Yes. When you edit and save as default description, you are telling it to override the description on all editions that have the default selected.
Ok, thanks. I thought I'd figured out what had happened as I typed, but wanted to be sure of it.
I just cleaned up a description on this book and removed all the reviews from various publications, then set that description as a default. It seemed to override all of the other descriptions. In this particular case, it wasn't a big deal because the other description was entirely reviews from publications, but I was wondering if that was how it was supposed to work.
As I was typing this I wondered if perhaps the description that vanished had been the default before, and with a new default that description was overidden?
