Jessica Reik | 3 comments I'm trying to find the name of a book I read a few years ago. I only remember vague details. I know the hero is some type of cop and a shifter who saves the heroine after she is attacked by an evil vampire. The girl becomes a vampire but doesn't fully change (I believe). The hero takes her to a vampire he knows to train her on how to not answer her makers call. This is definitely a mature readers book. It falls under the ménage category. It also is book 1 of a series. Any help would be grately appreciated.

Jessica Reik | 3 comments It's not Logan's Arcadian Wolves, but that series looks good too! Thank you for trying! :)

Marie | 273 comments Chloe Neill wrote a Urban Fantasy series that have some things in common with what you're describing. Check out the "Chicagoland Vampires" series, starting with Some Girls Bite

The Main character was attacked by a vampire, so when a Master vampire found her dying, he decided to change her into a vampire without her consent. The change isn't complete so she sort of has an "inner tigress" that she identifies as her vampire half. She is a really powerful vampire in term of psychic ability, which means she can resist her Master's mental call. She's sent to a wizard to be trained in sword fighting. The love interest is the Master vampire, but she's also friends with shifters who are in a sort of secret branch of the police that keep an eye on the supernatural.

No ménage as far as I know, but the author might have published a more mature novella derived from the series.

Jessica Reik | 3 comments Thank you Marie! I completely forgot that the Chicagoland Vampire series was similar to the series I'm looking for. This one is definitely different though. I truly appreciate your response!
