Mely (mneg) | 6 comments Hi, I'm Mely. I'm just a follower of various book tubers (I'm "monilily", in case you see my comments on YT) and I've been on GR for a few years. Just recently started writing reviews so that I can connect with like-minded readers. My favorite genre of books are probably historical fiction, adult contemporary, and thriller. I'm always up for a read-a-long so hoping to make some new reading friends. My TBR for October is pretty full, so I'll probably be joining in November. Excited to read my second Lehane novel!

Welcome, Mely! Glad you're here. I just read Shutter Island last month and am SO excited to read another Lehane. I'm looking forward to November!

Thanks! I guess I missed the memo on that one. I just put it on hold at my library.

Kathryn (an80slady6886) Hi. I'm Kathryn. I follow several booktubers including Krista. Been meaning to join in, but finally a book interested me enough. Thrillers are sometimes hit or miss for me, but I'll give it a try and hope for the best. This is a new author for me.

message 60: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Nowitzky (ajn1013) | 7 comments Hi! My name is Andrea. I watch and subscribe to several booktubers, including Krista. After she mentioned this group on one of her videos, I thought I would check it out.
I would really like to meet some other readers and participate in some bookish discussions.

My favorite genres are fantasy, sci-fi and YA, though I’ll read pretty much any fiction. My favorite author is Neil Gaiman. I don’t think I can pick a favorite book — that’s like being asked to pick a favorite child.

I’m really excited about the middle grade picks for March. With my children being 9 and 10, I’ve started reading more middle grade (both with them and on my own).

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and can’t wait to get to know everyone!

message 61: by Debbi (new)

Debbi Faust Hi Andrea, I am glad to meet you. Your reading tastes and mine are very different. I mostly read historical fiction and contemporary but recently I have started reading a lot of middle grade books and I am loving them. For sure, I am going to join in for Middle Grade March.

message 62: by Heather (new)

Heather (loveinthelibrary) | 3 comments Hello! I'm a new avid fan of booktube and have recently found Krista's/Books and Jams channel. Currently on maternity leave with my second little, booktube and bookstagram has been amazing for giving me some social interaction with someone over the age of 2. Plus, books are a huge love of mine - I love discussing them and reading/listening to all the great reviews and recommendations.
Although I feel that I read a variety of genres, I don't think I would have picked up a middle grade book if not for this March challenge. I am so excited to start and I look forward to joining this readalong group in April :)

CJ (chicarita) | 10 comments Hi everyone. My name is Cassy. I should have introduced myself first before I started to participate in The Alice Network read along. (oops) :) I'm a mom and "Grammy" to 4 and 4. I live in Northwestern Wisconsin. I've had a Good Reads account for a few years. Books and Jams is one of the BookTube channels that I watch regularly. I have read and like several of the books I see on there. My profile tells all the types of genres I enjoy reading and the genres that I'm currently devouring and can't get enough of. Right now, I'm really into Historical Fiction, Thriller/Mystery and Contemporary Romance. I hope to make some friends here. Thanks for allowing me to join you all.

message 64: by Candi (new)

Candi (candilovesbooks) Hello. I love to read many different genres. However, not too many romance ones, lol. Unless it has adventure or humor in the storyline. I used to read more in the past I hope being a part of this community will nudge me back into it.

message 65: by Pat (new)

Pat Ford | 1 comments Hi Krista and group!

My name is Pat and I live in Texas. Ever since I was a child I have loved to read. I think I got my love of reading from my Mom. Recently I felt as though I have gotten away from reading, so I'm trying some things to re-motivate me to read. I tried book of the month to try different genres and now this group. My favorite genres are historical fiction and mystery/suspense. My favorite book is The Nightingale.

I follow you on u-tube and really enjoy you and your channel! You're always so positive and sweet.

Terri (tee_reads) | 57 comments Hi Pat! Welcome to the group!

Debbi Faust Hey, Pat! If you love historical fiction and if The Nightingale is your favorite book, you have found the right group. YAY!

Thanks, Pat! Welcome to the group! Glad you're here. Sounds like we have some reading tastes in common.

Floor tussendeboeken (floorflawless) Hi everyone!

My name is Floor and I'm from The Netherlands.
I started a booktube channel not too long ago which is called Crazy Booklady! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoP_...

My go to genre is thriller, but I read as widely as possible and that leads to some very nice gems every now and then!

message 70: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Galloway (wendygalloway) | 4 comments Hi - my name is Wendy. I only recently found Book Tube - apparently I live a very sheltered life. I found the fun and fab Krista on there and enjoyed her channel. I finally decided to check out her reading group on here and I am going to try and keep up. I love books - I love reading. I have loved it for as long as I can remember but I do have down times that I don't end up reading for a while - thankfully I always come back. 2019 was my best reading year in quite a while so I am hoping to keep it going.

ReadAlongWithSue recovering from a stroke★⋆. ࿐࿔ Hi I’m sue. I live in UK.
I’ve been a book blogger for 12 years.
I am married, have 2 grown adult children.
Love reading. Thrillers, drama/family type stories, books like Jodi Picoult and Kristine Hannah.
Historical thrillers. Not much into fantasy or sci go though.

I’ve diced with starting a book channel, but, there’s so many out there already. Also, where would I get the time to read and follow my fav book tubers 😂

Jennifer | 17 comments Hello! I'm Jennifer and I'm from Kansas. I absolutely love to read and my Mom and several people have said if you see me worhout a book something is wrong, lol (April was a bad reading month for me due to not being able to focus on reading. I'm hoping to get out of this slump or whatever you'd call it in May). I am looking forward to reading May's book pick with this group.
