- probably not as bad as his grandfather was, but he's not sure. Of course, if all else fails, his abuelita is there to support him and provide him with empanadas.

Lucas tries to be a good person. He spent most of his life around conservative, Christian, white men over forty, so that's bound to have some sort of impact, but he does his best to overcome it. Of course, it helps that his father was the one to impose those beliefs on him. Because once he realised that he liked guys, his father became less of a parent and more of a monster in his eyes.
Lucas is smart -- street smart and book smart -- but he never applied for a scholarship. He didn't need one, and he refused to take someone else's chance at getting into the school. So you could argue that he's kind, empathetic.
As far as trying to help goes, Lucas is a master at failing. He tries a lot, but rarely succeeds. He can't explain it, he just seems to mess up all the time. Whether it's an unwanted addition to someone else's idea, or just accidental insensitivity, he seems to always end up irritating someone.

Lucas and Dylan Arlington were born to a wealthy conservative businessman and his trophy wife, the third and fourth of four sons. Due to their mother's... medical conditions... the four boys were looked after by a babysitter most days. As each reached age five, they were sent off to a private primary school to be educated in a manner that their father approved of.

In the beginning, it was subtle. A slight shake of the head, a quiet reprimand whenever he saw something he didn't like. 'Don't talk to those children,' he'd say, 'Their father cheated on his wife with a man.' Arguably, it was worse, because nobody could see it happening. Behind closed doors, Paul Arlington silently poisoned his children's minds.

Then, when Lucas was seven, it happened. His twin brother got sick at school, and had to be sent home. Their babysitter was on holidays, and so their mother was reluctantly forced to pick Dylan up.
On the way back home -- a long, winding route that crossed several bridges over the river -- Sandra must have had an epileptic fit, because the car had swerved violently and rammed into the side of the bridge they'd been on -- this was from an eyewitness account given that afternoon -- and plunged over the side into the river. Dylan and their mother were killed instantly.

That day marked the turning point of Lucas' life from great to terrible. His mother had been at least ninety percent of the reason why his father did not punish the boys, nor voice his loathing for some types of people as loudly.
He quickly learned to hide his feelings -- both emotional and romantic -- especially after the incident.

The incident was the worst day of Lucas' life. He was twelve, naive. He thought he knew everything, he was certain nothing could stop him. It was Valentine's Day, and he had been given a card. The moment his father saw it, he asked who had given it to him. Foolishly, Lucas answered. It had been one of the boys in his class, one that he had liked back for quite some time. He didn't mention that part to his father -- his reaction to their gender was more than enough to clue him in.

Lucas spent the next three years pretending to be straight. He got a girlfriend, agreed with his father as much as possible, and was getting excellent grades.
That all changed the next year. His girlfriend dumped him -- which he was a little sad about, but they'd been growing apart already -- and he and his father fell out. His grades remained excellent, because he's smart, and he fell in love with a boy.

He knew, after the incident with Valentine's Day, that his father could not find out. So far, so good, but it's really only a matter of time.

Benji didn't want his mother, stepfather (whom he'd come to call father and treat just like one), or his little brother to get hurt, so he took his mother's maiden name and went off to Harrow High.

Despite his stepfamily's meddling, Benji maintains a close relationship with his maternal relatives, and every long holiday is a trip back to his hometown, away from the stepfamily that hates his sexuality.

Holding the door open, getting you a drink, saying her please and thank yous, small things like that. Ruby doesn't trust easy however, and if you lay a hand on her she will probably spread a rumor about you and never look at you again. Ruby is also known to be obliviously flirtatious, as she just kind of speaks to people without even thinking of whats coming out of her mouth. So don't be surprised if she tells your lover that she thinks they're hot.

THE BUCHANAN RESIDENCE WAS ONCE FILLED WITH LOVE. Before the marble countertops, before the diamonds, before the money, there was love. Richard and Maddison Buchanan were madly in love, and loved everything about each other. And with that, came their beautiful baby girl, Ruby. Things were so perfect, it seemed as though things would be that way forever. But every happy story develops a villian.

Ruby still remembers seeing her mother be abused. Thrown around and hit, sworn at and all the like. It's some of her most hated memories. Richard abused Ruby's mother for years before Maddion had finlly had enough, and proceeded to not only fight back but throw her husband in jail. Ever since then, Maddison has never been able to trust a man again, and instead, takes from them before they can take from her and her precious baby.

Ruby has learned quite a lot from her mother, like how to make a man fall for you but also how to lose your mind. A part of Ruby, the one that isn't angry with the world for being terrible, just wants everything to be the way it was when she was first born, but she knows that isn't going to happen. So she just goes to school, gets passing grades, and spends hundreds of dollars on things she doesn't even need. Because, what else would a lonely rich babe do?
