Female Lead is the sweetest thing, (everyone says so) She cares for everyone, especially the local Doctor, always with a smile on her face and joy in her heart. He thinks he is too old for her.
She starts having headaches, dizzy spells and blackouts, which she keeps hidden from everyone. As she is walking down the porch steps she falters, the Doctor catches her before she falls and insists on examining her. (I think he takes her to a hospital in a nearby town) She is diagnosed with a brain tumor. The Doctor performs surgery in the newly built church to try and save her life.
