Lovely interview. It's always refreshing to hear how your mind works, Jane.

Great interview!

And isn't everybody gobsmacked the first time they read the Song of Solomon? Yeah it's naughty, but it's also the most beautiful language

You are old so you shouldn't do that
You should only like knitting. And cats
It shouldn't be you
With a brand-new tattoo
Making love on an old yoga mat
Am going to post a series of growing old disgracefully limericks on my FB pages. I think....
What say you

I certainly was! :) The best part of the bible IMO!

You shouldn't make jokes
Or argue with folks

hahaha I'll be honest, I don't particularly like poems but I love that one!
And no, old people shouldn't change how they are or stopped talking. I figure I only have but a few years left to make myself heard. Now is not the time to become silent! :)

Growing old disgracefully is the best way.

Always nice to have people at your back, breathing down it, watching your every move.

Nice interview, Jane! I especially like your answer: "People who want a bit of aaah in their lives."

Truly. There were layers of the Song of Solomon that passed over my head when I was seven or eight and first read it. But the beauty of the language put hooks in me...

This is my ideal look when I'm 80. I want to be this.

Yup. Father William was part of the inspiration. The rest is just reaction to how the world looks at older women...

RESPECT. Although you aren't yet old enough to qualify for a limerick of your very own....X
Unless you want one
And the next post is definitely NOT Christina's own limerick

With your mouth-ends turned down
And a grumpy-arse frown
From under your middle-aged hat

That's a great review! Makes me want to go get the book! I'll add it to my TBR list! :)

Freda and Bill went up the hill
To the shop at the end of the street
They bought syrup for chills
Viagra pills
And corn pads for Freda's sore feet
