"Huh? How did you know that?" Nanami asked surprised.

"I'm very old sweetie" Melody laughed at how stunned Nanami was

"And how old are you?" Nanami asked, sensing the angel with her abilities. Which, as Melody had said, registered the fact that she was indeed older than Nanami had initially thought.

"Oh umm well." The question caught Melody off guard, she actually forgot. She had stopped counting long time ago. "I actually don't remember my age, you tend to stop after awhile. So Nanami wanna play the question game?"

Nanami chuckled lightly. "Well that's true, I only have a vague notion myself," tilting her head, she said, "sure."

"No actually but I have had many welcome me in as their own over the centuries" Thinking of something fun. "So anyone special in your life?"

"No, not anymore," said Nanami, thinking about her former partner. "You?"

"It was my friend Donolo. I lost him a long time ago during a war." Lost in her memories Melody snapped out of it. "So this guy he must of been special.... I can tell by the expression on your face."

Nanami smiled lightly, and said softly, "yes, he was. Very. The only one so far to be that special to me."

"Aww it was love" Melody spoke as she remembered what it was like

Nanami smiled sadly, "yes it was, was it like that for you and Donolo?"

" Not at first. Donolo was different he was mean and rough around the edges but it made me love him even more. The first time we met it was on a battle field during a great holy war. With me being a warrior angel I couldn't help my self during those times. It wasn't until after the battle I saw him taking the souls of the fallen. I didn't care at the time I only looked for Sao she was my friend and one of the best angels you'd ever meet but I gotten to her to late she was gone." Taking breath Melody recollected her self

"Ah, I see, he was taking the souls of those who had fallen?" Nanami asked, confused. Did that mean he was a reaper? or....?

[Shay]

"Oh sorry yes Donolo was a reaper."

"Oh, I see! Did he...did he take your friend's soul too?" Nanami asked, taking a seat on the ground.

"Yes he took her but I gave him hell about it. We argued until it was just us. He finally gave up on arguing and did the unexpected, he hugged me until tears came out by the dozen. Donolo was a cold hearted person but in that moment I broke him for the first time as he broke me. I finally gave Sao up to him because I knew she was in good hands. It had be a decade when we met for the second time. It was another battle I had fought long and hard and came out victorious, I'd gotten home to find him there waiting for me." Laughing hard at the memory Melody almost forgot Nanami

Nanami smiled, understanding perfectly what kind of relationship there must have been between them. "Sounds like an epic romance. Least to say me and my lover were a little less intense. More, slowly drawing towards each other over time kind of thing."

"How so"

"My lover was my former reaper partner. We were both created to reap the seventh sea. At first it was all about the job, but when you work that closely with someone, nearly all the time, it's bound to stir feelings. We clicked from the beginning and well," Nanami shrugged, "later on, events and whatnot, led to rando kisses in the dark, and confessions..." in bed Nanami added in her mind.

[Shay]

"Both of you reapers... How lovely but what happened to him."

[Nina {ᴡᴏʀᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀᴛᴇʀ}, ~ Queen of Hell ~]

"Yeah, easy. Well, let's just say, there was an assignment gone wrong," said Nanami sadly as thought about what happened to her partner and lover.

[Shay]

"If you don't wanna talk about it it's ok you doth have to." Melody said with a strong smile.

Nanami looked up at Melody, and smiled, softly, she said, "it is probably better not to talk about it. I feel like I intruded on your story, what happened to Donolo ?"

[Shay]

"Ok" she said searching for her last memory of Donolo "As you know by now I'm a battle angel and I can't get enough of it. That day I lead my army into a war. We were wining I fought with all my might until I came face to face with with an fallen angel. He was blood thirst and strong, we were toe to toe until I was stabbed by a poisonous dagger. I'd fallen weak from the wound, the angel advanced cutting and stabbing me until I couldn't move no more. Just before the end Donolo did the worst thing possible. He swept in and reaped the fallen angel." Whipping away the tears that seemed to have formed she recollected herself once again

"Before he was supposed to be reaped?" Nanami gasped, then awkwardly patted Melody on the back.

[Shay]

"Thank you." Melody pulled her self together "In that moment I've never been more afraid of him. He carried me back to our home. He laid with me making sure I healed properly. Then he sung to me the most beautiful song ever. Made just for me to help me sleep. Drifting in and out of sleep I remember him saying goodbye. By morning I knew he was gone forever." Smiling Melody looked into Nanami's eyes "I will always love him"

"Ah, sorry to hear that, and no note saying why he left?" Asked Nanami.

[Shay]

"No, for the longest I thought he simply left but now the only suitable answer is that he's dead. Maybe he gave himself to the queen."

"Ah...perhaps he's alive? There is hope," said Nanami, then she tilted her head, "Most likely not to the Queen...Hell has been known to have only had one lover. THough now, two."

"True but she still might have killed him but if he is a alive why hasn't he come back to me?"

Nanami shrugged, "she might have, she is Hell, but her fallen angel lover, is rumoured to have made her kinder all those years ago. If he hasn't come back, maybe he hasn't been able to?"

[Shay]

Despair filled Melody she couldn't breathe "Ugh why why why"

Nanami patted her back awakwardly, and said, "I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation."

It was late afternoon and Lennox was on his way back to his dorm having just been in town wandering around passing time. As he crossed the Atrium, he saw a girl with pink hair looking...well, to put it simply, lost.

Lennox looked at her as she approached and tilted his head. Unfortunately, he had this permanent frown on his forehead, from years of fighting in the angel wars. And like Cara had said, it made him look scary, like she could talk. He smiled at Ariella, "Hi, can I help you?" he asked.
